OMFG BIAS

You're mostly right, though. Thing is, they hardly ever need a Plan B as their Plan A is so ******* good.

Yeah, exactly. BUT - when they do struggle and aren't playing Malaga or someone, they don't have a big-man or another, DIFFERENT player up front and Guardiola is just being silly in buying another striker so similar to Villa and just hoping that at one point or another one or both will be in form and they'll be fine without realising that the form of strikers is also down to the defence they come up against and opposition tactics.

Plan B myth is overrated. There is no need for another plan when your plan A is so ****** good. (And also their plan B is hounding ref ;) )

When they are trailing pique plays as CF and wins lot of headers in the final third. So that counts as plan B if they really want one.

Plan A is great, superb u can sing praises about it all day but in a one off game, anything can happen and I am sure wise old Fergie would note that Plan A can be stopped, then where will Barca turn too

First thing first, I'm not the one who sing praises about Barca.

In one off game anything can happen. You can have plan z still you will end up losing few games. Plan B is just media bs.

If Plan A can be stopped, then how many teams have done that? There is no need to disrupt the plan when it is winning you 9/10 games..

I think Barcelona actually has a few different "plans". 1st, tiki taka. 2nd, when things are looking bad, pass it to Messi. 3rd, when Messi is being tightly marked or has no impact, hound the officials.

And according to Daily Mirror, Man Utd had agreed a 16m deal for De Gea. I would be more than pleased. if that happened.

I know Comolli is heading off again to Spain, France and Holland again over the next 2 weeks. PSG target is Sakho
we have a "structure" this year for the first time in years and that is to get most if not all in by pre season.
Speaking to real sociedad and Valencia. most certainly Mata. Not sure at sociedad. I presume its Griezman.

From 'Thommo', an ITK.

Barcelona want Borussia's Mario Götze.

Enjoy the rumours

Barcelona have reached a personal deal with Villarreal forward Giuseppe Rossi (24) for the next 4 seasons. [cadena ser] Twitter

Assuming Villarreal agree to the deal (typical Barcelona to agree a fee with the player before the team -> tapping up much?), Bojan is probably going the other way making a deal even less likely for Fabregas IMO. The rumours I posted before suggesting that Barcelona would offer 2 (out of 4) fringe-players + 30M for Fabregas. Although it was reported these players wouldn't include Bojan or Thiago, and although Wenger isn't likely to accept any bids anyway, I would be very surprised if Barcelona were able to make a deal now - without Bojan as a make-weight since they won't go above 40M straight.

Rossi, Pique both learned their trade at United, playing their best years for Barca..

Wish we never went for Tevez as Rossi would have stayed and got first team chances at ManUtd..

A fan asked Chelsea new boy Lucas Piazon if Neymar will be joining Chelsea and he replied saying I think so. I know it may not mean much but its pushed my hopes up of Chelsea signing Neymar a bit more lol.

Rossi was at Utd for 2 years. Only one of which he was actually in Manchester for. Hardly learning his trade there.. Also not sure you can say Rossi is playing his best years at Barca - we haven't seen him there yet.

Pique, like Fabregas was made the player he is by an English club having spent arguably the 4 most important years of his career there, so I agree with that.

I assume the argument you're trying to make is that Utd are amazing and have made two top talents (one by my reckoning) although it also shows how stupid Utd were to let them both go. Now both valued significantly higher than the £5-10M you received for each of them when you sold them. Tevez was hardly bad at Utd, either...

Not sure what an 18 YO Reserve Player would know about it. Are Chelsea still interested in Neymar and Lukaku having signed Torres and with Sturridge as back-up to he and Drogba?

Hardly, Pique being a good player as he is, isn't in my opinion in the same class as Vidic and Ferdinand and wasn't ever going to get in the team ahead of either of them + like Fabregas, he wanted to go back to the club he began at so we let him. Hardly us being stupid is it.

To be honest, I'd say Pique's one of the best in the world. Better than Ferdinand.

Rossi was at United for 3 years. 3 Important years from 17-20. We will see him at Barca so he will play his best years at Barca

Its not an argument that we made 2 great talents, its a fact. We were not stupid. Pique would never got a chance ahead of Rio and Vidic and he wanted to move to Barca (Much like Fabregas). Rossi needed first team action, which we were not able to provide when we signed Tevez. Hence i didn't want us to sign Tevez. Hindsight is ***** though. Who had thought that Tevez will leave us after just 2 years..

A few rumors from BBC Sport:

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp says they are in a three-way battle with Liverpool and Arsenal to sign West Ham midfielder Scott Parker.

Roma are considering a £5m move for want-away Arsenal midfielder Denilson, who has been told he can leave the Emirates.

Manchester City and Arsenal have been told they can sign Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill for £17m this summer, but are also both admirers of Blackburn Rovers stopper Phil Jones.

Tottenham will step up their interest in Lille's £10m-rated striker Gervinho after boss Harry Redknapp watched the Ivory Coat international twice last week, but Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are also tracking the 23-year-old.

Tottenham could offer defender Sebastian Bassong to Stoke in an effort to lure Potters defender Ryan Shawcross to White Hart Lane.
