Listen (or rather - don't listen) to the Arsecast. Or read a blog before we play Stoke - **** WILL appear every other word ;)

Scrap that, seen **** a few times in his recent post.

Reports in France are saying Arsenal have lost Gael Clichy to Manchester City. Another player that has fell through the grasps of Liverpool.

Not sure "lost" is the right word. We thought there were other, better LBs available so we didn't push the boat out to make him re-sign. Probably made a tidy profit tbh.

Also don't think he really fell from their grasp. They wanted him cheap - clearly wasn't first choice target for LB but if they could have got him for the £5m they offered (or near that) they would have a bargain. City probably came in with an offer of £10m + so we bit their hands off... Plus there's the wages etc. Basically; don't think LFC had firm interest... more just weighing up options.

Sad to see him go, though - genuinely believe he can be an excellent LB with some protection from player ahead of him and competition to keep him focused. Came through the ranks and stepped up brilliantly when we sold Cashley Hole.

yeah Pedroza, had spells at Chelsea and Arsenal as a youngster (he is only 20 now though)

going for £7m, not big fan, but thats a bargain,

Clichy to City for 7m pounds seems to be pretty much a done deal. I didn't expect that one. Came completely out of the blue. But thats a real bargain. Young left-back but he is one of the best left-backs there is. With his peak years ahead of him. And very experienced aswell...aswell as homegrown.

Im glad Mancini ended his interest in Cissokho who is much much worse than Clichy. No doubt Clichy will become even better under Mancinis guidance and this time he will play in a solid 4-man defence. With help in defence from the midfield.

Poor decision to let Clichy go if reports in France are true.

For those of you who might care...

Frings and Koevermans move to my hometown side Toronto FC.

:D
