Shay Given said he wouldn't turn down Celtic. I'd love to see him up here, and we NEED a keeper!

The Honduran international has also been linked with Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal, and Aston Villa.
However, it appears the Reds are best-placed to conclude a move for the 25-year-old after he picked them out of the list of parties reportedly interested.
‘It is flattering for any player of course, when somebody like Liverpool shows an interest in your services,’ Izaguirre told Central American publication La Tribuna.

The same Ancelotti that was so desperate to stay in England that he was willing to go into the Championship? Your telling me that he would turn down a top 5 team? Really?

Think Moyes would, he looked like he had given up all hope during this season and reckon he would be lured by the opportunity of working with some money.

? When did he say he would go the Championship? I know there were rumours (bullshit) about him going to QPR...

Yeah Moyes could be tempted but I think Ancelotti wants to go back to Italy.

Gil Marín: "Agüero won't go to Real Madrid. Atlético won't negociate with R.Madrid and Florentino Perez has told me he won't pay the clause"

a) He said - "I would coach West Ham - why not,” he told News of the World.

"It's a challenge to manage a team outside of the top four and even in the Championship.

"The atmosphere at West Ham is amazing and I can say the same about football in the Championship.

"I have respect for every team and the job of my colleagues. It is the same and it doesn't matter if you can manage a top team or a smaller team.

"It's your job, and for me it's important to work. I was happy to train in the second division when I was learning.

"If a club said to me, 'You can manage this club without money', I'd have to decide whether to accept or not.

"Money is not a motivation. The money has never been a motivation for me.

"I don't think it's a motivation for the players either. It's not a strong motivation to play for the money at this level.

"The motivation is to play, to win, to be the best. To stay at the top as a player, as a manager, this is a good motivation. To give a good image of yourself, this is a good motivation.

"The Championship is also fantastic, the stadiums are fantastic. I have seen a lot of games on TV and the atmosphere is fantastic.

"If you watch a game in Italy in the second division, then in the stadium there will be say 2,000 people. It is totally different in England."

b) He also said - “I want to stay in England and I assure you that next season I won’t come back to Italy.” said Ancelotti after visiting family in Italy.

There :)

a) I wouldn't trust a word NOTW say.

b) Fair enough. Still don't think he'll go to Tottenham - not because of their stature (although he could easily get a CL job) just 'cos!

Ahhh I see. They must have made everything up and lied about what he said purely because theyre 'NOTW'

French veteran Robert Pires has hit out at a perceived lack of respect during his spell at Aston Villa.
The 37-year-old joined Villa on a six-month deal in November after leaving Villarreal, but he made just 12 appearances for the club.
The French winger was left frustrated by his lack of first-team action and has branded his stay at the club as a 'failure'.
"When I look back, I am extremely disappointed," he told The Express and Star.

""I knew I wasn't going to be a guaranteed starter but I would have liked to have been used a bit more.
"During the match at Arsenal, we were winning 2-0 and I thought Gary McAllister was going to put me on. It was at that moment I said to myself there was a lack of respect.
"My experience at Villa has been a failure."

Set for the MLS I think now

Lol. Lack of respect? Only thing lacking was your ability to move mate. Less mobile than Adrian Chiles after a particularly tricky ****.

haha was waiting for your response lol

Haha. He's being an idiot though. If we were cruising to victory in a 2-0 win in like the 85th minute, it'd be a whole different ball game (even though it still wouldn't have shown a lack of respect not to put him on), but as it was we were almost immediately under the cosh. I don't see what Pires' particular brand of 37 year old lethargy would have contributed past maybe losing us the game.

Waaah. He's a big boy now, he should be professional.

Besides, we were a bit busy beating you to put on a good show. :D

Not really a transfer rumour, but more of a National Team rumour:

Del Bosque said Raul's return to the spanish national team is possible!

Yeah! Raul deserves to be in that national team!!

Oh and transfer rumour:

croatian Jerko Leko signs back with his old club Dinamo Zagreb to enhance their squad for next season to fight to enter the Champions League :)

-------

a bit of an old news:

Goal.com is a fail in accurate reporting along with Caught Offside & talk s****.

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually got this one right though.
