Yeah the Sevilla board had rejected our offer earlier anyways, they wanted 50% more than we were offering.
 
For now unknown club has triggered Diame release clause.

Meh sod that. Besides, we're about to wrap up a deal for young defender John Stones (Barnsley) for something in the region of £3-£5 million. He's only 18, but can play RB or CB, and apparently is full of potential and a future international which makes me excited. Had to fight off Wigan though. Just need to get the medical out the way and the usual paperworky stuff. By the sounds of it, once again DM has nabbed a real gem of a player for the future
 
I would've preferred a more offensive player in all honesty. We've been lacking a goal threat for a while now.

Thing is, there's not too much in the market. I have a feeling we might just be the ones to have triggered Diame's clause, though.

I'm not sure about that in all honesty. Would be great if it was but there's absolutely no word from merseysides Blue Half or anything. Great if it was but I'm not holding my breath to be honest

What's the point? Ribery has been hands down the best winger in Europe this season, completely unplayable at times. I don't need to say anything about Mueller about last night and what about Kroos and Shaqiri?
