Even in my tramadol induced state cities skylines is amazing I am gunna put it out there game of the year for me, the attention to the details is ridiculous, just the little things like water pollution.

It's like someone took the crack that is FM and the smack that is Civ and made them into a beautiful speedball of never sleeping.

Pillars of Eternity coming out tommorow. Shaping up to be true Baldur's Gate successor - based on a lot of the similar concepts (isometric, party based, real time with pause combat, exploration focused etc), and its made by Obsidian that took many of the survivors from legendary Black Isle studio.

Past few weeks I was trying really hard to keep my expectations low so I don't end up dissapointed, but I failed as **** because I haven't been this hyped for a game in a decade.

Let me know if it is any good, tempted to buy it got 500 quid coming back from HMRC soon but I'm not sure still haven't started divinity original sin yet

So when I posted this post on Wednesday I opened a ticket with Steam and they still haven't replied good job I managed to fix the fecking thing myself

One does not simply open a ticket with Steam and expect a reply.

They should follow Blizzards example with live chat. I opened a ticket with not being able to access World of Warcraft. They were busy as **** due to servers going down. Live chat answered within 30 secs. Problem sorted less than 5 minutes. They were awesome.

Steam are just utter **** to be frank. Blizzard put a lot of companies to shame-these companies should do a lot better with customer service, and I've worked in the sector before and companies like Steam make me cringe so hard.

I know they're ***** I just keep forgetting, my last ticket was in 2011 just checked, I opened it on July 24th and they answered on August 5th XD

I gotta say Pillars is really good, all those raving reviews are absolutely right. They pulled of a very hard task of modernizing and refreshing old school RPG gameplay, while simultaneously staying true to the style and feeling Baldur and other classic RPGs had. There's too many little improvements and changes to list here that improve a lot on that oldschool experience.

There's shitload of text, its basically like playing a fantasy novel, but if you want you can skip most of the dialogue since they get auto-summarized in the Journal. The entire game pretty is huge, I'm 15 hours in and still in Act I and I've been skipping some locations. (there's 4 acts). Story is pretty good so far, graphics are decent for an isometric game, solid interface and great tutorials that let you figure out things while playing instead of reading the manual for first 5h. Didn't notice any bugs. Well polished game overall.

One thing I dislike is the combat. Man I forgot just how much I hate real time with pause. Hated it in Baldur and I hate it here - far too much frenzy and micromanagemnt for 33 year old me. Turn based mode would be much prefered.

I like the game. It's really nice. Cheap when you consider how many times you can play it again with different approach. Playing on easy since I'm new to this kind of games, but it seems to me its too easy so far ( though i just got sent to that other world and I just watch some dudes turning into stone). Still don't get the story of the game, but mix of text, voice acting and real-time battle system is really my thing.

I'm playing Football Planet now. It's a card game, another kind of management game. Not bad though.
But I know FM is the best.

About 40h into PE, starting on Act 3. The game is amazing, beats Baldur's Gate by a mile. There's been some bugs but apparently most will be fixed with a patch tommorow.

Also, my sleep depredation haven't been this bad since I left uni.

Think I may purchase this once my tax return comes.

lately been playing a whole bunch of world of mix martial arts and total extreme wrestling both with real world mods, if you're old school like me and like text based games they're awesome. Never even knew they existed till last week which is a shame steep learning curve plethora of stats they're bit like old school champ manager but for wrestling and MMA respectively.

Bah just done something that my bank account is gunna hate me for for the rest of the month, just bought a PS4, I'm blaming the copias amount of Jacques I drank last night! Got the last of us, GTA and dying light there's my night sorted!

Absolutely loving the PS4 shame majority of my friends have an xbox one! Anyone on base feel free to add me Spartan_5885 you will find me playing fifa, hardline or right now blasting through destiny!

The PS$ is absolutely ******* stunning, Still got it at BF4 after a 18 month hiatus, loving GTA and Destiny is brilliant. Only problem for me is lack of people I know who have them for online play but that issue will be resolved I hope in time.

So I have not been paying attention to Steam much but I have recently started a forum BaP game and log out of FM and see that there is Paid mods now. I cannot decide what to make of it as I only know very little about it so feel free to put me straight. Now personally I think if it is a full conversion mod done to a really high ttandard I would never begrudge someone getting paid for their work at all especially if it has 100's of man hours in it.

That being said I really do not think this is going to work and an already volatile community in Steam is probably going to go into full on clusterfuck mode, I need to know more before I form an opinion on this however as I want to know if there is set criteria for mods to be paid or whether anyone can do it. The simple answer is simply do not buy rubbish mods, I really do not know, I have noticed skyrim has a tonne of negative reviews since they launched it. Also one thing I have sen but not sure if its true Valve take a 75 percent cut that is crazy.
