So had a day off today decided a full day on Fallout was required, playing on survival had some crazy things happen whilst trawling the wasteland. But mainly been exploring and crafting tbh, anyway I am very much a horder when it comes to RPG games so I have caps to burn. Went into vault 81 and bought the Overseers Guardian, incidently got caught stealing some wonderglue so had to kill the full vault (fun times). Anyways its a good gun but I changed recever to .45 because it doubled its damaged and I have a serious abundance of that ammo. Anyway its made the gun way OP, literally just killed Swan (legendary boss) in something like 10 shots. I can hit kill super mutants on their arm, its quite fun but I am having to gimp myself to keep the game challenging even though its on survival. Anyway lots fun! got all night left yet to see what other mayhem I conjur up!

Okay more salt from Overwatch.

It's team based FPS-well how can that happen when I'm the only one communicating-in every game on EU server? I mean dear god. Now I get there's going to be a language barrier for most, or they aren't comfortable using a headset. Then what about typing something? I mean for the love of god, I've been playing over a month-I can count on less than five fingers, on the EU server, when someone has actually bothered to help the team out by calling shots or by typing ANYTHING. It's literally only myself.

But if you hop on NA it's a completely different story. And good god compared to the NA, the levels of toxic garbage is mindblowing in EU. And I swear to god, if I get one more Genji douchebag spamming "I need healing" after I've died as healer..... You're a flanker. Use medpacks. I WILL NOT BE GOING WHERE YOU'RE GOING.

If you don't want to communicate via any form in a team based FPS it's not the game for you. Sorry. But you're affecting the teams chances of winning. You don't have to speak on the mic-just type.

End of salt.

Now for the positive spin. When you call the shots that turn the game around for your team resulting in a win-it's incredibly satisfying. To the point you feel smug as **** lol. Number of times I've been able to do this has made the game incredibly more enjoyable for myself and others. So many close games

It's a much better experience on the NA servers to be honest. People are a lot more friendly and supportive. I've given up on EU. Okay my ping and RTT suffers a bit, but it's not unplayable. And it's a more enjoyable experience

Yeah my net isn't what it used to be tbh, it used be great used to play a lot of Battlefield clan matches vs the yanks with little to no lag, but then they supposedly upgraded the line and I am lucky if I get DL of 1.3mb/s and upload is non existent

1.3 DL? Sweet jesus that's pretty bad. Managed to upgrade to Sky Fibre unlimited for what I used to pay using unlimited standard broadband (£27 pm inc line rental)-first time haggling aswell so happy (got out of having to pay the £50 activation fee and only £10 a month for fibre), as it's helped me in online gaming and I'm planning on streaming aswell. Don't normally praise Sky but they did me good this time

My god totally in love with Rimworld, what an absolute cracker of a colony building game that is only going to get bigger and better. The key to it is its simplicity of the early game and then how your colonists needs evolve. Think it could well be the game I put the most hours into this year.

Vanilla is fun and has a decent amount of content but the real value in this game is the mods, there is a ridiculous amount of mods that just add layers and layers of content and recipes. One of the farming mods puts about 50 odd crops in the game and then there is a cooking mod that makes use of all them ctops. Then there is things like fallout mod which puts items in the game like nuka cola pipe pistol etc etc, hoping some one expands that mod to be able to build some kind of vault. Theres a robotics mod, a body part growing mod (selling kidneys to traders can sustain a colony ;) ) all sorts of stuff I play with about 20 odd. Someone has even put a multiplayer mod together were you can send each other resources from your colonies

its easy to forget though that this game is still an alpha, although I have only had one CTD and no real bugs, things need tweaking like heat waves etc and diplomacy needs expanding but there is so much more to come from this game. In the next update the dev has promised to introduce drugs and growing them, the black market and addiction so my dreams of being an intergalactic Pablo Escobar are finally going to come to fruition!

So day off today thought I would see 1 if it was possible to take GB as Italy in HOI4 right from the off rather than fight Europe, then two see how quick I could do it

1st try Navy got wiped the **** out so it was a case gg wp

2nd try focused on Navy doctrine and we beat the RN or they were hiding to scared to take on my capital ships, took mainland GB by april '38 and they capitulated, but when I thought about it that is not what I wanted, I wanted some Eruopean territory and the British Raj for the lovely manpower and resources I would gain. So about to reroll and try and do it with ruthless efficiency see what happens!

I'm is april '37 own the Raj and rearm and modernise the Army to eat Europe wish me luck!

Midnight tomorrow isn't it? sure that's what they told me at game, I plan on picking it up

Yeah. Depends how they have implemented the whole meeting other people system i think.

ill pick it first thing Wednesday morning for my PS4 in the middle of 10days off work so ill no doubt post my feelings in here, need something to tide me over till a Stellaris patch

Well as the new cards for Hearthstone have now officially killed off my interest in the game (I main Priest-if you read further into it you'll see why. Still salty as fk over the situation) I have tried out Elder Scrolls Legends.

Like it so far. Inherits elements of HS and MTG-but has it's own twists which have made it more appealing to me. Opponent wants to go face? They have to be ultra careful-going face actually has consequenes. Tidy amount of single player stuff too. single player Arena? **** yeah.

And contrary to what people are saying-it is NOTHING like Hearthstone and will not be the "new Hearthstone killer" (facepalm).

Being a lover of Elder Scrolls games too, the look, sounds and feel also encapsulates the Elder Scrolls for me aswell. Although it's in open beta, it feels nicely polish and there's definately enough to garner my interest. Looking forward to investing some time into it

well this should make the rest of the game interesting, also puppeted the british Raj which is now called Free India Lol, D-day france, eat rest of UK, nuke 'Murica because freedom, take on the winner of Barborossa, sounds like a plan!

I gave up playing after conquering all the major countries with ******* Belgium on Normal, and completely crushing Allies as Germany on Veteran. HoI4 is far too easy once you figure everything out, at this point the only challenge I can imagine is world conquest with Luxemburg or something.

By far the easiest Paradox game to date. Not that I'm complaining, I've got a good amount of hours out of it, but strategy game without endless replayability is seriously lacking.

What makes it worse, is that sandbox mode is far easier. You'd think it should be the other way around, it should be unpredictable therefore harder. But unpredictability in this case just means the AI just does dumb ******* **** all the time, which makes it far easier to exploit. Germans attack USSR too early, Poland makes it's own faction and it gets eaten alive, and so on and so on.

If you're playing historical scenario at least the AI follows historical decisions which were somewhat sensible. In sandbox mode early aggression breaks the game completely and everything goes apeshit.

Also, from the map I see you're invading the UK wrong. I figured out eventually that north of the island is only guarded by small fleet. So what you do is either take Denmark early in the game and then invade from that little Danish island at the top of UK. Or just launch a naval invasion from the left lower corner of France to Iceland, and then from Iceland to UK. This way you can avoid the bulk of Royal Navy, which sits in the channel. I've done it couple of times with just 3 dozen of cheap subs or so.

I invaded from Liverpool, that is what I took in the peace deal, I actually went toe to toe with the RN because I rushed capital ship doctrine held my own. It is easy especially for vets like you and me, not having to bother with supply chains makes this game a lot less harder than te last one. Next patch should solve a lot of issues and should no longer be as easy, they have confirmed the main focus is AI, if they manage to solve the AI issues with templates, stationing in weird places and managing the line with the amount of divisions the AI pumps out this game ill be a slog. I'm getting the duke nuke em achievement whilst its still possible lol! Wish I had done the same with EU4 and Ryuku WC

Yeah, I mean it's doable through the channel, just a waste of resources for all that fleet building and doctrine development. I remember it took me like 200 subs to do it through the channel, the small RN fleet guarding north of UK goes down to quarter of that. Can probably take UK with just the fleet Italy starts with by 1937, if you do Denmark first. Then once you add UK shipyards to your own you can build as big of a fleet as you want.

Took me several invasions to figure that out, I tried both paratroopers and massive fleets, it was successful but a huge strain on my industry for all that build up that ultimately wasn't needed. Going with paratroopers through the channel was probably the worst, they have thousands and thousands of planes over there.

And yeah, the AI keeps pumping out some ****** 3 battallion divisions which causes all the late game lag. They really need to fix that pronto, I usually just abandon the saves by 1943 because the lag brings my PC to it's knees.

yeah the lag is a pain but hopefully the AI fixes will stop them just pumping out divisions, I'm actually really hopefully the next patch will make the game what it was intended, hopefully if I take out UK, Germany and france out early the n lag shouldn't be too bad. until I launch on the soviets. On my laptop the lag is unbearable from '42 onwards on my desktop not too bad if I switch of some graphics but speed 5 is still like speed 3.

just started the war again my faction take the allies, because I dare take Yugoslavia, 3 front war france Uk and Yugo, with not enough troops fun times
