30.5mil for CR7 after he got stripped off the captaincy for Real Madrid and got transfer listed by request.. I must say it is the best buy ever.. Became my second top scorer in the second season and sold him to Barcelona for 60mil :p

Excluding the big names I bought, the most I spent will be on Fazio for 10mil.. LOL Fans were complaining about it but who cares.. He got the job done and was sold in the same season as CR7 to Real Madrid for 60mil again..

this ****** me off, I bought Stekelenburg in my old Everton save after like 3 seasons for 10 million (he was valued at around 3.4 million) they said it was such a waste of money etc etc, he was my top 3 players in my squad! and I had won everything! stupid fans.... :P
it goes away very quickly :D

Just signed Alexandre Pato on my save from A.C. Milan to Manchester City for £52million.

Bear in mind that this is the 2018-19 season and, therefore, he is nearing the 30-year-old mark.

It's my biggest signing technically because it's my biggest signing on my longest career in any Football Manager game - ever.

Now earns a £165,000 wage packet at the City of Manchester Stadium, with a £100million release clause in his contract, making him the 5th highest-paid player in the squad. Luka Modric, Abel Hernandez, Gonzalo Higuain and Mesut Ozil all ahead of him. Ozil earns, at the age of 30, £235,000 per week.

Highest transfer was outbound, Messi from Barcelona to Juventus, they wanted him badly so I let hthem have him for 152 Million at the age of 28 :D
