Half of them are rubbish and nobody has ever heard of them. I reckon West Ham/ Arsenal.

League 1: Charlton (Jonjo Shelvey, etc.)/ Southampton (Walcott, etc.)

Only Ireland, Richards and Onouha have really made it in the premier league though and Etuhu

true true but by youth academy i thought it meant homegrown, otherwise it would be arsenal
 
I think you'll find alot of the players mentioned have played for other clubs. People only spout off about Fabregas etc. because it is well known that he was plucked from Barca's youth team, but there are plenty examples where a big club has 'solen' lesser teams players.

but most of Arsenals foreign players that have come through the academy are 'homegrown', because they trained there for a period of time.
 
MU, Arsenal, Liverpool just 'stolen' other youth club talent ... They do have some decent player from their own academy, but most of them was 'stolen' form other club. Chelsea?? Their youth academy just ****, no one come from their academy except 'JT'.

England = West Ham
Other = I might choose Ajax.

1 You must be a scouser, you lot are the worst ive ever seen as far as having the balls to say anything good about UTD why, well its bitterness, sad but true.

2 Liverpool have produced some great players through their academy and are still as the current group of youth have some good players, Gerrard, Carragher, Murphy, Owen ECT

3 How can you say what you said above?
So you never heard of :

D Beckham, N ****, R Giggs, K Gillespie, J Greening, D Healy, G Neville, P Neville, R Savage, P Scholes, R Wallwork { all still playing }
or:

P Bardsley, W Brown, A Bruce, F Campbell, S Ebanks-Blake, J Evans, D Fletcher, D Gibson, D Higgenbottom, P Mc Shane, J O Shea, K Richardson, R Shawcross, J Spector,
G Rossi in Spain?
G Pique signed as a 15 yo.

So here are 2 questions for you Scouser:
1 How many of the above played international football
2 How many of them have premiership medals
 
@ Jason : MU stole Rossi from Parma (if i don't get wrong) and they also stole Pique from Barca ... 8-|

nope matey ... just want to fix 'bout that 2 player ... anyway MU had a decent youth before beckham generation ... but after that they just produce '****' or stole from other club ...

Why are people all stupidly voting for Arsenal and saying about all there young overseas players? they have not come through the youth system.

Manchester United and West Ham have produced far more than Arsenal, in recent years all Arsenal have really produced International wise is Ashley Cole. Don't get confused with youth products with scouting and buying young overseas players...

great quantity of players
great quality of players
great opportunites for players

im arsenal fan, but hate to say it but special mention must go to Man U, as they tick all the boxes, arsenal nick players on the sly from other clubs (yes i know man u do as well to a limit), west ham dont have the quality. special mention though as they do give alot of chances to local lads (must be something in the water)

best foriegn team Ajax, Sporting Lisbon, but the number 1 in the world has to be Barcelona, 7 of their players against R.Madrid were homegrown. Messi was there since he was 13years, look how many were voted for world/european player

Ajax have the best youth academy imho, but that's not England. Don't ken who's got the best one in England.
 
Manchester united produced one player who kicks so much *** even at the age of 36, RYAN GIGGS!!!

But in truth at the moment i would say Arsenal.
 
West Ham have produced some quality players over the years so my vote goes for them.
I know Arsenal buy foreign players and train them to play their style of football but like others have said you can't say that there academy is good as these players are not truly homegrown or english.
However they do have quite a few good english prospects coming through the ranks at the moment these include:
Kieran Gibbs
Jack Wilshere
Jay Simpson (On loan at Q.P.R)
Henri Lansbury (On loan at Watford)
Rhys Murphy (On loan at Brentford)
Mark Randall
Sanchez Watt
Craig Eastmond
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas
Gavin Hoyte
Luke Freeman
 
true arsenal have alot of good youth academy players. please also bear in mind the level arsenal play at compared (no disrespect) to west ham. im sure many players you mention would get greater chances at lesser clubs
would like to see what happens when new rules about number of home grown player in first team squad. will the level of our teams competing go down in europe , if less oversea players. personally i think would be better in the long run. also would help if FA, FIFA UEFA gave appopriate companstation to clebs who have their future stars stolen.

would anyone give extra credit to those clubs that due to having strong finance dont have to produce their own ie barcelona, man u etc . whereas west ham, ajax due to financial restrictions must go down this route
also please consider that many arsenal youth players dont make it, but do have strong careers going down a different avenue i.e bentley , sidwell
