BTW: I had made this post before the betting-suggestions came in, but still wanted to launch it as a kick-off to the season.

Manchester United, Liverpool Truce?!

The media have been scratching their heads of late as it seems once hated rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are getting along. It seems the animosity which once existed has thawed. Mason stated that he loved watching Sarnie's films as a youngster and that he would definitly share a bottle of red with the Liverpool owner.

Mason again confirmed that he saw Liverpool as the beneficery of the quartet swap deal. Stating that Liverpool have made the transfer of the season with the four way coup! Mason who is no stranger to controversy stated that he see's Liverpool as a top contender this season. He added that Ciry will slip as they have lost too many key players, Arsenal will falter as they aren't good enough for top four and that Chelsea may be in with a shout. If Saints can keep key players they may be a team to watch. Tottenham will be the biggest surprise of the campaign as they will struggle and will most likely be the first team sacking their manager.

Mason also stated that he can't wait for the season to start and that he hope Van Gaal can make some great signings.

What about us? You mention Southampton but not us? Even though we supported you??? :(

Would be fun if everyone copied my template and made their predictions!

Andre Ayew And Lass Diarra join Newcastle Revolution.

Alan Shearer was working hard behind the scenes all week to try and pull off the transfers that he promised the fans of Newcastle. And it has paid off today as he can announce that he has signed versatile midfielder Andre Ayew for a fee of around £12m and experienced holding player Lassana Diarra on a free transfer.

SSN: Alan, many people are saying that these two players were panic buys because you didn’t get the players you prioritised in the C2C window. How true is this?

AS: Panic buys? Not a chance, they are both deals that we have been looking into for a while. Andre Ayew was my top priority and has been since I took over this club. As for Lass, again we’ve been looking for a long time. He was not the first choice, but not many teams get their first choice signings. I am happy with them both.

SSN: We see that many other Chairmen are making predictions on the season, what are your opinions?

AS: Winners: Man City

Top 4: City, Chelsea, Utd, Arsenal

Relegated: Palace, Sunderland, Leicester

Biggest Surprise: Burnley

Biggest Dissapointment: Spurs

Signing of the Season: Raheem Sterling (Man City)

Flop of the Season: Bojan (Chelsea)

Top Goalscorer: Danny Ings (Southampton)

Player Of The Year: Raheem Sterling (Man City)

SSN: And Finally Alan can you tell us what Mirko will have to work with for himself?

AS: Mirko has been given the amount that we both agreed. It is enough to get a few players that he wants in the rest of the window. Other teams will likely have a larger war chest, but we are happy with this. Mirko also knows that he has to finish in the top 8 this season or the money will be withdrawn and it will be me making the transfers.

SSN: That’s everything for now Alan. Thank you for your time.
