Really unlucky mate, Probaly would of been promotion too soon, hopefully you can rebuild this coming transfer window and come back better, automatic promotion is deffo a possibility

Yea Jack i agree promotion so soon would have been to early i think, I will build a team strong enough for it this season though and my goal will be promotion, Need to make sure i bring in the right players though and dont waste my funds on fringe players of 30+.

Season Overview - Set the target to avoid relegation and ended up in the playoff final, Thats one **** of a season, We struggled alittle at times but come the end of the season we had a free scoring team and a solid defence.Next season we will be promoted to the EPL, Then its a matter of staying there.

Player Overviews:

Hilario - The former Chelsea keeper had a wonderul season for us, Kept is in alot of games and he made a wonderful captain when called upon picked up 2 MOM awards, Average rating of 6.89.

Matias Concha - The RB didnt start the season but eventually found his place in the team, Pretty solid at the back and going forward picked up 5 assists, Average rating of 6.88.

Anthony Scaramozzino - The LB had a solid season, More of a defender than a attacking player but still got himself 1 assist, Average rating of 6.94.Sadly he is leaving on a free to go back to France.

Per Kroldrup - The experienced CB had a amazing season after seeing red in his first game he bounced back, 4 goals and 3 MOM awards, Average rating of 7.04.

Martin Taylor - The CB was replaced but he played more games and did more for the team so is in my main 11, Didnt get on the score sheet but got 1 assist and 2 MOM awards, Average rating of 6.95.

Nuno Coelho - The DM went about his business very well, Defended very well and picked up 3 assists, Average rating of 6.95.

Sergio Conceicao - The experienced midfield had another great season, Scoring 13 goals, Picking up 11 assists and 2 MOM awards, Average rating of 7.18, Was named fans player of the year.

Owen Garvan - I expected alot from Garvan and going forward he let me down abit but he still had a solid season, 6 goals and 11 assists with 2 MOM awards, Average rating of 6.97.

Chiguy Lucau - This guy has impressed me over the last 2 seasons hes a beast going forward, 7 goals, 15 assists and 3 MOM awards, Average rating of 7.08.

Edgaras Cesnaukis - This player made the difference for me this season, Having replaced Harsanyi his pace helped so much, 6 goals, 16 assists and 1 MOM award.

Kelvin Etuhu - The young striker has really had a blinder of a season, 25 goals, 5 assists and 5 MOM awards, For me the star player of the team this season.Average rating of 7.00.

Other key players

Sergey Mesheryakov - The young CB only played 22 games but did really well and was a rock when we had our best run of the season, Average rating of 6.80.Will look to him to lead the backline next season.

Ablai Balde - Not the best player but scored a few important goals, 5 goals and 2 MOM awards, Average rating of 6.77.

Mark Randall - The loan man was a beast once he got a shot in the team, 24 goals, 12 goals, 4 assists, 4 MOM awards, Average rating of 7.25.Joining on a free in July having turned down Sunderland, Aston Villa and Blackburn to come to his new favorite club Bradford City.

With those funds i will be looking to bring in youth players with potential, Shelvey is top of my list, Maybe another young CB and ofcourse i need to replace Scaramozzino at LB seeing as he is leaving us.

Having been given 17.5 million i could have gone crazy and signed a whole new team but having made that mistake when my board gave me a decent budget in league 1 only to have them give me nothing the next season, I want to be in the EPL this time next season with the chance to stay up and that 17.5 million is going to help me build a strong enough to survive.I have made a few new signings this season and sold a few but have made more from sales than i have spent so i now have 20 million or so to spend.

Picking up Obertan on loan was a massive boost as Cesnauskis for some reason decided he would rather go to Swiss side Young Boys but at 5 million i wont complain, Sekour is another one i dont understand leaving but he couldnt settle in the country so he went too.Ceravolo is going to be key this season, Etuhu will move out to the right, Obertan on the left and Ceravolo through up top on his own.

Manager Player of the Month - Owen Garvan - A really hard choice this month as noone really had a stand out month but Garvan has really performed in midfield this season, Gets forward often and gets back when needed.

Overview of the Month - 7 points from a possible 12 is'nt too bad really, A win over Leeds and a draw with Wigan makes up for the loss to Bristol who are by no means a weak side.Currently 2nd in the league 2 points behind Bolton.

Lots of 1 nils this season, along as your getting wins though, that is important

1 nils are not the most entertaining of matches but its nice to see we can hang onto leads alittle better than last season, I would like to see the team score a few more goals but aslong as they dont conceed as many i'm happy.Problem with 1 nils is theres always the chance of a late goal coming for the other side and ruining it for us.

Overview of the Month - A loss to Sheffield was pretty bad, The loss to Bolton harsh but i did have to field a really weak team.4 wins and a draw though is very good and we did score a few more this month but only managed to keep 1 cleansheet.

Hilario is moving on in January to Leicester, Taylor is moving on to Notts County and Vranjes is moving on to Verona, 3 defencive players out but 2 new regens are joining, Francesco Leonardi a DRC joining for 250k from Atalanta and Luigi Cimmino a LB joining for 750k from Sampdoria, Cimmino looks likely to jump into the first team with Leonardi more as backup.

Great reaction after Sheffield game, not seeing many draws which is good as it better to either win or lose rather than draw in my opinion

Bradford City 5-3 Hull (Ceravolo(2), Costa(3) - Chikaoui, Galan(2))
A Yorkshire derby again for City and on 8 mins Ceravolo hammers home at close range to give City the lead, A lead Costa doubles on 15 mins with a wonderful curling effort from outside the box.Chikaoui pulls one back on 21 mins with a fine header but on 27 mins Costa is played in for the simplest of finishes.Second half see's Hull come out flying and on 46 a Galan cross finds its way into the City goal for 3-2.On 59 mins Galan is played down the left and he cuts inside and shoots and its all level.Ceravolo puts City back ahead on 65 mins with a delightful diving header and on 85 mins Costa scores a screamer from 20 yards to seal his hattrick.
MOM - Douglas Costa (Bradford City)

Managers Player of the Month - Douglas Costa - Fabio Ceravolo won player of the month but for me Costa was just alittle better, Netting 9 goals in 6 games, 8 in 4 in the league aswell as picking up 2 assists and 3 MOM awards, Ceravolo did grab himself 9 goals in the same ammount of games but normally it takes a player time to gel and Costa has hit the ground running thats why he gets it.

Overview of the Month - Amazing month, 4 league wins scoring a massive 19 goals, Costa and Ceravolo just dominated the games and Randall is also doing well, Sadly Ceravolo is out for 7-8 weeks now so its down to Etuhu to step up to the plate.

Bolton went into administration on the 27th on January which is why they have been deducted 10 points but they will still get promotion is my bet.

Costa is doing amazing for you, deffo worth the money, looks like Bradford city are on route to go back to the premier league

Nice story, Burton not much of a match :@ they are the most underrated team on FM, I will have to be getting my editor out to improve them.

Bristol City 1-0 Bradford City (Clarkson)
Bradford head to second in the league Bristol in what will be a very tight match, City are without Garvan for 6-8 month, Randall, Ceravolo and Etuhu for this one and Bristol really look the stronger team, Finally getting ahead on 42 mins when Clarkson powers home from just inside the box.The second half is all Bristol with Bradford just being pinned back, Without key players City just cant get out of the box and its a second loss of the month.
MOM - Eric Hassli (Bristol City)

Bradford City 2-0 Coventry (Etuhu, Damninuta)

Championship
Stoke 2-0 Bradford City (Murray, McShane)
Bradford travel to promotion challangers Stoke and on 8 mins a Murray strike puts Stoke ahead, City were caught napping. As City push Stoke look dangerous on the counter and on 36 mins the counter works when McShane flys down the right and cuts inside to slam the ball home.Second half is all City but they fail to convert a single chance, Hardly even working the Stoke keeper, Resorting to long shots that are way off target.
MOM - Dedryck Boyata (Bradford City)

Managers Player of the Month - Sergio Conceicao - Scored a hattrick including a wonder goal against QPR, Set up both goals in the win over Coventry, Etuhu also had a decent month but again he is injured.

Overview of the Month - A really bad month, Only 9 points from a possible 18 but Ceravolo will be back in 2 week or so, Etuhu is only out for a few days, Randall will be back in 6-8 days, Garvan is out for another 6-8 month which is a massive blow to us.

Indeed, a very mixed month, your still is the promotion race though and probably still top so its not all bad, I imagine a few rivals have made a bit of ground on though which could be worrying.
