Even after that poor month Jack, I'm still 9 points clear which is only a 1 point drop since last month, Bolton have been flying though as i thought and have climbed back up to 2nd, They will still push me all the way for the title, They have only lost 4 times all season, Bristol are still up there along with Stoke and Ipswich, All between 10 and 13 points behind me but with my injury hit side i could slip up a few more times in the coming month.

Bradford host promotion challangers Wigan and on 17 mins get a deserved lead through Costa, A swift counter and a give and go with Etuhu and Costa smashes it home for 1-0.Wigan push forward as City sit back for a awhile and wait for a chance to counter but on 38 mins N'Zogbia cuts in from the left and a mistake from Damninuta lets him into the box and its all level.Second half is all City but no side is getting much in the way of chances until 64 mins when a ball from Obertan is turned into the path of Costa who rilfes it home from just outside the box.Wigan again push forward but this time City manage to keep them out.
MOM - Douglas Costa (Bradford City)

Championship
Ipswich 0-1 Bradford City (Etuhu)
Another playoff chasing team host City today and Ipswich really go for it in the first half, City are kept pegged back and rarely get forward for the entire half.Second half is more of the same and when Damninuta brings down Boyd on 81 mins Daerden steps up but Richaud gets down to his right and saves, City get a massive confidence boost from that save and on 84 mins a cross from Obertan finds Etuhu in space and he powers home the header, Having looked at it Etuhu was clearly offside but we wont complain.
MOM - Ilyes Richaud (Bradford City)

MOM - Jennison Myrie-Willams (Peterborough)

Southamton 0-1 Bradford City (Ceravolo, s/o Damninuta)
Bradford head to Southamton looking for the win and on 26 mins that looks unlikely when Damninuta is given a straight red.Southamton hammer forward but Richaud is having a solid game and Boyata is having a blinder having come on to cover at the back. Its all level at the break but Southamton could score at any moment but on 57 mins its City who grab the lead, Conceicao finding Ceravolo at the near post for a simple header.Castillo comes on for Conceicao as City go defencive and while Southamton push forward the changes have worked and City take all 3 points and with it are promoted to the EPL.

Managers Player of the Month - Douglas Costa - The attacking midfielder picked up player of the month for March and rightly so, Scoring 4 goals and picking up a few assists along the way.Richaud has a great month for City playing the best he has for us all season.

Overview of the Month - 5 wins and 1 draw, A amazing month for us, With Ceravolo back and Etuhu not getting injured we look strong but the key thing this month was Lucau, Obertan and ofcourse Costa in midfield, They dominated games and always looked threatening going forward.

6 games to go but we have promotion, Still looking to take the league title though, 18 points clear at the top of the league so another point will secure the title for us, Swansea are in 2nd right now, Only 2 seasons ago City and Swansea were fighting it out for the league 1 title and now both are challanging for the championship.

Great month mate. Good to see Bradford back on track.

Costa has been a revelation since signing for you, keep up the good work mate

MOM - Theo Robinson (Huddersfield)

MOM - Gabriel Obertan (Bradford City)

Managers Player of the Month - Gabriel Obertan - Hard month to find anything good from but Obertan did the best, Always looked threatening and managed to get himself a goal.

Overview of the Month - A poor month but we won the league so i'm willing to accept it although both derby's being lost just sucks.Wins over Swansea and Portsmouth were good but other than those it was overall a bad month.

Fantastic season, you've taken the Championship apart this season, good luck in the Premier League

Season Review:
Overall a great season, Winning the league was a bonus as promotion was all i cared about, Some great performances in the side and now we look to the EPL for survival.

Ilyes Richaud: The young keeper finally broke into the first team when Hilario moved on and never looked back, Had some amazing performances in the final few months picking up 3 MOM awards, Shaktar are very interested in him but hes going nowhere, Average rating of 7.04.

Matias Concha: The RB had a decent season, Never looked like losing his spot in the side and picked up 6 assists which for a defender in my teams is alot along with 1 MOM award sadly his age is a problem so is leaving at the end of the season, Average rating of 7.04.

Luigi Cimmino: The young LB came in late but performed quite well after getting sent off in his first game, Not very attack minded and only grabbed 1 assist, Will stay on but unlikely to be a regular, Average rating of 6.92.

Sergey Mesheryakov: The young CB had a decent enough season, Did his job well at the back but failed to score did grab 1 assist though, Will be staying on but its unknown just now if he will start or not, Average rating of 6.91.

Per Kroldrup: The experience CB had a decent season, Didnt get on the score sheet but did pick up a MOM award, Again his age is too old for the EPL so he too is moving on, Average rating of 6.91.

Owen Garvan: The young midfielder had a solid season until he took that long term injury, 9 goals and 7 assists along with 2 MOM awards, Will stay on but again unsure of his position in the pecking order, Average rating of 7.19.

Mark Randall: A decent season for the midfielder, 6 goals and 5 assists along with 1 MOM award, Like Garvan unsure of his place in the team right now and could be sold, Average rating of 7.13.

Douglas Costa: The attacking midfield was just a beast since he joined, The heart of everything we did going forward, 15 goals with 8 assists and 5 MOM awards, Not going nowhere and will start next season, Average rating of 7.50.

Kelvin Etuhu: The striker playing on the right, Not a role he is best in but he scored 13 goals and got 14 assists only 1 MOM award, Staying put unless i get a serious offer for him, Average rating of 7.15.

Gabriel Obertan: The loan man from Manchester United had a solid season 13 goals and 11 assists with 7 MOM awards, Looking into signing him up long term now, Average rating of 7.22.

Fabio Ceravolo: The striker was a great signing, Played very well and did what he was there to do scoring 25 goals and getting 9 assists with 5 MOM awards, Staying put but depending on transfers may not be first choice, Average rating of 7.32.

Other players:

Cristial Damninuta: Played DM at the start then cover at CB and did very well, Prone to bookings but has a wicked freekick on him, scored 2 and picked up 7 assists, Unsure what to do with him as in the EPL i will need a DM, Average rating of 7.05.

Chiguy Lucau: Only played 11(5) but managed to get himself a goal and 6 assists, Hes a favorite player at the club so hard to let him go, Average rating of 7.04.

Sergio Conceicao: Almost forgot the experienced midfielder, He played his part and if for nothing else gets a mention for his 60 yarder against QPR, 7 goals and 4 assists with 1 MOM award, At 38 you would think its time to call it quits but he just accepted a new contract and is staying on for another year, Average rating of 7.11.

Transfer news:
No signings have been made yet but Gabriel Obertan is out of contract soon at Manchester United and i have offered him a contract along with Mame Biram Diouf who is also out of contract soon at Manchester United, No other interest in terms of players but Robert Enke has been offered a job as GK coach for us.

New season is underway and the goal is simple, Attempt to avoid relegation, 2000/1 to win the league odds on favorites to go down, Transfers funds were pretty decent for due to my lack of spending last month so i was given 25 million to spend but having made a loss of 8 million last season and being informed next seasons budget would be reduced i decided to sell players aswell as signing.

John Fleck is a 775k loan signing but can be signed at anytime for 2.3 million, Joe Mattock is a 500k loan signing but can be signed at anytime for 2.5 million, Mattock is likely to be signed in January or so depending on sales, Fleck too depending on cash but both will be signed full time come the end of the season.

Key Signings:

Nedum Onuoha:

Georgi Nikolov:

Ruben Yttergard Jennsen:

I feel with those signings i have a strong enough team, Mattock, Nikolov and Onuoha give the back line a new boost of youth and Jennsen offers alittle something in midfield, The capture of Anichebe was quite welcome still only 25 and offers good cover to Ceravolo so Etuhu does'nt need to go uptop anymore, Massacci is cover at RB and the other 2 are a backup keeper and a 16 y/o midfielder.

Preseason:
Morton 1-3 Bradford City
Ross County 0-3 Bradford City
Grimsby 0-5 Bradford City
Bradford City 3-3 Manchester United
Northampton 1-4 Bradford City
St Johnstone 0-1 Bradford City
Bradford City 4-0 GH Academy
Wycombe 1-3 Bradford City

A unbeaten preseason ofcourse we played much weaker sides but that was planned as i have new signings, Wanted them to gel alittle but also wanted wins to keep morale up as it dropped due to the transfers. The draw with Manchester United was a great result though against a full strength side.

August Results:

English Premier League
Bradford City 1-1 Blackburn (Costa - Andrews)
Bradford get a home game for the first game of the season against a side who could struggle this season in Blackburn, City press forward early on and hammer the Blackburn goal finally getting ahead on 29 mins when Costa is played in for a one on one and calmly slots it home.City control up until the break but on 51 mins are hit but a injury to Costa which hurts alot,Blackburn push forward alittle more and on 71 mins get level when Andrews flicks home a cross.City continue to press to get ahead but Robinson is playing very well and it ends 1-1.Costa will be out for 4-6 weeks which is a massive blow to City.
MOM - Douglas Costa (Bradford City)

English Premier League
Manchester City 4-1 Bradford City (Teves(2), Dos Santos, Wright-Phillips - Garvan)
Bradford head to Manchester to face big spending Manchester City who smashed Newcastle 4-1 on the opening day of the season, On 2 mins a mistake from Etuhu gives the ball to Teves who runs and fires home for 1-0.The lead us double on 15 mins when Dos Santos is found unmarked outside the box and lashes it home.Bradford hold on until the break but have been hammered the first half, Second half see's Wright-Phillips net a cross come shot which left Richaud stranded on 52 mins, Bradford grab a goal from nothing on 66 mins when Garvan is found inside the box a stabs it home, Bradford switch off and its 4-1 on 68 mins, Teves is allowed to run at the defence and his shot is too much for Richaud to keep out.
MOM - Carlos Teves (Manchester City)

English Premier League
Bradford City 3-1 Everton (Ceravolo(3) - Bikey)
Bradford are back on home soil after being thumped by Manchester City and its time to welcome Everton a tough task to say the least, City come out strong and press Everton back and get a deserved lead on 16 mins when a ball comes in from the right and finds Ceravolo for a simple tap in.City control the half and go in ahead at the break and look very good value for it, Second half starts off aweful for City when Onuoha brings down Ashton and Bikey steps up and hammers the spot kick home for 1-1 on 51 mins.City dont drop and really push forward and on 71 mins a Ceravolo smashes the ball against Downing and the rebound drops to the Italian who lashes it home for 2-1.Everton hammer forward but Richaud is not going to be beaten and on 90+1 Reid cuts inside from the left and is dragged back by Yobo, The ball is handed to Ceravolo who slams it past Howard for 3-1 sealing his hattrick.
MOM - Fabio Ceravolo (Bradford City)

League Cup 2nd Round
Carlisle 0-4 Bradford City (Ceravolo(3), Conceicao)
Bradford head down to league 2 Carlisle in what should be a straight foward win, City take the lead after 14 mins when Ceravolo converts a Conceicao corner.Carlisle push forward and for the rest of the half look to have City on the back foot but half time comes and with it City relax.Second half City just pile forward and on 65 mins a Ceravolo diving header ends any hopes for Carlisle, Just to make sure on 69 mins Conceicao smashes home a freekick from just outside the box.Ceravolo gets his second hattrick in as many games on 87 mins converting at close range.
MOM - Fabio Ceravolo (Bradford City)

Managers Player of the Month - Fabio Ceravolo - 3 goals against Everton gave us our first win, Clearly he can cut it in the EPL and is attracting interest from Newcastle, Aston Villa and Birmingham but his value is 5.5 million and hes not for sale at anything under 12 million.Georgi Nikolov picked up young player of the month for August which is abit confusing as we shipped 6 goals but thats football.

Overview of the Month - 3 games played in the EPL, 4 points, I'm not gonna complain at all, Our home form is going to be key to staying up as we dominated both Blackburn and Everton but away from home i think i need to bring Damninuta into the team as a anchor man because my defence could use some cover, Drop either Randall or Garvan depending on who is playing and just keep Jennsen in centre mid.

Good start, you must have a large bit of budget still available too you, great win over Everton

Yea Jack, Roughly 16 million still to play with because i needed to adjust it abit for more wages, I looked into signing some big names but the wages are way out of my league right now, I have to look to next season too in terms of my budget as i have been told its not going to be alot.

as far as Everton go, They must hate me, I remember on my Gateshead game i went something like 10 games without a win in the EPL then smashed them 2-5 and now here i am again handing out a whooping to the Toffees.Just hope my home form is enough to keep me up its been good so far even preseason the draw with Manchester United.

I play 4-2-3-1 at home but away from home i think i'll be switching to 4-1-1-3-1 once Damninatu is fit to play in DM again, Probably stick with that for games against the top 6 at home too and see where it gets me.I still think my main threat comes from the 3 attacking midfielders and Ceravolo though.I'm abit stumped as to what to do with Fleck once Costa is fit again though, My only real option is to drop Etuhu, Switch Obertan out onto the right, Costa on the left and Fleck through the middle but Etuhu has been a solid player since joining so its going to be a tough call, Made alittle easier though with Etuhu's injury problems.

I would thought Etuhu is a bit out of his depth in the premierleagie, maybe he can make it as a winger though

i agree Jack, Etuhu is alittle poor for the EPL but he is a decent backup to have and is much more suited to the right wing due to his training, Anichebe is a better striker than him and ofcourse Fleck can play upfront if needed.

2 new signings, Marius Razlog a 21 y/o regen WB/AMR who joined for free and Arthur Sidebe a 19 y/o regen DR who joined for 900k from RC Lens, No other outs other than loans.

September Results:

English Premier League
Sunderland 2-2 Bradford City (Ledesma, Santana - Onuoha, Ceravolo)
Bradford travel to Sunderland in what will be a very tough challange, Sunderland do all the early pressing and on 37 mins take a deserved lead through Ledesma who powers home from outside the box.City's first real attack results in a corner and its floated over for Onuoha to nod home on 41 mins, 45+2 and a mistake from Mattock hands Sunderland a spot kick that Santana steps up and converts.City press alot more second half and on 69 mins pull it level through Ceravolo, A ball over the top and hes through one on one for a simple placed shot.Sunderland hammer forward but Richaud does'nt allow anymore shots to pass him and its a massive point away for City.
MOM - Nedum Onuoha (Bradford City)

English Premier League
Bradford City 2-2 Chelsea (Ceravolo(2) - Hernanes, Flolo Flores)
Bradford host Chelsea and its a real test for the home form of City, Things start off dreadful when Hernanes is left unmark in the box and Lampard picks him out for 0-1 on 2 mins.City push forward and pull it level on 11 mins when Ceravolo again finds the net, A drilled cross from Fleck is converted and close range.Chelsea again take the lead on 35 mins when Floro Flores is found from a freekick and he calmly finishes it off.Second half is all City but Chelsea are hard to break down but on 59 mins they get level when Ceravolo is found unmarked near post for a simple header to level it up.Chelsea try and push forward but City hold strong at the back and look good on the counter but it ends level, Another big point for City.
MOM - Fabio Ceravolo (Bradford City)

English Premier League
Burnley 6-3 Bradford City (Derbyshire(2), Baysse, Damninuta OG, Fletcher, Brown - Jenssen, Ceravolo, Costa, s/o Damninatu)
Bradford travel to Burney and after only 2 mins are behind when Damninatu brings down Fletcher and Derbyshire converts the spot kick.On 33 mins its 2-0 when Baysse is found unmarked at the back post and on 45+1 its 3-0 when Damninatu puts it into his own net from a corner.Second half starts off just as poor when Fletcher hammers home from outside the box on 58 mins and its 5-0 on 70 mins when Brown is played down the left to convert at close range, On 73 mins Damninatu brings down Brown for another spot kick, He is sent off and Derbyshire makes it 6-0.City pull one back on 77 mins when Jenssen converts a Fleck corner, They pull another back on 83 mins when Ceravolo continues his run of scoring nodding home at the back post, When Costa slams home from 20 yards on 86 mins City are looking strong, They create a good 3-4 chances in the last few mins but Penny wont be beaten again, I knew there was a reason i didnt play Damninatu, Hes a total nutjob.
MOM - Scott Brown (Burnley)

League Cup 3rd Round
Chelsea 2-1 Bradford City AET (Hunt(2) - Ceravolo)
Bradford travel to Chelsea expecting to take a hammering but take a shock lead on 9 mins when Ceravolo finds the net again against Chelsea, Convert at close range a real poachers effort.Chelsea hammer forward but Richaud is having a blinder and keeps City ahead until the break. The second half continues the same way but on 84 mins Chelsea finally get the breakthrough when Hunt nets after a loose clearance from Mattock, Chelsea try and end the match but it goes to extra time.Chelsea push out in extra time and really go for it but the first half is all level, Sadly City hearts are broken on 107 mins when Hunt scores again this time a fine move from Chelsea sets him through and its converted very well.City try and rescue it but its not to be.
MOM - Aaron Hunt (Chelsea)

English Premier League
Aston Villa 2-2 Bradford City (Delfouneso(2) - Young OG, Costa)
Another massive away task for City as they head for Villa but its City who grab the lead when Ashley Young turns a Fleck shot into his own net after on 7 mins. The lead is gone on 19 mins when Delfouneso pulls it level with a cheeky lob that leaves Richaud with no chance.Delfouneso makes it 2-1 on 28 mins with a bullet from just outside the box.City push forward and on 43 mins its a Costa bullet that steals the show, All of 35 yards and it rockets past Krul in the Villa goal.Second half is very fast paced but both Krul and Richaud are playing well and neither side can get ahead, A good point for City against a strong Villa side.
MOM - Nathan Delfouneso (Aston Villa)

Managers Player of the Month - Fabio Ceravolo - Another 5 goals for Ceravolo, Proving he is more than able to play at the top level, Just wish teams would stop showing interest in him as its unsettling him, City have almost a full strength team now with no injurys of note so its looking quite good.

Overview of the month - Away draws against Sunderland and Villa were massive for us and a draw at home with Chelsea is very good, I'm not a fan of draws normally but when you're trying to avoid the drop you'll take any point you can get.The loss to Burnley was aweful and we play alot better away when i stick with my attacking formation, Damninatu is a real pain in the *** and i'm offloading him in January.

Tough month, Turf Moor is a really hard place to go, good to see you get points against some top teams though

im sure you'll record your 1st win pretty soon. well done on achieving points in those away games.

Cmh9090, The away draws were good to get and while i conceed alot of goals i am scoring alot too, At this rate though i think i will set a record for most goals conceeded in a season just like i did with Gateshead, At times i feel like smashing my PC up and just giving up when i conceed so many but atleast the matches are entertaining.

I did beat Everton though so i have recorded my first win of the season in the 3rd game of the season so i will have atleast 1 win under my belt come the end of the season, Just finished October but i'll update after i sleep and maybe Novembers results too if the month is finished by then.

dont smash your pc up cos i just did that to mine after conceding 75 in 38 matches and having the 2nd worst defensive record :P

good night mate :D

Bradford City 2-3 West Ham (Conceicao, Ceravolo - Ebanks-Blake(2), Parker)

MOM - Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (West Ham)

English Premier League
Bolton 0-4 Bradford City (Jenssen, Costa, Ceravolo(2))

MOM - Fabio Ceravolo (Bradford City)

Managers Player of the Month - Fabio Ceravolo - 4 goals again from the Italian, Hes firing them home right now and aslong as he continues and the midfielders chip in with a goal here and there we have a chance of picking up a win here and there.

Overview of the Month - Only 1 win in 3 but we are scoring goals, All we need to do is sort out our defence and we will maybe pick up a few more wins, The loss to Arsenal hurt we deserved more than that, West Ham game we took our chances but really didnt control the game at any point, Bolton were destroyed which was a nice way to end the month.

Bradford head to Liverpool who field a team with Torres, Gerrard, Kuyt, Johnson, Carragher but still look very strong, City take a shock lead on 3 mins when Jenssen powers home from just outside the box,On 23 mins its 0-2 when Costa drives home a freekick from 25 yards out leaving Reina no chance, Nikolov goes one better on 31 mins hitting a 30 yarder into the top corner and Liverpool look doomed, 45 mins and Riera pulls one back with a fine effort and on 45+2 Riera again scores with a fine headed goal and its game on.Second half see's Torres, Gerrard and Carragher introduced to the game, Last time that happened was the game with Arsenal so it didnt please me to see it, That doesnt stop City though and on 49 mins Costa makes it 2-4 with a delightful run and shot from just outside the box, 57 mins and Costa nets a well earned hattrick with a 25 yarder right into the bottom corner and on 80 mins Etuhu gets in on the action driving home from just inside the box, Torres pulls one back for Liverpool on 86 mins with a delightful lob but City take a massive win here, Flawless performance from Richaud in goal.
MOM - Ilyes Richaud (Bradford City)

first time on FM10 i have had a player get rated a 10 for a game, Richaud was outstanding in goal not even a hattrick from Costa could steal the MOM award from the young frenchman.

English Premier League
Bradford City 0-1 Newcastle (Xisco)
Bradford host Newcastle on the back of the best win of my career but the match has no action of note until Xisco puts Newcastle 0-1 ahead on 41 mins nodding home from close range. The second half is all City and the create chance after chance but just cannot get the ball in the net, Not even long shots from Costa are doing anything this time and Newcastle take the points but it was a aweful match, The first time all season we have failed to score in a game.
MOM - Tomasz Kuszczak (Newcastle)

English Premier League
Fulham 1-2 Bradford City (Kamara - Nikolov, Etuhu)
A trip to London to face Fulham is next for City, A game we have a shot at winning, Fulham are struggling alittle this season and on 8 mins Nikolov scores a 30 yarder, A amazing strike from the RB to rival the one he scored against Liverpool. The lead is gone on 20 mins when Kamara scores a point blank header and its game on, The rest of the first half is slow and City are only in this game thanks to a wonderstrike.Second half is all Fulham but Richaud again is having a blinder and on 73 mins Etuhu grabs a goal for City on the break a ball through from Costa and he just hammers it, No keeper was stopping that shot.Fulham push to get level but City have a massive 3 points here.
MOM - Georgi Nikolov (Bradford City)

Managers Player of the Month - Douglas Costa - 5 goals in 4 goals, 2 against Manchester United and 3 against Liverpool, Hands down the player of the month, Nikolov was amazing too and picked up young player of the month for the second time, 3/4 so far for young player of the month with Nikolov picking it up twice and Mesheryakov grabbing it once.

Overview of the Month - Scoring 3 against Manchester United i was pleased with, Beating Liverpool has to be the result of the season no matter what happens from now on, A bad loss to Newcastle but bounced back well against Fulham, 6 points from 12 i would have taken that coming into the month so i'm more than happy.

Amazing away results, especially against Liverpool, you seem to be coming a bit complacent at home though
