PLAYER OF MATCH – Idrissa Gueye 7.4

Still disappointed that we can’t get a win, but I will take only a 3-2 loss away at Chelsea. Nice goal by Agbonlahor to get us back into the game but it was always going to be a tough game.

Finally a win, and a good win at that against a Swansea team that were in the top 4 at the start of October. Nice goals for Jordan Veretout and Jack Grealish getting us a much-needed victory

OMG we are on a winning streak. Brilliant result here against a strong Southampton side. Bangoura with what is I believe his first goal for the club. And Veretout getting his second in consecutive games

OCTOBER REVIEW

View attachment 190053

After a poor start we have picked it up near the end of the month with very nice wins over Swansea and Southampton, both being at home. And also a very creditable loss against a very good Chelsea side.

PLAYER OF THE MONTH – Jordan Veretout

View attachment 190052

Veretout has had a very good month with 2 MOTM awards and 2 goals to go along with his stand out performances. Hopefully some more to come for him. He also came 3rd in the Player of the Month for the league.

TABLE

View attachment 190051

Moved up to 11th now in the league due to the final 2 fixtures. This is the position that I would like to be in and around by the end of the season. My expectation is the finish from 11th to 16th so hopefully we can achieve that target.

PLAYER OF MATCH – Brad Guzan 8.6

3 games in a row now that we have won, and an extra special one because it was away from home against a team above us in the table. Goals from Amavi and Larrivey giving us the win in a very good match for the boys.

PLAYER OF MATCH – Jon Gaztanaga 7.0

Expected result really against a very strong Manchester City side. We were outclassed in every aspect, with us having only 4 shots to there 24, we were never really in the game.

PLAYER OF MATCH – Jordan Veretout 8.1

Poor result really against a team that I felt that we might have been able to get at least a point from Newcastle but I guess not. We are showing our inconsistency this season with 3 losses in a row, then 3 wins in a row, and now 2 losses in a row

NOVEMBER REVIEW

View attachment 189759
half and half month really with 3 points from a possible 9. tough games against Man City and Newcastle probably were obvious as being losses, but hopefully we can improve

PLAYER OF THE MONTHJordan Veretout

View attachment 189758

Veretout has had another very good month with 2 MOTM awards to go along with his stand out performances. Hopefully some more to come for him. He seems to be the only person who is trying right now for the team.

TABLE

View attachment 189757

Doing all right in the league I feel. Currently in 12th so smack bam where I would like us to over achieve at the end of the season. We have West Brom at home next, and they have only 3 points this season, so we all know that we are going to loss.

Takeover Complete

View attachment 189755

Reports have come in that the takeover that was looming around Aston Villa Football Club has finally been completed at the 3rd time of asking. The consortium was led by Riga-Based investor Valeri Belokon who has successfully taken over from previous owner Randy Lerner.

There were reports in that it might have been possible that Thomas Lane may not have been in the job after this takeover, but it has been confirmed that Belokan is keeping him on as the manager of Aston Villa.

PLAYER OF MATCH – Jordan Ayew 9.0

Brilliant win for the lads against bottom-of-the-league West Brom, which I was fully expecting us to do. Could have been even better but Ayew missed a penalty which would have gave him his hat trick.

I don’t know why but we just can’t seem to beat Norwich, let alone get a point against them. That’s 3 games and 3 losses against a team that we really should be picking up points against.

Okay draw away at Reading but these are the games which we need to start winning. 1-0 up in the 90th minute and we concede late on is annoying but im used to it now.

DECEMBER REVIEW

View attachment 189479

Started off pretty poor but it started to even out near the end of the month with a victory over Crystal Palace and a draw against Reading. Hopefully we can improve going into the New Year

PLAYER OF THE MONTH – Jack Grealish

Grealish has had a very good month with 2 MOTM awards to go along with his stand out performances and various goals for the team. Hopefully some more to come for him. He seems to be the only person who is trying right now for the team.

Another win for the boys, coming from behind to beat a very good Burnley side, who were above us in the league at the time of us playing against them. Goals from Grealish and Larrivey give us a brilliant win.
