Great story mate. Managed bring in Rhys Murphy on a season long loan in my Kidderminster Harriers game, the guy is a machine.

You have done great job so far. I am very impressed! You gave me inspiration to start in League 1. Maybe if you have time, you coud check on my Terriers story for some tips. Keep it going, make Brentford one of the tops London club:) Good luck!

Neeson In Smoking Rap

With football fans across the nation buzzing with excitement as the British Football calendar about to begin overacvievers Brentford have come under the spotlightin a rather peculiar way. No nonsense boss Dean Neeson has come under fire due to recent pictures showing the 37 year old smoking a cigarette on a family holiday in the US.

When questioned at the press conference regarding the signing of 9.5M Czech Republic international Tomas Necid, Neeson responded furiously.

"We have signed one of the brightest talents in football, a real coupe for the club and you ask these questions. If you don't have any questions about Brentford then don't bother asking.

Go talk to Sam Allardyce, Marcello Lippi, Gianluca Vialli"

Neeson has been criticized heavily in wake of the pictures and many have questioned the example he is setting to his players and youngsters as a whole. Premier League Chairman Sir David Richards gave damning insight onto the situation.

"It is rare to see a Premier League manager setting such a poor example and put into context is nothing but detrimental to the image Football is trying to set."

It remains to be seen whether Neeson has been contacted over the issue.

Ha' plenty of men in the game smoke, I think back in the day, most footballer smoke and drank, lot less these days due to the high wages and terms in contracts, I remember when William Gallas was caught having a cheeky drag last season ;)

haha yeah berbatov is supposed to be bad. yeah back in the day most of the footballers smoked quite often but these days there are like stub it out campaigns and so on. its a shame lol.

I was going to do a story with my Newcastle team, but didn't have enough posts. Now I do and I can't start it halfway through!

ridiculous. I spoke to the guy who is fixing my laptop earlier today, he said he needed to test it which takes 48 hours. every day he's taken the **** with it. I would say it will definately be back on monday but this guy has let me down so many times I'm not sure.

Alright lads, to anyone who is still interested in this I hve been given news that my laptop will definately be back tomorrow and I will be starting up this story again :) really looking forward to being able to play and update this.

August

With the season burtsing to begin I took a lot of time to evaluate my squads qualties and weaknesses. If we can tweak to make improvements it will be done.

We have a really tightly knit group down here at Griffin Park and there is a real togetherness with the squad at the moment and if we tak that chemistry onto the pitch then I'm certain we will have a very good season.

We got things off to a very poor start here and we were extremely lacklustre. I'm very dissapointed with how poor we were, especially at home. Isaiah Osbourne rescued a point deep into stoppage time.

Again we were very poor in the first half and they deserved their 1-0 lead. Rennella equalised for us but our shocking defending let them back in again. Thankfully we put on a late show once again with
Rhys Murphy equalising with a tidy finish before Isaiah Osbourne once again popped up to give us the winner even deeper into stoppage time.

Brentford host Arsenal today in one of the three o'clock kick offs and there is one man who is more determined than most going into this game.

Murphy failed to make a single appearance for Arsenal

Murphy has gone on to net 96 goals for Brentford since his arrival at Griffin Park and is pulling no punches with his feelings towards Arsenal.

"Obviously it was hard never being able to make a game for Arsenal, obviously the manager didn't rate me enough to give me a few games and being a young boy that was difficult to handle but in some ways it only made me more determined to prove him wrong. I'd love to score at the Emirates.

We did really well last season and I didn't score enough goals. I want to change that this season, starting with Arsenal"

Brentford came close to causing an upset today down at Griffin Park. We had a few real good chances, and you need to put them away in this league especially against top quality oposition like Arsenal, the first clean sheet of the season is a good sign though.

We knew we had to win this game with Watford lingering in League 1. We started really well and
Tomas Necid towered above everyone else to put us ahead and score his first goal for the club before Rhys Murphy put us 2-0 ahead with a superb close range finish. They got one late on but failed to threaten.

9.5M man
Tomas Necid scored his first goal for Brentford today.

Must win game here and I stressed that to the players. Being at home against I side I felt we are stronger than, no points should be dropped and thankfully we turned in a good performance tonight.
Tomas Necid put us ahead off the back of his first goal midweek. They battled hard and really frustrated us before Steve Sidwell scored a screamer with 15 minutes to go. Game over.

EPL -
Hull (Away)

It's never easy coming to Hull and they didn't dissapoint. They had a lot of men behind the ball and defended very deep which made it difficult for us crack in a goal but a clean sheet and an away point is hardly something to complain about.

EPL - Aston Villa (Away)

A first half brace from
Tomas Necid set us on our way to victory. We were absolutely fantastic in the first half and moved the ball around the pitch magnificently. In the second half we took our foot off the pedal and sat back rather dissapointingly. We had to really dig in deep in the second half when they were throwing everything at us but we defended like lions and really earned the win. Fantastic.

Unbelievable game, and they say the Carling Cup is boring.
Rhys Murphy put us ahead before they equalised just before half time. I thought Anthony Vanden Borre had given us the winner with 10 minutes to go but careless defending allowed them to equalise just 2 minutes later.

The first half of extra time was very edgy and there weren't many chances before
Steve Sidwell went through in the added time of extra time to put us ahead. Roger Johnson scored a goal at each end to finish off the game.

Awful. They scored 2 goals in the opening 10 minutes and controlled it from there. Very dissapointig to finish the month in this manner.

August/September Overview

It's been a great opening couple of months for us here at Griffin Park. 3 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss in the league is a great start plus we won both our Carling Cup matches to keep our cup run alive, we can only get better. The signs are very promising and I really am excited at what this team could achieve.

The new signings are blending in well and they will become more and more integral to the team. Delighted to see
Tomas Necid get off the mark and for Rhys Murphy to get a few goals. Rhys is a big confidence player so the more goals he gets the better he plays.

Doing well in the league following a very promising start :)

Big shout out to £1.9M man
Sebastien Rudy is doing exactly what I wanted when I signed him, he is regularly looking to play the killer passes in the games and his vision is fantastic.

Brentford FC's record signing Darnel Situ has showed fans exactly why Dean Neeson spent £10.25M pounds on the French youngster. Situ has been key at the back with Matthew Kilgallon so far this season and long may it continue.
