ENGLISH PREMIER DIVISION

At the end of March, there are 6 games remaining in the Premier League and Stoke still hang on to 6th position and potential European qualification again. West Brom and Leeds are still in the top 10 although European qualification looks beyond them now. Middlesbrough should be safe, and although Blackburn are 15th, they are only 2 points safe of the relegation zone.

SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP

Nottingham Forest have fallen away and find themselves now 7 points off top spot, although still look good for a playoff spot with 7 games remaining. Aston Villa are still challenging for the title and an automatic promotion place is theirs to lose! Preston, Brentford and Norwich are all within touching distance of the playoffs, whilst Millwall and Birmingham haven't given up hope of a top 6 spot just yet! QPR and Sheffield Wednesday are the closest to the bottom 3 although a couple more wins would probably see them both safe!

View attachment 18233

SKY BET LEAGUE ONE

Wigan look almost assured of a playoff spot, although that might be considered an underachievement if they fail to finish in the top 2, which is currently 4 points adrift.

View attachment 18232

CARABAO CUP

Leeds became the first chairman club in 4 seasons to make a domestic cup final, although they were well beaten by Spurs at Wembley.

View attachment 18231

FA CUP

It's been a disappointing season for all of us in the FA Cup with nobody getting past the 5th round and only Norwich and Blackburn made it that far!

CHECKATRADE TROPHY

Congratulations to Wigan who won the trophy, beating Ipswich in the final by a pretty comfortably margin!

View attachment 18229

EUROPA LEAGUE

West Brom were knocked out in a close tie with Olympiakos in the first knockout round, whilst Stoke progressed after a 6-0 aggregate victory over Atalanta.

View attachment 18228

However, the 2nd knockout round is as far as Stoke would go as they were knocked out by Athletic Bilbao.

I am now simming to the end of the season guys and that post should be up a little later!

End of Season 4

END OF SEASON 4 UPDATE!

ENGLISH PREMIER DIVISION

Stoke continue their year on year improvement by finishing 5th this season and qualifying again for the Europa League. West Brom just missed out on the top 7 by a point, whilst Leeds also managed a top half finish. Blackburn and Middlsebrough survive relegation and none of our chairman clubs are going down!

View attachment 18225

SKY BET CHAMPIONSHIP

Aston Villa finished behind Southampton to bag an automatic promotion place and will be playing Premier League football again next season. Both Nottingham Forest and Brentford made the playoffs but were knocked out by Wolves and Cardiff in the semi finals and neither got a dream day out at Wembley!

View attachment 18224

Preston's Andrea Pinamonti finished up as top goalscorer, whilst Millwall's Aboubakar Kamara finished with highest average rating in the division.

View attachment 18223

Millwall, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest were all represented in the Team of the Year.

View attachment 18222

SKY BET LEAGUE ONE

Wigan missed out on an automatic promotion spot and failed to win the playoffs, meaning they'll stay in League One for another season!

MANAGER MOVEMENTS

Leeds - Jurgen Klopp left club to join FC Bayern - No replacement yet
QPR - Andriy Shevchenko sacked - Replaced with Joey Barton
Norwich - Xabi Alonso left club to join Real San Sebastian - Replaced with Quique Sanchez Flores
Aston Villa - Gareth Southgate left club to join Huddersfield - Replaced with John Terry

Chairmen with sacked manager, please let me know what you'd like me to do...

1) I can either reinstate your manager again for free (even if this manager has gone to another club, you will have 1st choice to keep him, even if he has gone to another chairman club)
2) You can replace them with someone else (you'll only have to pay compensation to your new manager's club if they have one, unless it's a chairman club in which case you can have them back for free).
3) Keep the manager who has taken over your club on the game for which there will be no fee as the game will have already worked out and taken any compensation from your balance (unless it's another chairman's manager and they want them back, in which case you'll have to revert to option 1 or 2 above).

If your manager was not sacked and left the club, then you cannot re-appoint him for free! You can either stick with the manager who has taken over, or you can appoint a new one of your own but if they have a club then you'll have to pay compensation!

If your manager retired, then you'll need to appoint a new one. If you take a manager from another club, you will have to pay compensation.

Game Save File Download; Chairman Save - 10th June

This download will take you up to 10th June and the transfer window is officially open! This is the file you can use for looking at your squad's season stats for your end of season posts! However, I am going to set all your manager's transfer budgets to £0 so hopefully they don't spend any of your money and then sim the game to 1st July....then I will add your EXP deals from the January window and post up a new save file to download with your budgets for the transfer window! Hopefully by this time you will have received any prize or parachute money which should then be available for you to spend!

This does not include players who may have already moved to other chairman clubs...you have to leave them alone and play nice!

New Manager At Brentford

6939145.jpg

BRENTFORD SACK 'NEARLY MAN' LENNON

Brentford chairman TheNotSoSpecialOne has lost patience with manager Neil Lennon and the Scot has left the club with immediate effect. It is rumoured that the Brentford owner paid Lennon a sum in excess of £600k to terminate his contract a year early!

Lennon was dubbed 'the nearly man' by many as he led Brentford to three finishes between 6th and 9th in his 3 years in charge at the Championship club, narrowly missing out on the playoff spots in his first two seasons in charge, before falling at the first hurdle in the playoff semi final, after sneaking a 6th placed finish last year.

It has not gone unnoticed by the Brentford owner that other Championship clubs have made it to the Premier League by forking out for high profile managers (like Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino) over the past few seasons and he has decided to make a significant appointment of his own! Luis Enrique is the man who takes over the reigns in West London, with The Bees having paid compensation to the value of nearly £2 million to Inter Milan to secure the Spaniard's services!

***** ASTON VILLA PRESS RELEASE ******

Villa welcome new manager as they continue rebuild

In what has been a glittering career in football undoubtedly today was the best day of John Terry's life as he was confirmed as manager of Aston Villa Football Club for the upcoming Premiership Season. "It is a huge honour to follow in Gareth's footsteps. He obviously was comfortable with what he was able to achieve with the squad before leaving and now it is my turn to see what I can do. I feel like I have been groomed for this day since retiring from playing and joining Dean Smith's backroom staff."

View attachment 18204

For his part, Owner Divine Starlight Bliss, was pragmatic when discussing Southgate's departure. "It was unfortunate, as we really feel we gave him a good opportunity to restart things here at Villa following the England role. he made his choice though, and will now be again managing in the Championship while we are in the Premiership. We have full faith in the John and his ability to get the job done. On top of that, we are keen to announce that investment in the facilities will continue, further improvements to the Training facility is planned, along with more investment in our Junior Coaching capabilities."

MILLWALL FC SEASON REVIEW

Millwall have shown progression this season finishing in 11th place. As they were only predicted to end the season in 20th place this must be seen as an achievement.

Senegalese striker Aboubakar Kamara was the star player for the season finishing with 21 goals. There is a cause of concern however that if Kamara was to get injured at any point where would the goals come from? The next best goal scorers are Jed Wallace and Tom Bradshaw who both bagged 7 goals. Wallace achieving that fate after not playing a game since December as he damaged his cruciate ligaments in a training sprint.

Questions are circling around Mad Mat and whether he is going to open the cheque book and improved the squad to make a serious go at getting into the premier league. When asked all that he said was "Wait and see".

Hey there mate I'll go ahead and pick Ipswich if they're still available!

Press Release

End Of Season

Another Promising season for Preston, although we didn't get to the play-offs this year. We showed we can compete towards the top end of the table once more. In what was a very tough league we managed to achieve 23 wins, which is in improvement on last season. However more defeats this year may be the reason we just missed out.

We suffered from two spells of poor form which ultimately proved costly for us. During a crucial month of December we only managed the one victory, we then only won 1 of the last 6 games to finish the season in disappointing fashion.

Player Performance
Once again, Andrea Pinamonti was hugely important for us scoring 27 goals and becoming the leagues top scorer for the 2nd season running. He also managed the highest average rating for us of 7.18. with only 2 other players achieving over 7.
Josh Harrop topped the assists charts with 13, after having an impressive season.

We have 3 new players joining on a free this summer already. Young English talent Tom Davies who has plenty of PL experience will add some top quality to the midfield. 2 more young talents in Van De Beek and Vanheusden join to bolster the team.

Transfer List
Clarke-Salter - 500k
Daniel Johnson - 2.5m
Joey Sleegers - 500k
Marcus Maddison - 300k

However I will listen to offers for all players.

Birmingham City End of Season Review

Another season ticks buy and another season of mid table mediocrity comes to an end. The club have struggled to maintain any kind of form and because of that we finished in 13th place.

I do have some hope for two different reasons. Firstly, the youngsters at the club are now coming of age and I hope to see some of them have a big season for us next season. Secondly, the club made an incredible deal with Leicester to sell Joshua Zirkzee for over £20 million. I had offered him out to other clubs for just £10 million so to see him sold in game for over double that made me glad that no one took me up on my offer.

The club is a little top heavy with 4 strikers even though the manager only plays with 1, and only 4 CM’s when the manager plays with 3 in there. We are therefore hoping to move a few people on in this window and bring a few in as well.

Transfer List

CB Dejan Lovren - £10 mil
CB Unai Garcia - £1 mil

RM Robert - £1 mil
RW Jota - £1 mil
RW Carles Perez - £2.5 mil

ST Alexander Sorloth - £1.5 mil
ST Luis Suarez - £4 mil

Stoke Season 4
Is this the summit?

League
Is it possible to do better than this? 5th is beyond anything i thought the clubs was capable but proved that the big wages for Alba & Suarez was worth it. Im still very bitter about getting virtually nothing of the Pellegri money which will lead to a change in approach on how we sign players. Another season where our budget is stuck under £30m almost £100m less than the Ronaldo led West Brom i expect to see us finish behind them next season. Not getting lost in the moment if we had ever got to 5th i would have been delighted! On the flip side its sad to see only Villa coming up from the 3 teams. Championship guys look a the folk im offering on loan. The art of C2C loans is being ignored and there is few better players on the market than i'm offering on loan.

Cup
Rubbish. Bottom of the prioritys

Europa League
We lost out to Bilbao 3-2 in the last 16 which is about where i'd expect a decent premiership team to do. It wass our first time round so again very happy to be challenging right away.

Players
Our Top 3 players Butland, Upamecano, Palacios operate as the spine of the team. I need to keep hold of them all to stay in the European spots.
Suarez only manager 9 goals but signed on for another season
Cavalli burst into the first team on the right wings as Carrasco's January addition from China became the left winger we needed for years. Clearly arrving with Mula who has done just as well in the same position.
Jeremy Laurent, Claudio Gomes, Fabio Silva are all ready to make a serious contribution to the first team next year.

Stoke Transfer List
