Sucks that you're thinking of ending it! But the last update only came out a few days ago and it is easter so people might be busy?

The update before that had loads of people doing a press conference!

What if we didn't have to do a big press conference each time and just talked about what's going on? Much easier to write a sentence or 2 taking the p*** out of a team who are struggling rather than a big formal update which can take a long time? Just an idea cos don't want this to end!

Hey guys, taking break for awhile. May end up closing the game, not sure yet.

As there doesn't seem much point continuing as people have seemed to have lost interest. The chairman game is definitely nowhere near as interactive as it used to be.

Which is a shame, thought this could have went on until FM15 came out.

Matt,

Would be a huge shame if you decided to close this game down.... I think the delays caused by FMRTE didn't help, but, the transfer window was really interactive and loads of chairman have done press conferences since.

The Easter weekend is not helping either, but i'm sure if you pushed through the November and December updates this week then we'd have a really good January transfer window next weekend.

I think i speak for ALL CHAIRMEN when i say you're doing an amazing job keeping this going, i hadn't even bought FM14 until i was recommended your game by my brother (won't name him, in case an FA commission decide to investigate some of our deals :) ).

Hopefully you've had a chance to reflect over the weekend and we'll be back on track on Tuesday.

Woo-hoo...... USA USA USA USA.

This soccer lark is simple - sack your manager and suddenly you win a hat-trick of games. That's now a club record of three straight wins (NB: records only start from when the Collective took over).

The month started well, Rafa started with Tom Ince and Juan Iturbe, and we smashed Buckingham Palace 3-1. The only bad news to report to the boys and girls was Kostas Mitroglou behaved very badly indeed and was dismissed. He was sent to the naughty step to think about his actions.....

In our second game Rafa dropped Tom Ince to the bench, but, like the great team player that he is, Bryan Ruiz injured himself and Tom came on after just 1 minute and ended up scoring our third goal.... Discipline was again an issue as Craig Dawson this time saw red.... Carlos the Handyman has had to extend the naughty step....

Finally the third game of the month saw us travel to Whales to play the Reds of Cardiff.... A five goal thriller ensued and Matej Vydra calmly slotted home a penalty shot with 8 minutes of normal time remaining to win it. No players were sent off this time but Lucas Evangelista hurt his wrist (!!!!!) and will now be out for a month (boo hiss).

Oscar The Grouch Moans.......

....... actually i don't have anything to moan about. Come back next month.

Bert and Ernie's Player Review

Player of the month was again Sam Byram. Most improved player - Alexander Buttner. Most surprising performance was Scottie Parker's against Cardiff, who knew he could still score goals....

We're glad Rafa is starting to play Iturbe, Ince and Ruiz.... We're going to need to invest in a new central midfielder in January, as well as another striker... So we're going to have to get scouting again :)

Watching the football this weekend had me thinking about this game again, couldn't just walk away, so now I am raring to go!

So f*ck it, lets keep going!
I am enjoying doing this game too much to stop.

It only takes around an hour to sim the game, capture screenshots and post the update. So all I ask is if I can spare an hour to do the update then surely you guys can spare 10 minutes to write a 'press conference' :)

You may think I'm pushing for this but that isn't the case...You guys get your fun from seeing the update...I get my fun from reading everyones 'press conferences' where people are slagging off other managers, having a laugh, throwing in a few curve balls and such.

So try and be more interactive, as there are a good few chairmen in this game that only become interactive when the 'transfer window' arrives.....you cant be a bit part player :p

Oh and Delamere...I am on to you!! ;)

Update @ 9pm

BREAKING NEWS!! ARSENE WENGER HAS BEEN SOLD....FOR 69 QUID!!!

Tension has been high at The Emirates for a long time between the chairman and Wenger. You may recall that Arnie sold Arsene to Swansea for a couple of million and then the board went behind his back and re signed him.

Last year the re-hiring of Arsene did them a favour and got them back into the champions league spots they had been looking for, but with results getting gradually worse the Austrian actor has had enough.

Rumours suggest that he was on his way to sack Mr Wenger until he ran into an old friend who also owns a team in the Prem.

The pair both complained about their managers and it looks like Arsenal have agreed compensation of 69 quid! The compensation fee looks to be a trivial thing and more for comedic value (hehe 69....giggity!!)

No news as to who this mystery chairmen is who has snapped up the experienced Frenchman and the media are going wild to find out, but I'm sure the club will announce that shortly!

Mr Schwarzenegger has wasted little time and hired Dmitry Cheryshev as his new manager!

Cheryshev is a former Russian international who recently has been training the Zenit youth team! The former Russian striker used to manage the Real Madrid youth team and helping them to a few titles and also managed FC Volga and managed to keep their top flight status against all odds!

A very attack minded young manager could be just what Arsenal need to take them up the table again!

Awwww not a good season, loads of injuries as well... Come on Everton!!

Breaking News..Hull City announce managerial change!!

Hull City today have said goodbye to Argentinian Manager Pochettino! We would lke to wish him all the best and Hull City would like to put on record our thanks for all his efforts and I'm sure he will find a new club sooner rather than later!

Before the fans worry, we have already secured the services of a legendary manager in Arsene Wenger!! Arsenal wanted rid of him for some reason...all we could hear down the phone was Schwarzenegger screaming "Arsene will NOT be back!!"

View attachment 392195

We admit, we were willing to open the cheque book for his services but all Schwarzenegger wanted was 69 quid :S We just we just pinged across 69 quid through paypal and that as they say, was that!

We are very happy and thankful to Arsenal for the chance to bring Arsene here and hope that he can bring out the most in some of the younger talents, including a young French talent hervin ongenda, among others. Unfortunately Pochettino had anag for not giving the younger players a chance along with leaving Shane long and Jelavic out in the cold only added to the reasons for his dismissal. Not to mention the league position.

If Arsene can make the sort of impact he did with Swansea then we will be laughing all the way to a top 10 finish!

Hopefully we can push on now and climb up the table!

Will do my conferences tomorrow. I'll admit I haven't checked the thread for about a week until tonight.

Don't you dare stop it you little ******* Matt! Not while I'm sitting ******* 12th anyway!!

Another solid month for Cardiff
View attachment 392157
Cardiff city beat Notts Forest and Blackburn in a solid month, following three losses in a row. However december looks decidedly trickier with games against Everton, Tottenham, Man Utd, Chelsea, Swansea, West Brom and Norwich. It is hoped we can pick up at least three wins and a couple of draws but we'l see come the end of the month.

It is looking to be a quiet transfer window for Cardiff as all player are performing well and there aren't many positions that require filling. That being said, if any bargains materialise or players are sold they may have a dabble.

Njmclare is surprised by the fate of the bottom five clubs, as all of their squads are quite strong. He would have expected to see, in no particular order, notts forest, watford, blackburn, west ham and palace at the bottom but hey thats football. He is also happy to see arsenal and liverpool so far down the table as it brings great pleasure.

On a final note, Njmclare is happy that Ottmar Hitzfeld turned down the chance to manage Cardiff when they were looking to replace Solskjaer, as Swansea are currently languishing in 19th position. Apparently Cardiff weren't a good enough team for him and he turned down their approaches. Admittedly Cardiff were in 20th position at the time, around 10pts from safety in december 2013, however it is clear now that Ottmars short-sightedness is Cardiffs gain, and their rivals' Swansea's pain.

hey guys, just wanted to say that I may be inactive over the next week cause I've got exams, ending on the 30th. Hopefully I'll be able to do one press conference between then but generally I'll be very busy, and yeah didn't want to get kicked because of inactivity. Hope you guys don't mind

a mixed month here at the city ground as Nottingham Forrest pick up 6 points from a possible 12 but 2-0 win against Fulham was overshadowed buy a 4-2 defeat to crystal palace but the Forrest chairman was overall pleased with the month over the moon with his teams performance this season.

Sorry about the delay in my press conference, spent last week on holiday at the family farm - slowest broadband possible!

NORWICH DELIGHTED COME DECEMBER
View attachment 391821
Norwich city chairman, Alan Partridge and managing director Viktor Brezhnev have both lauded on manager Malkay Mackay with the canaries currently 7th in the table a third of the way through the season. However, both men also warned to be cautious with the East Anglian side yet to play many of the league's top teams. Brezhnev said he was pleased with how Mackay had done since replacing Marco van Basten in the summer.
