If you can't see the difference between God and Santa and then valid scientific theories, there's something up. There's reason for those theories to exist, due to strong evidence and Mathematical proofs. There's no evidence and no logical thought behind religion. No one just sat around and thought, hmm "Big Bang, that's why our universe exists" it was thought out over a long period of time by numerous scientists. There is no evidence, no reason for the existence of my belief in Santa or God. Yet, you cannot deny I would be called insane if I genuinely believed in Santa.

I don't believe, and very few atheists will currently believe in an absolute theory of why our universe exists, because there isn't enough evidence to prove or deny any theory of everything. Religion, you're taking something, without rational thought, logical ideas or any evidence, and believing it as fact.

Look mate I understand your atheist you will deny gods exist etc etc. You will always argue that your point is right and you will always dismiss any evidence for the god exists. but lets say another theory came out in 30 yrs explaning how the universe began there will be always be questions against it. nobody is right and nobody is wrong.

Wow, just wow.

I have seen these kind of debates on forums before, and it has ended in pure Anarchy. Most of these ports have been Adult like, and discussed like adults. Fantastic, Most people here aren't narrow minded....must admit, haven't read it all though :)

I think its clear that we have many different types of believers and Non Believers.....But what about the after life?

Death is the next great adventure, and I'd like to keep it that way.

I can't answer that for him. All i know is, I dont dismiss Science and it clearly has some sort of function as millions of people believe in it, but Millions of people Believe in religion as well, Yet it is accepted to dismiss religion? That Puzzles me.

What the **** do you mean 'millions of people believe in science'. Science isnt like the easter rabbit! Are you telling me atoms dont exist? That there are no such thing as metals, no such thing as DNA? Your made up of cells you fool, although it might be fair to say that your brain is missing quite a few of these! Moron!

Scientific theories are just that theories as i said i don't doubt all of them or Dismiss any of them, But such things as the Big Bang is a theory..? Is it not Chrissy..? As Science beleives it to be true, but it can not be 100% sure...? So yes Millions of people believe in that, hence believing in science.

Science is knowledge though. Science is based on facts and how we perceive the real world to be, unaffected by magic and superstition. If we hadn't questioned religion, the world would never have gone anywhere. Science can be questioned, and we're not always right (especially first time a theory is suggested), but we observe what happens and back up our theory with facts.

Still a thoery though...? You don't know if the Big Bang ever happened. Or what caused it. I was simply responding to Chrissy... In Why people beileve in science and how they can believe in it.

The Theory of Gravity is only a theory, but we're pretty **** sure gravity exists. A scientific theory is the ruling explanation of how things work.

Still a theory, whether me, you or anyone agrees with it, That how i was saying people believe in science, i wasnt using it for a point of arguement, :S

Believing in science is like observing the sky's blue though. Unlike religion, scientific theories can survive scrutiny, whereas magic cannot.

you looking for an arguement, if you are, Your looking in the right place, I was simply responding to my Friend Chris. Again we are going round in Circles. and i know i have better things to do, Not to sure if you do, but Meh. So i not engaging in the same argument for the 4th time. I will have my Beliefs and you can have yours.

Of course you can have your beliefs. You're contesting a scientific theory because you don't understand physics, and thus turn to magic instead.

Warning: Gravity is “Only a Theory
http://www.bringyou.to/apologetics/p67.htm

Just found internet I was about to say surely gravity isnt a theory anymore

propaganda said:
Finally, the mere name “Universal Theory of Gravity” or “Theory of Universal Gravity” (the secularists like to use confusing language) has a distinctly socialist ring to it.

Your site is an absolute horrific piece of propaganda from the American religious right. And it's so blatantly wrong in some places, e.g.

utter garbage said:
Gravity totally fails to explain why Saturn has rings and Jupiter does not.

Jupiter has 4 rings.

Didnt read it just thought everyone accepts gravity and what it does so i thought it still wouldnt be called a theory

The only gods I believe in are Arsene Wenger and the ***** God. Other than that I'm agnostic.

People accept gravity because if you drop something, it falls. It's an observable, testable event. Many people accept God because other people do. It's very different. And for ****'s sake, don't link rubbish, especially when you have no understanding of the matter at hand.
