Thanks for all the messages. I've brought in around 7 players so far, majority on free's. Don't have that much in terms of transfer money. Chelsea sold Bamford for £1m to some club, they just kept blocking my bids. So whether it was a glitch or not I'm not sure.

I need to offload the odd player but nothing yet. I'm still in pre season so will update my thread soon.

On the 8th May 2015, Middlesbrough Football Club are very happy to announce the signing of centre back Tom Thorpe from Manchester Utd for £94,000.

The 22 year old was on loan at Bristol City this past season and won 2014/2015 Sky Bet League 1 Player of the Year. He'll arrive with us on the 1st July 2015. He's signed a £12,250 p/w, 3 year deal.

On 29 May 2015, Middlesbrough Football Club are pleased to announce another signing. This time 23 year old Spanish goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco, from Real Madrid Castilla of the Spanish Second Division B2. He arrives on a Free Transfer after agreeing on a £25,000 p/w 3 year deal.

He'll arrive on 1 July 2015. He's an amazing player who'll fit in at number 1 from the start.

On the 9th June 2015, full back Rodrigo Alborno joins the club following his £238,000 transfer from Inter Milan.

On the 13th June 2015, Middlesbrough Football Club announce that right back Matt Lowton has signed a £20,000, 3 year deal to join us, after we agreed a £750,000 transfer fee with Aston Villa.

On 19th June 2015, attacking full back Emilio Nsue signed a 3 year contract extension with Middlesbrough Football Club worth £13,500 p/w.

On the 22nd June 2015, centre back Jonathan Woodgate decided to retire from professional football. Woodgate played 313 games and scored 7 goals for various clubs throughout his career. Unfortunately he was marred by injury throughout most of his playing career.

Middlesbrough Football Club's 2014/2015 Player of the Year is midfielder Adam Forshaw.

On 30th June 2015, winger Mustapha Carayol left Middlesbrough Football Club after his contract had expired. We wish him well in his search for a new club.

Middlesbrough Football Club are pleased to announce that our 5 new players have just joined the club.

Our Premiership odds have been placed at 500-1. We will be lucky to remain in the Premiership the bookies believe.

On the 19th July 2015, Middlesbrough Football Club welcome back striker Santi Mina on a season long loan with a future fee of £5.72m attached with it. Santi Mina is only 19 years old and impressed us last season with 9 goals in 29 games (19 of those games, coming on as a substitute).
------------------------------------------------------------------

On the 25th July 2015, Middlesbrough Football Club sign Newcastle Utd's 22 year old Algerian midfielder Mehdi Abeid for £550,000.

Abeid could be a first team player as he has an excellent skill set. He signs a £14,500 p/w 3 year deal.

----------------------------------------------------------------

On the 5th August 2015, Middlesbrough Football Club sign Real Madrid's 20 year old Spanish striker Raul De Tomas for £500,000. He signs a 3 year deal worth £6,500 p/w.

This player is going to be an amazing acquisition for Boro. I can't believe we signed him so cheap.

I was given the board's season expectations for our forthcoming campaign.

August 2015 Fixtures

16th - Sunderland (Home)
22nd - Chelsea (Away)
25th - Peterborough Utd (Capital One Cup Round 2) (Home)
29th - West Bromwich Albion (Home)

Of the 3 Premier League games, I'd be more than happy with 3 points. Hopefully they come against arch rivals Sunderland.

We're all refreshed after our holidays. Me, it was a trip to Florida with the family. Never been to America, so it was a must.

We've had a great pre-season, so now our opening day of the season kicks off against our hated rivals Sunderland. It doesn't get much bigger than this for an opening day fixture. It's an early kick off live on TV, so the police will be happy with that, as they'll hope to not see so much crowd trouble that time of day. We're expecting a sell out capacity.

Middlesbrough 2 - 0 Sunderland

What an awesome Boro performance this was. We now play 4-4-2, instead of the 4-3-1-2 we used last season in the Championship.

Cristian Benavente got our first goal and his debut goal early in the game. Then after 48 minutes, new signing Sergio Alvarez was given a straight red card. We changed things around and brought on new striker Raul De Tomas. Benavente then went off injured on 80 minutes and we couldn't replace him since we'd used all our substitutes, so had to play the remainder with 9 men.

Then in the 91st minute, Raul De Tomas curls in our winner and his debut goal. The referee blows for full time and the Riverside goes crazy with cheers for the team.

Cristian Benavente has injured his knee cap following a late tackle by a Sunderland player. He'll be out for 4 weeks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Chelsea 3 - 0 Middlesbrough

We were totally outclassed by Chelsea from start to finish. Diego Costa getting a hat-trick for the hosts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Capital One Cup Round 2

Middlesbrough 1 - 0 Peterborough Utd

A reasonable win for Boro who fielded a weaker starting eleven, than which is used in the Premier League.

Raul De Tomas getting a goal in the second half.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Middlesbrough 2 - 0 West Bromwich Albion

Kike got our first goal with an excellent volley following a cross. Right back Matt Lowton won us the game after blocking a West Brom defender's goal line clearance which hit Lowton's boot and crossed the line.

Centre back Tom Thorpe disappointed with a sending off after 69 minutes following his second booking. Thorpe is now banned for 1 game.

After 3 games we sit 4th in the Premier League with 6 points

I'd hoped for 3 points this month, but I'm ecstatic as we got 6 points, and a win over the Mackems.

September 2015 Fixtures

12th - Leicester City (Away)
19th - Burnley (Away)
23rd - Tottenham Hotspur (Capital One Cup Round 3) (Away)
26th - Watford (Home)

All 3 Premier League teams this month are so far at the bottom, so I'd be more than happy to get 6 points from those.

Leicester City 0 - 2 Middlesbrough

A brilliant early opener by Erwin Hoffer, by heading the ball past the defender then striking it to the bottom corner. Santi Mina then won it for us in injury time with a leaping header from an Adam Forshaw cross.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Burnley 1 - 2 Middlesbrough

Cristian Benavente came back from injury to score a great left footed curling shot, low past the keeper. Kike got our second, scoring a volley from a Matt Lowton cross.

Ashley Barnes got Burnley a late goal, but thankfully we managed to hold on for another priceless victory.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Capital One Cup Round 3

Tottenham Hotspur 2 - 0 Middlesbrough

We were beaten today by a well organised Spurs team. That's us now out of the cup.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Middlesbrough 1 - 0 Watford

Cristian Benavente scores again. Daniel Ayala heads the ball down to him from a corner.

Another great win for us. It's games like this that we need to take advantage of since the tougher teams are going to make it difficult for us to collect points.

After 6 games we sit 3rd in the Premier League with 15 points. Level on points with Chelsea and Tottenham.

I'd hoped for 6 points this month, but we were magnificent and got a maximum of 9 points.

What an amazing start back in the Premiership for Boro! good luck for rest of the season and some great signings as well!
