England Warm Up Perfectly​

England looked fantastic today smashing Ghana 4-0. The first half was a battle until Muntari got sent off in the 21st minute. After that England looked completely in control with 2 goals from Gerrard ( 42, 45) a goal from Cole (53) and to round it off Defoe scored in the 76th minute. Defoe again coming off the bench to score reigniting the Rooney/Defoe starting place. But overall England were brilliant today. The only problem however was the injury to Hargreaves ruling him out for around 2 weeks and 1-2 group matches.​

England Vs Chile News

Ahead of Englands opening world cup game against Chile there havent been any more injuries, Hargreaves is out, but thats it. These are how the teams look like lining up.

England Start With A Win

England looked good tonight but looked a bit weak in front of goal beating Chile 1-0. The goal came from Gerrard in the 24th minute. England cruised to the win but without scaring the Chile goal again.

England Vs Saudi Arabia

Before the second group stage match, England look to have no new injuries. Hargreaves can play but is low on fitness therefore Carrick is expected to start again. Apart from that the team looks to be unchanged.

England Give Great Attacking Performance

Despite looking a bit shaky defensively if they keep giving attacking displays like this it wont matter. England beat Saudi Arabia 5-1. Rooney gave England the win just 3 minutes in to the game. This was quickly cancelled out by Al-Qadi in the 6th minute. England had to wait until the 60 minute for there next goal when Lampard blasted in a free-kick. Ferdinand then got on the end of a free kick on the 79 minute. Lampard got his second goal in the 89 minute, he had a fantastic game. Defoe rounded off a great England perforance in the 2nd minute of injury time with a 1 on 1 with the keeper.

England Vs Croatia News

England have a full squad to choose from ahead of there final Group Game against Croatia. They have not qualified yet but are top of the group going in to the last game. Hargreaves may start, also a main change is that Foster has lost his number 1 spot after a poor performance against Saudi Arabia, Green is set to replace him, England expects.

England Vs Slovakia News​

Ahead of Englands game with Slovakia, they've been forced to make one change. Ledley King comes in for the suspended Rio Ferdinand. Apart from this England look in good shape to challenge for a place in the World Cup quarter final.​

Slovakia Take England To Shootout

Todays game was strange for a few reasons, 1: Slovakia made England work way harder than they should of had to , fair play to them and 2: England won a Shootout! After a 2:2 120 minutes it went to penalties. Wayne Rooney (37) and Carrick (65) put England 2 up. Before Slovakia pulled 2 back in 3 minutes.The first was scored by Suchy ( 69) then 3 minutes later Hamsik scored a penalty (72) People wonder about the sudden defensive frailties, but Ferdinand is back for the next game. In the shootout it went.

Despite the win England looked unconvincing , They've drawn Germany in the quarter finals and if they play like that they will almost certantly be out.

Ahead of Englands quarter final Cummings has a full squad to pick from for their match against hated rivals Germany. The main news is that Ferdinand is back in the side and England will need to improve defensively.

2 World Wars , 1 World Cup And 1 Quarter Final

England today booked their place in the semi Finals of the World Cup with a 2-1 win against Germany. England started brilliantly with Rooney scoring just 29 seconds in to the match. England played well but conceded in the 67 minute from the head of Maul. The match went to extra time and in the 103rd minute Joe Cole's shot rebounded off the crossbar into the feet of Lampard who drove it in to the bottom of the net. This was Englands best performance of the World Cup so far.

England draw Paraguay in the Semi Final, who may seem like pushovers but just beat Holland comfotably 2-0 to book their place here.
