England Vs Bulgaria News

Ahead of the first qualifying match for the european championships the only news is that Ashley Cole has been ruled out for 8 days with a damaged elbow. Baines is expected to replace him.

Youngsters run the show as England dominate Bulgaria

England performed fantasticly tonight beating Bulgaria by 3 goals to 1. They started brightly when Joe Cole slotted the ball in to the corner of the net in the 9th minute. Half an hour later Richards scored a good header to put them 2 ahead. Then the only downpoint in the match when Bulgaria scored well to easily through Stylian Petrov. Thats how it stayed until the last minute when debutant Jack Wilshere scored a great goal from the edge of the area in the 93rd minute. Cummings said " The youngsters performed admirally , especially Wilshere playing brilliantly and scoring a good goal on his debut."

England Vs Turkey News

After the good performance against Bulgaria the only changes expected to happen are Defoe on for the off form Rooney and A.Cole in for Baines as he's recovered from his injury.

England 0 - 0 Turkey

In one of the most boring games ive seen in my life England and Turkey drew 0-0. This perhaps showed how much England missed players like Gerrard and not starting Rooney.

Cummings Picks Squads for Games against Bosnia and Herzegovina And Norway

Cummings has picked his squad for must win and should win games against Bosnia and Norway. Gerrard is back in the squad after recovering from injury and also Shawcross is in the side, another younger player Cummings is bringing in.

Rooney sees off challenge of Bosnia

In another less than impressive performance from England, Wayne Rooney was Englands saviour with 2 second half goals. The first was a wonderstrike in the 56th minute from around 30 yards. The second was an amazing 60 yard pass from Ashley Cole, which came to Rooney, who then rounded the keeper to score. With these bad performances, rumours are going round of a change in tactic from Cummings and his team.

Cummings again has a full squad to pick from for this game and has suprised many by changing his tactic from his World Cup winning one. The new tactic allows both Defoe and Rooney a chance up-front together but a potential problem is the lack of players in the middle of the park and defending, theres only one way to find out ! ​

England Dissapoint Again

England 1 - 1 Norway

England were the better team but failed to make their chances count and were unlucky to concede late. Barry gave England the dream start on 7 minutes when Barry cooly slotted home a penalty. England hit the post twice and wasted chance after chance until the 89 minute when a corner ended in a goal from Reginiussen.

Qualification :( But we've only got to playa teams like San Marino for a while, and if we dont beat them we dont deserve to qualify.

Finally an England Performance , Even If Its Against San Marino​

England 4 - 0 San Marino​

England finally put in an attacking performance tonight with a 4-0 win over San Marino. England started well and on 12 minutes a Lampard free kick found Ferdinand who put the ball away neatly with the side of his foot. Joe Cole scored on 17 minutes with a calm finish. Jermaine Defoe got on the end of a Joe Cole cross to tap home. Peter Crouch then scored on 55 minutes with a blasted shot from the edge of the area, this was the first time he had played under Cummings and with his good performance could turn in to a England regular. Overall a good performance from England and hopefully they can do this against better teams. ​

 
The lack of Steven Gerrard is deeply disturbing.
