Can't seem to get Messi playing as deep with your tactic Jimmy for some reason!
Change his runs from deep to "rarely". You could try him placed as an AMC, which I've done before, but I need him to be our first line of defence. I can't get us to pressure our opponents as vigorously when I have him as an AMC, opponents get easy possession in there own half.

Have you had any luck with what I mentioned before? Trying to get Messi playing more to the right without interfeering with the perfect positions on the radar you've got Alves/Pedro playing in, and trying to get Neymar to drift in more central

I've tried it all before, but without a base tactic to really experiment with. Now I've established this tactic as consistent, I'll attempt to really try to replicate Messi's position more. But as I say, pressing your opponent high up the pitch & regaining possession as quickly as possible when you lose it is important to my tactic. I've never been able to replicate Messi's role while being able to do that as aggressively as I want my team to.

Yeah I've noticed the same as well, I've got the pressing correct but every time I get the pressing working, either the CCC's or the player positions go wrong! Hard to find a balance

I've created the perfect tiki taka tactic.

Still needs a little bit of tweaking.

Expect it to be uploaded in a few days.

Finally getting somewhere with the positioning I think....I've had this sort of shape for the past 2 games now, I've been using your tactic Jimmy. I'll put the changes I've made:

- Alves up 2 notches until he has an attacking mentality
- Neymar pushes all the way up the left wing to a striker level
- Messi dropped to AMCR with very attacking mentality and runs from deep on often
- I also changed the passing to mixed to try to include Neymar a bit more, and because with Messi deeper it was getting a bit congested

Here's the Barca pic from Levante the other week you posted and my positions so far, getting better but not perfect!

Really annoying me that I can't get Neymar to come more central though! If he was more central, he would link up perfectly with Iniesta because at the moment he is far too isolated to do anything really. The only goals or shots he has are through balls on counter attacks or where he dribbles in from the left and ends up in the box somewhere, very frustrating....so if anyone has any ideas please throw them my way cos i think its impossible at the moment!

Use DLF Attack for messi role
Close down max, 4 team & Players all af them and the team
Put messi as playmaker
Then put his mentallity to the middle of the bar
and then his creative freedom to the middle of the bar
train to play simple passes
then u will get a high focal point to ur attack without long balls
the player himselfs own prefered moves will then do the damage
this is my ideas i put to all my tactics

you gonna bring the LB more forward as well?

If you want to have the left-back to be further forward, just edit it to make him "Run From Deep" a lot more, or even move his position up once. I do sometimes, usually if the opponent plays with just 1 striker & when there wide players are playing almost like 2 extra fullbacks. As I've said before, sometimes I need to change things midway through a game to make the tactic work for a specific game.
This is the average positioning if I do that with the left-back -

Probably, as Jimmy said it depends on who you are playing, that game for example their right winger was having the game of his life so I left the LB playing deep like that :)

Is this an updated tactic btw Jimmy? If it is I'd be intrigued as to the changes, I've been making changes to mine based on some of yours :P

It's not really an updated tactic. I always start with the base tactic & change accordingly during a game if something isn't quite working.

My new tactic..I tried to replicate busquets role that goes deep behind the two CD's and I couldn't get the finest result so I just put him as a CD with a stopper role and a very attacking mentality and his role is such as a midfielder with the run from deep often. and with this role he lets the two WB's go up..when you put him as a DM the WB's for some reason just don't go up so much..so when they got covering "CB" they go up a lot more and help the attackers..as you see i replicated the neymar and messi and sanchez positioning on the pitch..what do you think??
