Is there someone out there who can let a 4-5-1 work? Please explain!

I'm Arsenal and I've bought Afellay (8mil), Javi Martinez (23mil), Azpilicueta (14 mil) and Cissokho (13 mil). Sold Rosicky, Almunia, Santos and some other deadwood.

I tried uploading videos from the game and its even faster than last year, here are two videos with two great goals.

I wasn't sure where to post this but anyway, while the game was played in FM 2011 I could minimize the game go to desktop, do some other stuff, maybe listen to music sometimes WHILE THE GAME GOES ON[AND EVEN MAYBE FINISHES]. In Fm 2012 DEMO, while playing the game if I MINIMIZE THE GAME DOESN'T GO ON, IT STAYS IN THE SAME MINUTE UNTIL I BROUGHT IT BACK. Can this be fixes somehow, so that even if minimized the game continues..? Regards..!

surely the whole point in playing football manager is to manage your team and watch the games :0 ?????
have you looked in game preferences and checked its not an option?

I can confirm the game engine still runs when you're in other applications if you run FM windowed. Try it.

I'm not sure if this has already been posted, as I haven't read all 25 pages, but if you copy your 'Graphics' folder from FM2011, into your FM2012 Demo 'Sports Interactive' folder, all/the majority of stuff should work fine. I've not got playerfaces & logos.

True. It's been like this since FM10, you can surf and play at the same time.

if it is in the preference can someone tell me where?

i tend to multi-task when fm-ing, so when i do want to pause, i pause. i like having the option to do either one

If you on about playing in windowed mode then the screenshot below will show you how to put it in windowed mode in preferences.

My first thoughts on FM12 are quite positive. I think the game play is a lot better and more realistic. The players seem to react a lot better to my commands as well. I've always struggled with defensive/midfielders. They always seemed to go where ever they want, but now they are doing exactly what I want of them. The same can be said for most of the positions. My fullbacks are doing very well closing down wingers and winning the ball, and very rarely getting caught out of position. It almost feels like FM12 is easier. I also think the refereeing is a lot better, mainly in the bookings department. Some of the refs still seems to be very similar to the refs in FM11, but I've noticed a few refs being a lot less eager to reach for a yellow card. I played one game and the ref let the same player make 3 or 4 fouls before booking him. A lot more realistic!

On the negative side, I'm really not liking the team talks. I was all for having more options on what to say to my team or certain players and it seemed SI had provided that, but it's actually worse. It's very rarely after a game I can get across what I want to say. I like the way you can see the players reactions to what you say, but it's very rare I get the reaction I want from them. For example, if I beat a team we should be stuffing only 1-0, but still actually played well but were unlucky not to win by more, there is no longer an option to say well done, you have to say I am very pleased and there reaction is "Thrilled", which is not how I want them to feel. So it seems like it's quite easy to get their morale up, but not realistic. Basically we need more options on what we can say to our players. I also think the new layout it a bit annoying in places, mainly when setting your team up before a game. It seems you have to keep jumping from page to page when changing individual players settings, when before it was all on the same screen. I also don't like the Opposition Instructions page where you have to keep selecting and de-selecting players.

But on the whole I am enjoying it and am looking forward to the full version coming out.

Anyone else finding that having FM12 opened (in windowed mode for me, but may be a general problem - or nothing at all) tends to dramatically slow down and/or **** up your computer?

I've got Windows 7, on a new laptop which has had 0 problems until yesterday when every time I loaded up FM12 with other windows running at the same time, my computer either crashed completely or slowed right down.

Does anyone know why the match pauses if I alt+tab out? It's not done this in previous FM's, and is there any way to make the match carry on playing?

I'm running Windows 7 (64bit) with FM2012 windowed and several other programs running on my side monitors and there are no ill effects.

Run the game windowed.

I started my Villa game again and had some great success.
Got in the same backroom staff as before, made some slight tweaks to my tactic and signed Giovanni Dos Santos and Pablo Garcia, both of whom have been fantastic so far.
I won by first game at home to Newcastle 2-1, won away at Bolton 2-0 second game and had a strong 4-1 win against Wigan at home too, mixed in with a 3-0 beating of Barnet with my second string in the cup.
During the early September international games though, I lost Richard Dunne for 3 months and Dos Santos for 3 weeks, then went to lose to Man U 1-0 at home, with Darren Bent missing a score of guilt-edged chances, got a terrible run in the league now though, Man City, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham only broken up by a cup match with Bristol Rovers, oh joy.

Can't wait for next Friday!

I love the new pep talk feature. It's great to see the immediate effects of talks. Can't wait to buy the game once it's out.

Came across something rather funky. Took charge of Plymouth (for the larffs), and discovered during the board meeting, can reduce youth networking to reduce costs, and can organise trials for local lads to see if they're good enough to play for the club. Very funky indeed. Just a shame I've not won a game in 13. Shape is in the form of a pear right now............
