Yeah. Just tried that one early, did **** all. Still losing to the likes of Wigan, WBA, etc.

Using the goals galore atm. Doesn't really work. Only scoring 1 goal a game and usually being outscored. Neither Kuyt, Bellamy, Carroll or Suarez score.

Gonna try Raikans. Cheers mate.

Can anyone tell me how do I change my username here. Just looked everywhere in this forum.
 
I'm playing with a attacking 4-2-3-1:

Johnson----Agger---Skrtel------Enrique
---------Montolivo----Lucas---------
Kuyt---------Gerrard/Maxi------Downing/Bellamy
----------------Suarez-----------------------

But Suarez doesn't score enough goals. He plays as trequartista. I also tried to sell or loan out Carroll but no one makes any offers. I also want to find a good Lucas back-up, because he is the only defensive mid in the whole squad.
Another question: Do you usually get a transfer budget in january or do I have to wait until the second season

November 2016 and the board gives me 40M and I have no need for players in any position and there's no player I'd like to sign atm.

Think I'll buy some 15-16 year-old regens.
 
I had trouble the first time I used Liverpool (finishing 5th?) and got sacked. I played a network game with my friend as and decided I would battle and be good with Liverpool. In my first season:

The way I did this was: 'interact with board' to sign Ayew. Pay over 48 months to sign Doumbia (who is a goal machine) and Damiao in January. The board give you more money in January if you're doing well and making these signings go a long way to help that. I preferred 4-1-2-1-2 narrow except when playing away mostly against the big teams I'd play wingers but I didn't like it as Liverpool's wingers are rubbish.

You sold Jack Robinson. It surprises me when people sell him because he develops pretty well and become a great left back. So the only reason to sell him is if you're not intending a long-term save.

Well yeah he looked awesome but 5m was too tempting for a youngster who was some way to achieving his potential and El Khatouri is awesome even though his stars don't represent that.

The board gave me a pretty big budget which allowed me to land the fantastic Hamsik! Gerrard turns into horse **** and so only plays a bit-part role for me now but does make some cameo appearances.

Also doing pretty well! My current season standing:

I got United in the FA cup AND Carling cup so was very harsh. I got knocked out of both in which United were VERY lucky. But otherwise I'm on course to win the title if I keep it up.

I think the main thing Liverpool need is a solid central midfielder and a goal poacher.

A goal poacher would be Seydou Doumbia or Edinson Cavani. Solid defender would be Christopher Samba TANK!

thinking of Hulk can buy him on 48 months ive sold Maxi for £4 million, will he be good as inside forward?
If not will he ruin my tactic, with 2 winger?

Buy Hulk and you can use him as a striker or as IF. The same for Suárez (better on the left as IF than sstriker)
 
So is 4-2-3-1 Better?
But what should my strikers role be?
Suarez LIF - Gerrard/Shelvey Trequista - Hulk RIF???
Sanogo/Carroll/Kuyt - ROLE????

You put Suárez as IF on the left, Hulk as striker and a winger left footed on the right IF (is Downing left footed? I don't remember) if he is you can put him there. Or you can play Hulk on the right and try the strikers to see who performs better.
 
Carroll Complete Forward?

Has anyone tried using Carroll as a complete forward on support? Obviously having a Target Man in a short-passing system doesn't work out well, so I was wondering whether anyone had tried this with any success?
 
Started off as Liverpool, Sold Skrtel, Aurelio, Jones, Kuyt. I buy all players on 48 month installments.

Bought in Rondon in Jan was second choice behind Vagner Love (wage demands were too high), He's been banging the goals in. Gerard has spend at least half the season injured. Suarez hasn't been much better. Both strikers ended on 2 and 3rd on the prem scorers list behind torres. Rondon got around 15 in half a season. Carroll got ****** all.

I rotate heavily so all the young guys are progressing well, Coates is very close to being first choice CB, he's getting a few goals from corners, which the others aren't.
Bought Der Stettin as backup keeper.
Whenever I play FM, I usually end up having two first team squads that I rotate each game, am well on the way to that now.

Am now in the offseason am offloading Doni, Cole, Aqualini, Kelly, Bellamy , Spearing, Maxi, maybe Downing, Carroll has gone on a loan with 15m buy clause.
Bought in Rossi, and trying for Hamsik, will also look for a winger if budget allows.
Carra won't get much gametime now, I bought a CD/DL on a free from Barcelona (not sure of his name right now) who has a better potential than the rest of my CD's.

I probably should sell Gerard and Carra due to Age/Injury, but probably won't, board refused to let me sign them as Player/coach's due to number of coachs.
 
After saying i would challenge for the title in my first season with Lpool i finished 3rd on level points with Chelsea and 3 points behind Man UTD and i was sacked!!!!!!!!! Anyone else think this is a little harsh????
