Well the first team I used in developing this tactic is Aston Villa..
So it should work really..
I'll give it another try in 10.2. Will update you guys tonight.

any ideas how to play away games? i try to play without changes and i lose against Almeria :| then i make my full backs supporting, play narrower and faster with counter-attacks. i also change full backs mentality 3-4 bars lower but it doesn't work.

at home this tac is superb. 3:2 againt R. Madrid, 2:1 against A. Madrid and 2:2 against Barcelona

i also give my squad so you can check it and tell what can i change there. i'm already out of ideas.

i cant play in very wide and big pitch, probably that my playmaker is slow dunno, for example i cant win vs borussia dortmund stadium :D, anyway good tactic tho as i said earlier :P.

If you play against weak teams, it's probably because they countered the tactic using the defense and spam defenders in own half approach. Try to play slower, and don't change the full backs mentality unless you are against a big team.

For the width of the play, if they have 'small' pitch then play wider, whereas big pitch just play normal.

Big wide pitch should be good as my pitch is big and wide. It's good for your winger.. unless they are slow as well. If you have problem with that just play narrower.
 
Can you help me with this ? I always take the lead in the first half then my matches end up with a draw or loss. For example, I lead 2- 0 in the first half then I lost 2 -3. I have no idea what's going on. I'm currently managing Cardiff city.

I'm guessing you don't do any changes when you got the lead. Be an active manager and change the mentality and time wasting - even the formation.
 
I find it useful to have the opposition's formation on my match screen .....especially at the end of matches when they may change to a more attacking formation(usually 4-2-4) which can screw up your marking etc..

Check out this player my scout just recommended!

I'm after beautiful match agains Espanyol (they dont have even 1 CCC!) and I have 6 CCC! But there is another problem. I've got fantastic offensive players - Soldado + Cardozo and Parejo/Riquelme but they dont finish this CCC. What can I change? I've got good coaches, using TUG's Training schedule. There is a lot of situations when Soldado and Cardozo are in pair against goalkeeper and they always ends situations alone. So any ideas? :)

Yeah I always put up the formation box during match.. Also effective if you are man marking... It's a habit due to playing in a network game where people can change their players every 10 minutes. :D

LOL is he a cyborg is something? Check his report on personality. Sometimes we can find funny ***** in that section.

Awesome. You're using the v3.1 ?
Well for one on one chances I think in the new patch, the match engine has lowered down the chances of converting CCC to goals. It's sad really as this tactic is doing really well on its through balls which allows strikers to have CCC.

I can't recommend any tactical changes in terms of converting these chances. Maybe lowering down the long shot, but I believe strikers have already low setting on that. I assume it would be better if your striker to round the keeper - make them train this move -, instead of pounding them in when one on one with the keeper.

firstly - yes, I'm using v3.1.

CCC still still are my biggest problem. Soldado doesn't want to learn, Cardozo is learning but there are no effects. I tried to swap Cardozo and Soldado with the positions - it doesn't work too. I think that I must wait, it's the last thing that I can do now.

but another problem showed up today. my defenders are making so fu*ckin' much penalties for the opponents. in almost every match my rival have a penalty. seriously, it's pretty annoying. defence plays fantastic except what I wrote above. any ideas?

Okay try lowering the creative freedom of your strikers and defender. Just below nornal.
and for defenders, set the full back to 'easy' tackling, and for the central who have <10 decisions, also set them to easy tackling.

That should work, I think.
 
Hm this seems interesting and quite fitting to my current squad. I'll give it a go.

flat 4-4-2 is doing very well, very very well. but i can't say how it will be with weaker teams coz' i've got an offer from Arsenal and I left Getafe.

i've made some changes too, maybe it will interests you.

right striker have supporting role, not attacking. left striker as central attacker(i don't know how it's named in english version of FM), not poacher. shorter passing, easy tackling for whole team. starting strategy = control. defence line high + offsides. central midfielder (left) is "central midfielder (:D) and his role is attack, right central midfielder is ball-winning midfielder with defence role.

results: 20 wins, 5 draws, 4 loses (2nd matches in 1/8 and 1/4 CL. after winning first match 3:0 and 6:0 + Chelsea and Man City)
