Cheers lads :)

FEBUARY/MARCH

After a great month last month the pressure was really on Arsenal and manager Jake Hopper to keep this form up to the end of the season, and Arsenal would surely end with some trophies.

FA CUP 4TH ROUND

Derby 2 - 5 Arsenal
Guiza (21,50)
Campbell (31)
Walcott (33)
Tonge (46)
Davies (54)
Ramsey (56)

Really good game, played the second string pretty much and they rewarded me. Guiza is back on form which can only be good news, another striker fighting for a starting role.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Bolton 2 - 2 Arsenal
Elmander (5)
Guiza (38, 53)
Davies (85)

Davies' late goal snatched a point for Bolton

Devastating late blow from Davies takes 2 points from Arsenal. Went one nil down early to an Elmander wonderstrike but fought back well, only to lose the lead late on.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Arsenal 3 -
0 Sunderland
Guiza (8)
Arshavin (40)
Bendtner (61)

Didn't let that setback bother us and we steamrollered Sunderland here. Really good win to get back on track.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Arsenal 2 -
1 Manchester United
Rooney (26)
Walcott (63)
Arshavin (80)
Palomobo S/O (82)
Evra S/O (90)

Arshavin celebrates late winner in crucial game for Arsenal
Tempers flaired in this feisty encounter. United took the lead but Arsenal showed great grit and determination to fight back. The pace of Walcott as an impact sub was what changed the game and he scored the 1st and provided the 2nd. 2 red cards late on tarnished this gladiatorial display from 2 of the biggest clubs in Europe.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Birmingham 1 - 5 Arsenal
Eduardo (7,59)
Walcott (20)
Bendtner (50, 64)
Jerome (61)

Good win away from home against bottom table Birmingham, keeping the pressure on the other teams at the top.

FA CUP 5TH ROUND

Aston Villa 1 - 2 Arsenal
Agbonlahor (11)
Eduardo (16,48)

Good comeback to progress through to the next round of the FA Cup, still a potential quadruple on the cards!

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 1ST KNOCKOUT ROUND LEG 1

Rangers 0 - 3 Arsenal
Arshavin (4,17)
Gallas (31)
Gallas S/O (45)
Reilly S/O (71)

Wonderful win which should see us comfortably through to the quarter final stage. Really proved too much for a poor Rangers team.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Arsenal 1 -
1 Chelsea
Kalou (2)
Yobo (84)

Late equaliser from Yobo in what could prove to be a vital point for Arsenal come the end of the season. Should have scored more and took all 3 points from this game.

Arsenal delighted with equaliser

LEAGUE CUP FINAL

ARSENAL CLINCH FIRST TITLE FOR ALMOST 7 YEARS

Arsenal 2 -

Van Persie (72)

Arsenal have today clinched their first piece of silverware for many years! Fans are dancing in the streets at their increase in fortunes after new manager Jake Hopper guided them to the League Cup with a nice 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

PREMIER LEAGUE FA CUP 6TH ROUND

Arsenal 1
- 0 Bolton
Song (64)

Arsenal are into the FA Cup Semi-Final where they will meet Man City. This is another glorious chance to gain another trophy. Probably wasn't the best performance or result but this is what champions do, grind out the results when it really matters.

FA CUP FINAL 2010

CHELSEA V ARSENAL

Today is the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Arsenal. Arsenal have the opportunity to secure a domestic treble with victory here today. Chelsea, who finished runners up in the league behind Arsenal, have a point to prove after a pretty disappointing season for them.

Chelsea 2 - 0 Arsenal

Chelsea proved too much for Arsenal today after taking an early lead through Drogba. Arsenal showed nothing in the first half and soon slipped to a 2-0 deficit after Demba Ba doubled the lead. Arsenal fought back hard in the second half and created a number of chances, but unfortunately couldn't take any of them and the game finished 2-0 to Chelsea.

Arsenal can still end the season on a high with the upcoming Champions League Final against Barcelona.

THE LINEUPS

Barcelona are without Messi, arguably the best player in the world. Surely this will give Arsenal a boost as they have one less threat to worry about. This is anybodys game!

KICK OFF
11 Min-
First shot of the night by Ibra. He gets a yard of space on the edge of the box but fires well wide. Not a very lively game so far.
19 Min- Arsenal have a trio of successive corners but unfortunately nothing is made of any of them. This is a middle battle to say the least!
25 Min- Arsenal attack down the right through Fabregas, he passes inside to Van Persie who spots a pass, first time, slips it through to Arshavin, he's through 1 on 1, ITS IN! GOOOOOAAAALLLL! 1-0 Arsenal, Arshavin has given the English club the lead.
33 Min-
Iniesta has a decent effort but it goes into the side netting. Barcelona are really struggling to create any decent chances. Gilberto is suffocating their creative midfielders.
45 Min- Its half time here and still 1-0 Arsenal.

Eduardo has to be brought off at half time after picking up a light injury. He is replace by David Guiza, who is playing his last game for Arsenal.

View attachment 68609

45 Min- Second Half gets underway
55 Min-
First chance of the half as the ball bounces out after an Arsenal corner to Sagna, who drills the ball back in and it strikes the bar but comes to nothing.
62 Min- Arsenal substitute, Van Persie replaced by impact sub Walcott.
70 Min- Arsenal have some neat build up play in the centre, keeping the ball well, its sprayed out to the right where Palmobo launches a ball in at pace, its past everyone, to the back post, GUIZA IS THERE, THATS IT! 2-0 ARSENAL!! SURELY THEY CANT BE CAUGHT NOW. FANTASTIC BALL BY PALOMBO!
73 Min-
Arsenal substitute, Arshavin replace by Alex Song as Arsenal look to seal the victory.
90 Min- FULL TIME

ARSENAL HAVE DONE IT! THEY HAVE SECURED THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TROPHY AND THE TREBLE! WHAT A SEASON UNDER NEW MANAGER JAKE HOPPER. HE HAS BECOME AN INSTANT FAN FAVOURITE AFTER SECURING ARSENALS FIRST EVER CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WIN.

Arshavin was immense this season. 33 goals and 28 assists is absolutely fantastic from the lad. What a season!

Superb first season mate. As an arsenal fan it makes good reading :D

I know you told me the skin was called flex but where can I download it from? thanks

Absolutely fabulous first season mate. Will be very difficult to replicate however. Great win over Barcelona, highlight of the season :)

Cheers :) Will definitely be back for the second season but going to have a break until I have finished my last exam. Was delighted with the manner in which we beat Barca, dominated the game.

PRE-SEASON UPDATE

After a very successful first season with Arsenal, in which he completed the treble of the Champions League, Premier League and the Carling Cup, Jake Hopper was offered a new lucrative contract at Arsenal. He now has a contract worth 100k a week until the end of the 2014 season.

ARSENAL GIVEN BUDGET OF £45M
A good budget which should allow Hopper to expand his squad if he so wishes. With a number of players on his shortlist, Hopper may also need to free up some of the wage bill and increase the transfer budget by selling some of the dead wood around the club like Fabianski, Senderos and Mannone.

PLAYERS LEAVE ARSENAL
Today 4 players have left Arsenal after not being offered new contracts. Veterans Sol Campbell and Mikael Silvestre will now have to look for new clubs, as will youngsters Kerrea Gilbert and Kyle Bartley, who weren't up to the high standards of the Arsenal youth academy.

TRANSFERS OUT
Arsenal have let a massive 18 players leave the club on loan. All youngsters, Hopper is a firm believer in the belief that players only improve with first team football. Wilshere, Lansbury, Randall and Emmanuel-Thomas have all left for feeder club QPR in the Championship, who will now have an excellent chance at promotion with some of these brilliant young talents. Carlos Vela has moved on loan to Porto for a fee of £1.5m as his lack of playing time last season meant he wasn't reaching the potential expected of him. Djourou, recently back from a lengthy injury, has left for feeder club Celta alongside Barazite and Veraratti as Hopper believes they are of a good enough standard to be playing in the top spanish league. Simpson has moved to recently relegated Wigan. Finally, Nordtveit and Galindo move to Scottish Premier side Aberdeen.

Phillippe Senderos
has departed Arsenal after returning on loan from Everton to find himself as a backup player. He has moved for £8m to Hoffenheim a good sum of money for a backup player. Sczenecy, a keeper deemed surplus to recquirements has left for Sevilla for a fee of £1.3m, and another keeper, Mannone, moved to Sporting Gijon for the same fee.

TRANSFERS IN
After winning the treble last season Arsenal clearly didn't need to expand their squad too much. Hopper identified the need for a new goalkeeper with Almunia, recently capped by England in the World Cup, ageing as well as making some erratic mistakes last season.

To solve this Goalkeeping problem, Jake Hopper has looked to 30 year old Sebastian Frey who was brought in from Fiorentina for a fee thought to be around £20m. He has many years left in him at the top level and is rated amongst the best keepers in the world.

After switching from the 4-3-3 tactic of last season to a more unauthordox 4-1-1-3-1 formation, Hopper also identified the need for a new attacking midfielder who can cover several of the positions. He later announced the singing of Stevan Jovetic, a 20 year old Montegran International. He also joins from Fiorentina, for £18.5m plus Fabianski. Jovetic can cover the AML and AMC slots of Hoppers new tactics, as well as being able to fill in up front if need be. A signing for the future, wonderkid Jovetic will surely set pulses racing at Arsenal this season.

Arsenal also captured young prospect Agbossoumonde who is thought to be an exciting prospect for the future.

Hopper announces first Brazil Squad
View attachment 68812
He has made many changes to the previous squad, calling up excluded Ronaldinho, Naldo, Adriano and Diego, as well as potential debutants Hulk, Carlos Eduardo and Rubinho. Gilberto Silva. Hoppers controversial decision to call up Manchester United LB Filipe over Sevilla's Adriano was met by dismay amongst the Brazilian fans, who stated Filipe is not good enough.

PRE SEASON FRIENDLIES
View attachment 68815

In a positive pre-season which saw just 3 goals conceded and an abudance of goals scored, Arsenal can be confident going into the season after beating some top European teams.

In the coming weeks Arsenal kick start their season with the Charity Shield where they will play Chelsea, before making away trips to Fulham and Tottenahm in the first 2 games of the season. They then have the distraction of the European Super Cup where they will meet Valencia. A testing start to the season which will see whether Hoppers achievements last year were simply a fluke.

Brazil face friendlies against Crotia, Bulgaria, England and Egypt before the end of the year, with the first against Croatia in the coming week. The first match in Hopper's international management career.

Thanks for reading, I hope you will follow over the coming season to see whether Arsenal can continue their dominance or whether Hopper was a one-hit wonder.

Great signings there mate

Cheers mate looking forward to seeing how they do for me!

Thanks, really excited about managing Brazil, they had a pretty disappointing World Cup I have a job on to prove that they are still the best team in the world.

Disappointing first game in charge of Brazil as although we dominated the match, Croatia's keeper was in top form and we couldn't get the all important goal. With the strikers at Brazil's disposal goalscoring should not be a problem, we will put this down as a one off and hope it doesn't happen again.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Fulham 0 - 1 Arsenal
Fabregas (44)

A Fabregas goal just before the break was enough to give Arsenal the 3 points on the opening day of the season. The Fulham team worked hard but didn't even cause any threats to the Arsenal defense, and were probably lucky to keep it at 1-0 to be honest.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Tottenham 0 - 2 Arsenal
Arshavin (15, 18)

article-0-04D93283000005DC-287_468x618.jpg

Arshavin silences the Spurs fans with a delightful double

A great win for Arsenal in a exact replica of the second game of the season last year. On that occasion, Tottenham won the game 2-1 but the strengthening of the Arsenal side since then showed in this game as they cast Tottenham aside without too many problems.

ARSENAL ANNOUNCE NEW £18M SIGNING
After originally stating that he had finished his transfer business for the summer, Arsenal boss Jake Hopper has gone against his word and today announced the signing of highly rated German youngster Mesut Ozil from Werder Bremen. The deal is thought to be worth somewhere around the £18m mark and will give Hopper another attacking option in the advanced positions.

EUROPEAN SUPER CUP

Arsenal 4 -
1 Valencia
Villa (26)
Van Persie (31, 52)
Walcott (63, 84)

uefa-super-cup-2008.jpg

Arsenal added another trophy to the cabinet after succesfully completing a great comeback against Valencia. After going one down Arsenal bounced back and went on to win the game in style, showing real promise and great linkup play in the oppositions half. This is the fourth trophy Arsenal have won since manager Jake Hopper took charge.

Cheers mate pretty happy with the start with Arsenal but I swear Brazil are cursed on this game. They usually go through about 3 managers a year and I've never seen them win anything. I might try dropping all the big stars next game and playing a solid, hard working team getting ridding of players like Robinho, Ronaldinho, Hulk, Adriano etc who just work for themselves.

Good buy with Özil. Take a look at Kroos as well if you'd like to have another german :)
