I am money mad lol, just wondered how much cash youd have to improve the team to keep the other guys around.
Only a 2 point gap on 4th is great at this stage of the season, if you can keep in touching distance after that "crazy" run of games then hopefully things will be easier. Hopefully you can get tielemans to sign. And 1/2 quality additions to deal with the work load.

I cant seem to get a screenshot. I'm still sitting 2nd in the league and now got Leicester in the 4th round of the Capital One Cup. Daryl Murphy has been on fire with 13 goals in 13 games. Regarding Berra I have been playing him until he got sent off and was banned for 2 games so went with Chambers and St Ledger as CBs as Blackett was in need of a rest and I put Hewitt as RB. I am having an issue with players ie Tabb, St Ledger, McGoldrick coming upto me and asking for 1st team football but I've told them all that Murphy for McGoldrick, Collison for Tabb and Berra (until he got sent off) for St Ledger were all playing better. St Ledger kopped the nark but the other 2 accepted it. So hopefully will not upset the excellent squad harmony I've built up. Now on the October international break.

mahaha. Yeah they backed me a further £9m which was real handy! Managed to get a couple of cheapys and some real good loan signings!

Now about to do the update for January :-) Takes so long doing these posts haha. I do love it though :-)

What are your thoughts on the save so far? Still enjoying it?

Dya reckon it will take me long to get in the champions league? :-O
 
Apart from the Hull match, what a great month for ya! and if you can bring in Tielemans then what a top signing!

Felt like the permanent signing of Pelle was a decent one. He didnt really hit it off with Southampton in the first season, or with Leicester.... But i like him. His finishing is just beast. I think if my players can give him the ball in the box he'll put it away more often than not. Hoping he can be a real good signing.

When i was looking for young strikers, mainly for competition. I came across this guy. Hes stats would suggest his not ready for first team football yet. But he has awesome potential and for only £500k, i feel like ive really got a steal here. I'll leave him to develop in my U21's and get him some loan spells. Maybe some cup action to when i can. Could become a real prospect in a few years.

Tibbling, his stats look just amazing. At 22 hes young, but definitely not too young and he is ready challenge Collison right away. Whilst Hughes is on and off of the injury table. Having this guy around will take alot of pressure off Hughes.

Rose looks like a decent Cb to me. His stats are good, i managed to get a £2.5m clause to buy him if he plays well enough!

Carrasco, similar type of player to Tibbling. Can play in the middle and on the left. Really like the look of this guy. Him and Tibbling just looked too good to not sign!

Pina has half decent stats for a DM. Hyam has been good for me this year. But Skuse hasnt really followed up last years performances.


I dont really like to make so many signings and break the bank as much as i have bringing all these guys in. My wage budget is really soaring now.
With that crazy fixture list in January i had. I felt some decent signings to give me more depth would really sort me out a treat and keep in the running on all fronts. As much as id love to break into the top 4 and make the Champions League. Winning a trophy this year too wouldnt go a miss. Especially as im still hurting from losing to Norwich in the FA CUP Semi final back in the first season!!

After drawing with City, smashing Liverpool in the cup, drawing with Everton and then smashing Liverpool AGAIN! I have started this run of fixtures unbeaten in 4 and scoring for fun! Major major effort. Beating Liverpool leaves us 3 points the top on Week 22.

Well!....I dont know WHAT all the fuss was about! Ended up going through the crazy run with just 1 defeat. Surprisingly, the 4 draws i got were all very even matches too. Disappointed to we couldnt make the Final as i felt we couldve won it!
To draw in the FA CUP wasnt helpful! Considering Watford are a premiership team i maybe shouldnt have rotated as much. I felt the team had enough about them to win. But now i have just added another game to my schedule! What a ****!

So happy to come out the end of that still in contention for the Champions League spots. 3 points behind with a game in hand. To make the Champions League 2 season after just winning promotion i would be buzzing! It would mean that ive succeeded in this thread as i would have actually finished off the job. Narrowly missing out on the Champions League back in 2000 and then getting relegated the following season is what the "unfinished business" meant. If i can wrap up the thread so early id be happy.

I would then move on to 'EMULATING TWO IPSWICH & ENGLAND GREATS'. This would then see the challenge further to Winning the Premiership (Just like Sir Alf Ramsey), the FA CUP and a Major European trophy (just like Sir Bobby Robson).

I missed out on Tielemans :-(

For some reason when i went to make a loan offer it never had the "make loan offer" available.

Looking at his profile, it does say 20% is owned by his agent or someone or other. So whether this is stopping him being loaned out im not sure?

That may be what it is mate but unlucky about not getting him but what an amazing month there!

tough for me in the Prem as my first 5 games of the season is: Man City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and Everton :( lol

Well near the end of November and I'm still 2nd in the league. I lost 2-0 to Huddersfield at home so I was shocked that I beat Leicester 3-0 in the Capital One Cup as had to make at least 6 changes due to match fitness. I've now got Middlesboro. in the quarter final so every chance at progressing into the semi final. Daryl Murphy is league top scorer at the mo with 14 goals and he has the most assists and man of the matches. So going along very nicely :)

Semi final will be awesome man. Get into the final and possibly a place in europe! Its awesome when you get a run of matches in the cup against a lower league team though isnt it!
Murphy is a beast in the first season. Not surprised to see him doing so well for ya.

You playing Bishop much? I never really gave him much game time in the end :(

The table after 30 games looks very encouraging. Ive now got a 6 point lead on any challengers for 4th place. Im 1 point behind Man Utd & Chelsea. Im also only actually 9 points behind Man City. If i could somehow manage to win the league that would just be simply incredible!

The top 3 sides are all still competing in Europe so that could go to my advantage if im to make a shock climb to 1st!
Ive got a pretty straight forward final 8 games. My only challenges being Man City, but that match is wedged right inbetween their Europe league matches. So maybe i can either catch them really tired or just a completely weaker team. I cant imagine Man City will want to lose the Europa League!
Man Utd on the last game of the season could be a deciding game as far as league positions go.
I cant see us dropping more than 9 points to be honest. To fall out of the Champions league places would mean Liverpool dont lose anymore games. But im sure theyl slip up somewhere. Meaning id then have to drop at least 13 points. Seeing as my goal difference is 13 superior.

It should be interesting to see where everyone sits with 3 games left. The next 5 league matches could see a change in the league table.

To have the League still winnable in the remaining few games should make things really exciting!

Some awesome news for next season already! Angelo Henriquez has been granted a British work permit for the remainder of his contract here! Upon request which im relieved about. Although he was signed the summer window before this season. Ive ended up progressing without him. So it will be like a new signing come next season :-)

My strikers should well and truly be sorted now for the next 4 - 5 years!

Leaving me with the chance to get in some real decent young recruits for our defence to go in front of Cillessen. If i remain in the top 4, the players that would then available to me will be superb.
 
Great form to catch and overtake liverpool, fingers crossed for a decent end to the season, i think finishing 3rd should be the aim nothing worse then finishing 4th and getting a big team in the qualifiers.

Thanks Tracz! Yeah 3rd should be decent target now! Champions league has got to be cert surely!

Yeah hopefully henriquez can come back and put pressure on Woodrow, Dybala & Bonazzoli. But them 3 have been an awesome trio for me since Woodrow signed.
McGoldrick has really lost form so might try make a few quid out of him in summer. Murphy is still scoring when called upon so he can stay.

These amazing 12 wins on the trot have not only seen us propel into 2nd place but also secure a place in the FA CUP final against Chelsea. After being knocked out in the semis back in 2014/15 by arch rivals Norwich. Im chuffed to have finally gone one step further. If we can win the FA CUP ill be mega happy. It would be the first time Ipswich have won the FA Cup since their last and only time back in 1978!

So, what a view this is to all Ipswich fans hey! Second season back in the Premiership, Champions League is pretty much guaranteed. We also have a very fine chance of lifting the title. With 3 games left now i need Man City to drop 5 points.

The the top 4 shouldnt change now i dont think as Liverpool are 5 points behind Chelsea!

Man City probably have the easiest run in alongside Chelsea. MAYBE JUST MAYBE, with the Europe league wedged in their Man City may end up dropping 5 points. But thats a really big MAYBE.

The final game of the season between us and Man Utd could end up being the decider for who finishes 2nd.

If we win the league AND the fa cup that only leaves a european cup to match Robson & Ramsey!
Creating a dynasty with Ipswich would be a decent challenge after to catch up with Ferguson as the most successful scottish manager!
