But the last game against Man Utd means we can still have a say. If we win, we will finish 2nd.
If we draw, it stops Man Utd winning the league.
If we lose and City win, Man Utd will win the league!

He is a key player and i only paid £5m for him so i guess i cant grumble too much?!....But still, if he moans again in the next two season ill consider selling him on and making a decent profit. Dont want greedy moaning twats in my team.

I was in the red at one stage towards of the end of the season. But finishing 3rd and qualifying for the Champions League has straight away had a positive effect to my balance and projection!

My Projection was dropping by a large amount for the next 2 seasons but qualifying for the Champions League has certainly improved it. Projection sees my final balance drop next season but the following year sees it increase again.


Budgets Given For Next Season

Not a great budget to be given before we set out on our first European adventure in over 10 years. But i have been spending reasonable amounts the last few summer windows. Team should be strong enough with a few loan signings again.


What a season, never expected to make the Champions League. My target after all was to break into the top 6. Chuffed, but now we have to keep building on this and will be expected to finish in the top 4 again no doubt! Roll on next season and Champions League Football!! COYB

Despite Arsenal finishing in 7th place, they Win the Champions League this year for the 2nd time on the trot to Qualify!

5 English teams in Champions League next year! WOW

Transfer Window Update

Jack Grealish's loan has been extended for an astonishing 4th season. Grealish's contract at Aston Villa runs out at the end of the season so surely Ipswich will be looking to sign the young English winger on a free transfer.


Simon Tibbling has extended his loan spell with Ipswich to the end of the season after impressing since arriving on loan back in the January transfer window.


Yannick Ferreira Carrasco has also extended his loan spell with Ipswich until the End of the season.

Pitty yiu couldn lt get the win at old trafford to finish 2nd or 1st, but 3rd is a great achievement for only your 2nd season in the premier league, do you feel your squad has enough strength in depth to compete in the champions league and fight for the top 4 again? We dont wont history to repeat itself.

To be honest im quite happy with the team. Ive managed to sign kalas on a free as his contract expired after the loan. The 3 loans ive extended will help alot. Im going to try bleed in George Fowler and Ted Bishop this year to help with my home grown players list!
i think the league will have to be my priority over Champions league. Obviously il be 4th seed so if i can get out of the group stages il be chuffed. Top 4 in the league again has to come first over anything else though. If i can get in champions league again next season that will be good for finances! Also il have my new stadium built!
 
Now on way back from work. Will post in a bit. They aren't superstars but they have developed a bit. Should be half decent for rotation now. Will save me bringing people in constantly. Praying for a decent intake this season! Havnt hAd any good regens yet!
 
There will be a quite a few changes this season. Ive got to look at the way im buying and selling players. Although ive been bringing some real decent signings and i havnt made many mistakes as far that goes. I havnt seen much selling going on. We are still a growing club and i cant really afford to be holding on to players with huge wages. And if i can make a few quid profit out of them i should really start looking into it.

Ive brought players in for real low fees and now they are worth alot money. Bonazzoli i paid £1m for...Hes now worth £20m. Dybala i paid £5m for, hes now worth £10m. Surely if i can sign these sort of players once for such a low fee i can find a similar bargain again?

Im going to be selling on a few players who simply underperformed last season. Ill also be making a bit of money out of them. But whats dawned on me most is i have only 2 players in my first team who are 'trained at club'. Bishop & Fowler will add to them to make 4. But they havnt proved their worth at this level yet.

I will be spending alot more time trying to find some real decent young buys, and some good additions to my first team. I need to make a bit of profit in the transfer windows for the next 2 years to help with our finances.
 
Bishop and fowler both look like they could fit into the squad for rotation atleast, hopefully they can push on in the next year or two,

I decided i would be sell some players this season as i felt i didn't necessarily need them. I wanted to make some room in my wage budget and also make some money through sales as ive lacked this side to my game so far. I didnt want to make any changes to my starting 11 as ultimately they are my heroes right now. Theyve got me to the Champions League and they will be coming out to the famous music at Portman Road.

I didnt want to spend anything if i could help it. My new recruits should become real decent assets when i need to rotate. Obviously ive already sealed the loan extensions of Grealish, Carrasco & Tibbling so these are not included. Grealish & Tibblings contracts both run out at the end of the season so if i can sign both of these guys on a free i will be absolutely over the moon, considering they are worth over £10m each.


Romuald Lacazette

Romuald Lacazettes contract was running out at the end of the season and after doing a little bit of searching i found him. Some of his attributes are not quite stand out. But for £28.5k i think ive definitely landed a bargain here. He should be half decent back up to Hyam, if not i will have to go back into the loan market.

Tomas Kalas

Kalas is a player i had on loan last season. He ended up becoming my main centre back with Batth preferring to play on the right side of the 3. His contract run out so i was happy to sign him up. Still young and room to develop. Excellent attributes for a centre back i think. Especially his physical attributes.
Darryl Seabrook

Darryl Seabrook is a young striker i spotted whilst searching for new talent. Ive signed him on loan from Reading as at the moment i seem to be having a good bit of luck with extending loan deals. If he does well and i can extend next season, his contract runs out in 2019 so i could be on for another free transfer.

Nelson Oliveira

Nelson Oliveira is probably a bit of a marquee signing to be honest. Hes quite well known around the world but for whatever reason he has fell out of favor at Benfica. Not that ill be complaining. A season long loan will mean i have really good back up now with Henriquez also available after having his work permit accepted :-)


Pre-season

A real good pre-season again for us. We smashed the Americans on Tour. Young Jack Sinnott from my youth team making his mark with a few goals.
We went to Belgium and beat both Anderlecht & Club Brugge. The highlight of pre-season though has got to be trouncing Barcelona at Portman Road 6-1. Pretty disappointed it wasnt a full house actually. After the season we had and such high calibre opposition i expected at the very least 29,000.
The final 2 friendlies were irrelevant as my first were match fit. I played these last two games with fringe players who needed match fitness and youth players. Pleased i still won although not so convincingly.

Just in case people presume i played Barcelona's weaker side, here is the full match review. Fair enough messi was on the bench, but their side should be beating us really. Massive win! Does this mean we will win the Champions League this year then?....

Compared to the other groups, a real easy draw for me. Obviously im still going to find it tough but wow when the 3rd seeds were drawn. More than most of the groups i didnt fancy one bit!

Its sad to see hyam as the only town boy in your first eleven, will you be trying to change this over the seasons?
