DECEMBER

Niang comes off the bench to score 4 against Bolton
Newcastle to play Benfica in the Champions League
Fulham sack Pardew - appoint JOE COLE!!!!
Newcastle reserves and u18s have won all their games so far

Well I wanted more goals and I got more goals! To be fair it was mainly due to M'baye Niang who scored 4 after coming on against Bolton with only half an hour left - Redmond set up 3 of them. I couldnt exactly drop him after that and he kept scoring so could this be him taking over from Papiss Cisse finally?

What also helped was the 4 own goals that we received in our favour - the opposition must have been in the xmas swing of things!

Recovering from the bad November, hopefully you'll carry it on and grab a 3rd league title!

Niang is brilliant for you, I've always seen a lot of him but never signed him myself.

Looking forward to the next update :)

JANUARY

Cisse scores 6 past Arsenal
Newcastle finally bring in Rutkowski
Sunderland beaten in the FA Cup
Kagawa named Asian player of the year

A great month. We started off by beating Sunderland with 10 men in the FA Cup and then came the game against Arsenal where we were 2 down after 50min but we scored 7 and Cisse helped himself to 6!!!!!!! Then off he went to the African Cup of Nations.

We struggled past Liverpool and got our usual goal fest against Spurs and finally beat Charlton in the FA Cup 4th round where Crewe beat Man Utd.

Transfer wise we sold Tinguinha but brought in Karim Rekik from Man City for £180,000. In my Bilbao save he ended up at Real Madrid valued at £30m so should at least make a profit on him. We also brought in long term target Jens Rutkowski for £4m. I bid £10m for him 2 years back!

FEBRUARY

Newcastle through to FA Cup quarters to face Spurs again!
Manchester United beaten easily
The previously underpaid Cisse and Santon get bumper new deals on request
Belgium thump Qatar

Another good solid month. The Wigan result was poor but we bounced back by beating Man Utd easily. More wins and more goals followed on the most part except against Benfica where we battled out a no score draw.

Papiss Cisse and Davide Santon got new contracts as they were being grossly underpaid at £30k and £25k a week respectively. I more than doubled their wages as a result.

Do you rate the Danish Regen as high as fm11 regen Mikkel Andersen?

That Danish regen I had in our network game is my 2nd favourite regen of all time! Aitor takes the crown of course!

MARCH

Spurs beaten in the FA Cup - Chelsea next
Benfica beaten in the Champions League - Valencia next
Man City slip up and we close the gap
Belgium knock 5 past the Faroe Islands

As we are coming into the most interesting time of the season where the medals and gongs are handed out and we are bubbling along nicely. Winning against Sunderland is always nice and so to against Spurs as that FA Cup final defeat is still hurting.

Quite pleased with our Champions League draw but I doubt we will win that!

We had an average youth intake with 2 half decent players coming in but nobody special.

APRIL

Newcastle thrash Man City 4-1 in crucial title game
Valencia despatched - AC Milan in the semis
Newcastle to play Everton in the FA Cup final
St.Johnstone become our new feeder club

A fantastic month! Firstly in the league we extended our unbreaten run to 20 games with some fine wins. None more so than the 4-1 crushing of Man City to give us one hand on the title. We have already notched over 100 goals and there are still 4 games to play.

In the FA Cup we beat Chelsea to reach the final and in the Champions League we overcame a 1st leg defeat to Valencia to go through and hold a 2-0 lead over AC Milan in the semi finals and we even missed a penalty!

MAY
&
PREMIER LEAGUE REVIEW

Newcastle clinch title with win over Swansea
Everton beaten in the FA Cup final
Manchester City defeated in Champions League final
Bolton, Huddersfield and Southampton relegated

Unbelievable Jeff!!!!! What an end to the season. We wrapped up the title with the win over Swansea which crucially allowed us to rest players for the Champions League final. In the end we won the league by 4pts and scored 109 goals.

In the FA Cup we battered Everton but were taken into extra time anyways but Mbaye Niang came up with the goods - supersub strikes again!

In the Champions League we negotiated our way past AC Milan before coming up against Man City. We were without Santon, Rodwell, Chalobah and Rutkowski for the final so Christou and Ramsey got starts (Chalobah and Rutkowski are usually subs).

The game was mostly controlled by us and we took the lead through substitue Shinji Kagawa on 79min however Aguero equalised for them on 88min - gutted! I noticed that Man City had a load of rubbish youngsters on the bench which was weird including one player who came on - £7,000 valued Melford McManaman!!!

Anyways in extra time we were the better side and Mulugeta missed a sitter right at the end but we went to penalties. The first 4 were converted and then ex Magpie James Milner missed for City but Cabaye immediately missed for ourselves. The next 4 were again scored but we won it after Zabaleta missed his pen and Kagawa tucked away his!!

Aberdeen win the league and league cup in Scotland!!!! Man City are their parent club.

FEEDER CLUB WATCH

Excellent news here. Carlisle got promoted to the Championship and Gateshead won League 2. I did loan them a few players (mostly young regen foreigners who you get offered by agents on free transfers every pre-season) and they all did well. Will have to help Carlisle a bit next season though methinks. Genk qualified for the Europa League and St.Johnstone finished mid table.

SUMMARY

A fantastic season. I kinda fancied us for the league and always have a chance at a domestic cup but I didnt think I would get the Champions League this year. Was planning a big push for it next season but hey ho.
