July Incoming Transfers
To replace all the players the academy has failed to produce I had to search for some young players. I had to rule out Italy as most of the best players belong to rivals and they won't sell to me and the fans don't want me to buy from them. There is also a lack of talented young Italians at all teams. So I roamed Europe picking up youngsters and promising them jobs in another country. I feel I should maybe change the wording of that.
Jerry St. Juste
View attachment 155727A rotation option at centre back despite his young age. He captained Herenveen at the age of 19 and should develop into a good centre back for us. He signs for €6 million and 600k in clauses a cheap deal for such a talented young player.
Max Kramer

Despite his young age Kramer can play a number of positions already. He signed to us from Bayern Munich for 5.75 million and it could rise to 15 million but, that isn't guaranteed to happen. I do love his versatility so I can see him staying here for a while.
Raul Vangjeli
View attachment 155725Vangjeli has the potential to be a great winger in the future. He also signed from Bayern but, was produced by them. He could be as gifted a footballer as ungifted his hair appears to be. He cost us €5 million and could rise by six million. Surprised Bayern were willing to sell him for such a small amount but, happy to take advantage.
Matthijs de Ligt

Another young Dutch centre back I signed de Ligt has big potential and can also play as a DM. I hope he can develop well enough to break into the first team in a couple of years or less. It cost me €2.8 million to bring him from Ajax to Rome.
Mitchell van Bergen

Bergen is another Dutch player brought to Rome, we have quite the contingent of them. He is a talented winger with great potential and to help he to develop he will spend the year on loan at Grasshoppers in Switzerland to get first team football. He cost €4 million but, it could rise to €9 million of he develops well a good deal for us from Vitesse Arnhem.
Umut Karaca

Yet another signing from Bayern who seem to have had a great youth intakes but, no interest in developing the players. He cost us €7 million that could rise to 18 million if he is a real hit here. He could develop into a real threat as an advanced playmaker dominating from midfield.
Diego Sanchez

We beat all of the best teams in Europe to sign the talented young centre back from relegated Malaga. It shows how far we are going up in the world as I did negotiate a contract with him and not pay him more than everyone else would. The 5.75 million we paid good fee for the centre back who could develop really well and into a great player. He will spend the season on loan at Spezia in the Serie B.
Alisson

We needed a starting keeper so I plucked for the Brazilian and we stole him from under the nose of Porto and Monaco. He will start from day one until Meret develops enough to replace him. An added advantage is that he has German citizenship so isn't a non-EU citizenship signing. He cost us €6.5 million to sign from Internacional.
Vanja Galovic

I felt we lacked young Germans so got another. At 16 he has great mental stats including a great 20 for determination and he is also a good finisher. In a change he is signed from Stuttgart for €6.25 million but, it could rise to €21 million if he is a huge success which I think he could be as he is a great prospect.
Maycon
View attachment 155718A talent signed from affiliate Corinthians for €6 million rising to 15 million. For his first season he has been loaned out to Bursaspor to get a taste of football in Europe. I think he can develop into a very good defensive midfielder for us over time.
Edu Rodriguez
View attachment 155717I felt we lacked balding teenage Germans so I grabbed another one. He can develop into a great right back but, I will need one in between the time he starts and Basta is too old most likely. He is also signed from Bayern but, not from their academy. He cost €4.4 million and can rise to €9 million so if he works out. h\He could develop into one of the best right backs in the world.
Fabricio Oya
View attachment 155716Another Brazilian midfielder signed from Corinthians and loaned out. He cost us 5.75 million and while my scouts may have been a bit over optimistic with his potential he could still become a good CM. He will go on loan to Goias to get first team football.
Roberto Rosales

Another signing from Malaga Rosales replaces the two departing right backs and back up for Basta and then takeover from him for a while. The Venezuelan is a good right back and cost a reasonable €8.5 million and should be a solid rotation option at right back.
Ismail Azzaoui

He was transfer listed at Wolfsburg for just €1.6 million so I was thrilled to sweep in and sign him up for that price. He will be a rotation option on the wing and can develop into a good player put wide.
Josip Drmic

We become his sixth club in as many years and hopefully he can settle here and bang in the goals. He will be the back up to Gabriel Barbosa and is more than qualified to step up and replace Barbosa. A decent fee as well as he only cost €13 million from BMG.
