Is there any alternative to CF, I'm always playing lower league and CF is extinct down there
 
OI/Instant result

CE - assuming as you dont usually use OI they are essential to this tactic ? also have you tried it with instant result?

I would go with a Deep Lying Forward (support). Almost everybody is on attack duty, you need someone who supports them.
 
Instant results :o Atleast for me! Great job CE! I've been a fan of your tactics since FM15 aswell.
This one seems to be just fit for me at Liverpool. I've had a bit of a bad start in my Liverpool save but after putting on this tactic, and I've only played 3 games this is my results!

Gonna give this a whirl with Inter. I've found on this game you really need to look at scout reports and make slight changes to help break downteams. I think it's made it more realistic and harder this year which is good I think.

I'm a little spaced on painkillers for a bad back at the moment so I read all the post but forgot parts of it haha

Just about to test it out now so will run a few games and tinker away. I'll let you know how I get on.

I used to make tactics but in recent years I've just downloaded them. However this year I've been reading lots about different roles how they link etc... And it's peaked my interest again to make them but I think I'll start by tinkering with ready made ones as base guide and go from there.

Those results with Hull are insane - fantastic work.

Could you share some insights / examples of games in that season, how did you do against the big teams, what did you do in those games.

Thats how everyone would try to do when opening a thread! Well done! Organized and all information about it to the community!

Now, for the tactic, i always keep with my feet beyond when i see results like this in first season with teams like Hull with the default squad, with no major signings! I must be honest and i know i will be punched for saying this but it always remind me that chinese tactics with fake screens!
I am not saying that this screens are fake but man you must have been very lucky achieving that results with Hull!

I follow everything you say in OP! I started 2 times with Hull in 2 saves, and i will not post here any screen because i don´t want to SPAM your thread! This is just my opinion, to make it clear! In the first save in December my record was about 6/7 losses! Then i started another save with the team and the results where leading me to the same road of the first save!

so far so good for me, creating some lovely goals, best one i tried so far for fm17, started out bottom in the prem after 11 games and now im 7th, only used the normal one too
