No improvement for PSG in November

View attachment 155709

There wasn't much of an improvement for PSG as they won 1, drew 1 and lost 1 in November to stay in the bottom half of the table in the World League Premiership. Their 2-1 win against Porto was by far their best performance of the month despite David Luiz getting sent off quite early on and Higuain has definitely proved to be a good signing for the French side as he's scored 5 goals in 12 appearances which for a player of his calibre still isn't amazing. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has also disappointed since the start of the season and there will be questions as to whether or not he should stay at the end of the season or if maybe it's an issue with the formation used by Laurent Blanc.

Two early
goals
were what sealed the deal for PSG as they managed a 2-1 victory which made chairman Arnault very pleased, according to inside sources, as he believes that Porto are one of the strong sides in the league this season.

And those were the other two results for PSG this month which clearly were not good for the French club, with Arnault reportedly losing patience with manager Laurent Blanc and his approach that clearly doesn't seem to be working. PSG looked like they could have gotten back into the game against Benfica but loanee Correa's goal in the 20th minute proved to be the difference as the Frenchies couldn't score a second goal as their game against Valencia ended as a 0-0 draw yet again.

The Argentine forward scored twice and made one assist in 3 games and it was a tough decision to make considering Thiago Silva's impressive performances overall but Higuain was the player who brought the most for the club during those last 3 games and the PSG chairman as well as the fans will be very happy about the forward's performances since joining the club and will be hoping that they continue and bring PSG closer to the top of the table.

New-look Atletico Madrid make solid start to the season.

In a summer of huge shifts in the footballing world, there were also huge changes in the Spanish capital. Former investor **** Jianlin, as well as the former owners released their ownership of the club, as they did not want to go along with the new league system. This allowed for a huge name in football to come in to take ownership of the club. That man is none other than Argentinian legend Diego Armando Maradona.

View attachment 155664
Maradona has a lot of connections to the Madrid club, especially in his long-going connection with manager Diego Simeone. Despite having had differences in the past, Maradona said he had full faith in Simeone, and would back him in the transfer market.

Sticking true to his word, a lot of cash was splashed on 3 new signings:

View attachment 155661
Spanish attacking midfielder Denis Suarez, who has been part of the Manchester City, as well as the Barcelona academy, joins from Villarreal. He's a player of great potential, who also adds to the Spanish quota of players.

View attachment 155662
Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva also joins from Monaco. He's a personal favourite of Maradona, as a player that emulates some of the best traits from Diego's playing days. A fantastic dribbler and a great passer, Maradona made a strong claim in saying that Bernardo Silva would be part of the team of the year at the end of the season, he's that good.

View attachment 155663
The last signing is a personal friend of Maradona's. Argentinian world-class striker Carlos Tevez joins to replace Fernando Torres, who was sent back to Milan. Tevez has a fabulous goal-scoring record, and will be responsible for coming up big to win Atletico enough points to compete at the top.

It's been a good start to the season. We've had a lot of difficult away games, at PSG, both Manchester clubs and Juventus, without being embarrassed. The only real blip was the shocking 0-3 loss in the Madrid derby.
As for player performances, Tevez has been a revelation. 14 goals in 15 starts in all competitions, and he already looks great value for the money. Felipe Luis and Gabi have also performed very well, and new signing Bernardo Silva has been excellent when given the chance.

The first game of December will be a crucial one, as we face high-flying Arsenal at home. Hopefully we can put an end to their unbeaten run, and keep fighting for a top spot in the league.

Rojiblancos!!

Are they in the U18's for Porto perhaps? Or are they still at Ajax and Spurs respectively?

Arsenal entered the FIFA World League Premiership predicted to finish 8th, 40/1 outsiders to win the league.

Gameweek 1

Arsenal 2-2 PSG

The opening game of the season saw Arsenal welcome French giants PSG. The game was an entertaining affair, with Alexis Sanchez opening the scoring. PSG fought back and lead after 15 minutes of the second half. Aaron Ramsey completed the scoring and both teams were happy with a point.

Arsenal 2-1 Juventus

A very entertaining game saw Arsenal win the game in stoppage time leaving Juventus disappointed. Mario Mandzukic put Juve infront on 41 minutes but Cazorla equalised in first half stoppage time. The second half was a cagey affair and Ozlaide-Camberlain scored with the last kick of the game.

Another solid away performance with goals coming from Ozil, Giroud & Sanchez. The Gunners now unbeaten in 6 league games and sitting pretty in the table

The whipping boys, Corinthians got an absolute pasting at the Emirates. A hat trick from in form Giroud set the tone here. Further goals came from Sanchez & Ozil

Arsenal came flying out the blocks in this one, Santi Cazorla giving them the lead inside of 15 minutes. It was 2-0 just before half time when Theo Walcott scored. The half time teamtalk was easy for Arsene Wenger as his team were cruising. 10 minutes into the second half and Liverpool were level - goals from Benteke and Firmino. Wenger was understandably disappointed at his post match press conference.

December update

Matchday 13

View attachment 154924View attachment 154926

Despite Real Madrid and Inter's game just 2 days before matchday 13 (as they had a game in hand from matchday 12. Barcelona and Chelsea still have to play and the game is scheduled on the 2nd of January), they both managed to grab victories on the 5th of December as PSG grabbed the most impressive win against Juventus at the Parc des Princes whilst Arsenal couldn't do better than a draw against Atletico. Bayern got a narrow win over Chelsea and youngster McNair saved Manchester United a point against FC Porto, who played the last 35 minutes with 10 men. Benfica also rescued a late draw at home against Valencia despite looking like they could have lost the game whilst Corinthians unsurprisingly lost and Liverpool couldn't get the better of Barcelona and also lost yet another game.

Arsenal are still flying at the top of the table after matchday 14, without a single loss but yet another draw this time against Manchester City. Juventus had to rely on Mandzukic to score an 88th minute penalty to grab a late win against Benfica whilst Liverpool impressed away from home as they managed a 3-1 win against Valencia. Shock came from Brazil as Corinthians beat Inter at home and Chelsea also impressed as they beat Atletico 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. The biggest game of the week was between Real Madrid and PSG as the home side got an easy 2-0 win over the French side. Barcelona could not play due to the FIFA Club World Cup whilst Bayern already had a game in hand and therefore didn't have to play in this matchday.

Matchday 15

View attachment 154915
Some great action coming from all around Europe in matchday 15 as Bayern smashed Liverpool 3-0 at the Allianz Arena for their return in the league whilst Arsenal kept their unbeaten run going and Juventus also grabbed a win against Valencia. Chelsea destroyed Manchester City at the Etihad with two late goals from Alexandre Pato whilst Sevilla managed a narrow win over AC Milan. Benfica recorded a very impressive win over giants Real Madrid as PSG also managed an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester United and Corinthians salvaged a point against Porto.

Matchday 16

View attachment 154906
It's getting better and better for Arsenal as we approach the halfway point in the league and they are still unbeaten as they easily beat Porto at the Emirates Stadium 4-2 whilst PSG could only managed1-1 draw with 10-men AC Milan. Corinthians and Sevilla finished with the most boring game of the season so far as Chelsea beat Inter and Barcelona recorded an impressive win over Bayern. Atletico also scored 2 goals in 4 minutes to get a 2-1 win at Anfield and Ronaldo was the hero as Real Madrid won against Juventus.
A couple of teams needed to play a game to catch up on other teams as Martial scored a brace to gift Manchester United all 3 points against Benfica and Bayern got a win against Valencia whilst Atletico got a late equaliser to draw against Barcelona.

JOEY BARTON & EGGFRIED RICE ANNOUNCE FIRST INITIAL PRESS CONFERENCE

New owners of A.C. Milan, Joey Barton and Eggfried Rice have finally announced their takeover of A.C. Milan. Rice had this to say:

"Joey and I are thrilled to take over this wonderful club as they have a lot of history we hope to replicate in the coming seasons. I would like to thank the fans for their patience over the weeks as we got the deal done. The reason this is so late is that a friend of mine, Mr. George Osborne, told me BHS were for sale, but didn't tell me how awful thingswere so I had to sort that out. Joey has, of course, made the signing of Thiago Maia from Santos. First thoughts are that he is best suited to being my new vice president at BHS than playing professional football, but I have faith in Joey. The season itself has gone great thus far. 2 wins so far was good, but Joey was less than impressed when I told him, and he threatened to throw me in the Panama canal. He is yet to speak to me since the derby, and said our manager may soon lose his job"
