Liverpool F.C. The 5 Year Plan.

Great to see Henderson take the armband! Also some good signings, big fan of Mascherano so great to see him back at Anfield and you did well to raise £50m.

(By the way your inbox in private message is full, that's why I couldn't reply!) :)

Aye, Mascherano was one of my favorite players back int he day and I was genuinely gutted to see him go.

Henderson... no brain-er really. The boy will get the armband in real life too. I can't see him leaving Liverpool unless something drastic happens. He's loved here.

Cheers, no idea it was full. Cleared it out now :P

Aye, I know your pain. Liverpool don;t have the same corporate deals as Arsenal, United or Chelsea so cash wise... we're rightly screwed until you get that Champions League money flowing in.

Keep a very close eye on your wage budget... the higher it is, the less you can spend. Makes sense really, if the club is already spending a fortune on keeping players there, why bring more.

Suring up the Defense is probably the first thig I should have done myself but i'm a Rodgers-esqu Mangaer: I love attackign football and developing youngsters :P

I've never actually managed Balanta. I don't know why but I just never seem to buy him.

If you're looking for a replacement for Gerrard, I'd recommend Ruben Neves. he's pretty much the Portuguese Gerrard.
I've been tracking him for 2 years in this save and would have signed him only for the lack of a transfer budget this season.

Yeah I will be keeping an eye on the wage budget and at the end of the season will be looking to offload a couple of players, Jose Enrique is the only one I am definitely trying to offload atm but there will be more, maybe Borini as I haven't got much plans for him as I loaned him out to Inter.

I am the same, I didn't really want to sign Balanta, I like trying to use players that are not so popular amongst other FM players, but for 6 or so million and in a lazy state of mind I couldn't be bothered looking around.

My main tactic is set out to attack it is a 442 diamond narrow and rotate the team where I can and it has ripped some teams apart.

Will defo look at him thanks

Some nice signings made there mate! and a great Pre-Season...good luck for the season and maybe the year you finally bring the Premiership trophy to Anfield!

Just caught up, brilliant story!

Sorry to say I kind of like how you just missed out, now you have a grudge! Build on what you just missed on mate!

Cheers mate. I'm hoping Mascherano can be the difference with Hedo' and Romero in midfield.

I know what you mean. From a story point of view, it's excellent drama. I can win the title in my own time! :P

Too bad about not winning the Premier League last season, you and more importantly Gerrard would have definately deserved it but alas it wasn't meant to be. Good to see Mascherano back with Liverpool, I personally am not a big fan of him (because of his behaviour) but I realize that he will be a pretty usefull player for you. Good luck with your new campaign!

He left becaue the board sacked Rafa and couldn't promise him that they were going to compete for the title. Rafa brought him and Alonso to Anfield and he felt very alienated by the way the board was running the club. We all saw what happened with them when we almost went into administration so I think he had a point.

Hicks and Gillett were ****** awful.

Mingay is looking like an absolute beast. I'll be giving him plenty of first team football this season.
he played well last season in the games I gave him.

Simpson is away on loan at newly Promoted Reading as I felt her needed a season of first team football in the premier to really test out where he is at. The boy's got pace, no doubt about that but I'm not quite sure if he's ready for first team football with us yet.

Clifford reminds me of Joe Cole. Small but Brave and great Natural fitness. Great Technique, Agility and Balance.
He's get everything going for him and I'll be giving him some games but Patrick Roberts is ahead of him in the developmental que. Roberts had a great lone spell at Norwich; scoring 6 goals and making 9 assists in 38 games.

I immediately checked the transfer page to see if there was any interest in him.

View attachment 317596
I found this a bit perplexing. No one has expressed any interest in him and there
aren't even minor rumors flying about.

View attachment 317595
If there actually was an interest in him, I'd have been more flexable
but he's making demands while being in no place to make them. I'm
very annoyed with and have demoted him to the U21's to sulk to himself.

I took to the Transfer Market to source a new Left Back and I stumbled
across an old Liverpool play who I was quite fond of. Not the best Left
back available but he's a perfect complete wing back and available for
an extremely attract transfer value.

The Group Stage draw of the UEFA Champions League takes place today.
Europe's elite 32 teams compete for the worlds most coveted piece of
club silverware. Clubs spend millions to get here, others loose millions not
being here. The Champions League is a delicate balancing act, one clubs
must respect!

Quite annoyed about drawing my feeder club. Means that my loan players will miss
two games of Champions League football.
