Liverpool F.C. The 5 Year Plan.

I think potentially you have the hardest group there. I imagine you, Barcelona and Marseille to be very close to the top 2 and a poor result for any team could be costly due to a narrow point gap in my opinion

United twice in the space 2 weeks.

Drama, the way i like it. Scuffet making critical penalty save though he didn't have
an outstanding game. Mascherano got himself sent off though... very disappointing.

Origi is quickly making a name for himself as he yet again puts in a sensational
performance in a Liverpool shirt. I decided to start some of the youngsters agasint
newly promoted Nottingham Forrest. Jacobs, Mingay and Roberts.

Disappointed but hey, we'll move on! second game of the season and
at least I don't have the pressure of an unbeaten season to worry about :P

I'm looking forward to seeing how we hold up against them.

Tough group there! Could you screenshot your team? Tactic and 1st choice, interested to see how much rotation you can do with all the fixtures!

Also, Kolerov is a **** lol. Spurs a bigger team even though you have been winning things and getting an amazing league position!?

Same happens to me at United, people say Chelsea are a bigger team even though I win way more!?

Ive got to say well done on the way you dealt with kolerov, spurs aint a bigger club, all about the money lol.
Bargain signing of insua,
Did you consider or look at aaron cresswell? Big fan of his from his time at ipswich. Any chance of a ss see how he doing in game

Just read through everything and loving the story mate! Only getting FM 15 tomorrow but this has definitely got me excited, being a Liverpool fan myself (despite being in South Africa). Wish you all the luck for the future in this save.

A tough CL group but i am sure you will step up well! and good luck for the upcoming season

To be fiar, he's not wrong. Winning the Europa League must have given them the Rep' boost to overtake me.
Will post 1st team and tactics in next post so as not to clog up this one.

Like I said above, Kolarov are technically right, spurs are just about the bigger club. I've only had one season of Champions league football in about 8 years. My rep' has been badly affected.

Cresswell is at Stoke, 3 years left on his contract and valued at £6.5M so there'd be no way to pry him away cheaply

Cheers my friend. I'm loving FM15. It took me ages to get into FM14 and i frequently switched between FM13/14 for a month or two but I've been solidly addicted to this one.

A tough CL group but i am sure you will step up well! and good luck for the upcoming season

I'm looking forward to the challenge, should be a magical 6 games!

Classic Mascherano getting sent off in the Community Shield. He's like a pitbull at times!

First off, I don't believe in Home and Away tactics. I thin it's lazy and bad management.
Designing a tactic while only considering your own squad means you've ignored 50% of
the game: the Opposition.

Since I'm looking to play fast aggressive football, I've choose a defensive mentality
with offensive team Instructions. The Basic 4-5-1 shape is what I'm working with
since I play with a lot of creativity and flair up front, I need a holding midfielder to
compensate for attacking minded players further up the pitch.

I'm glad there's people other than me who don't set a 'home and away' tactic, really frustrates me when people do that!

Also do you use player instructions very much on FM15?

Looks like you have a strong squad, personally would like to see a stronger showing of english players, but as always they cost alot more then foreign

I do use PI's but I never post them since they are unique to each player.

I like to have a lot of native players myself in whatever team I'm playing with but I don't see the point in signing them for the sake of it. I've a lot of English younsters comming through. Mingay, Simpson and Clifford are my 3 players at the top of the developments que and all 3 are English :)

How has Max Meyer been for you? I've always found him to be very injury prone which constantly impacts his development.

Glad to hear it mate, i understand what you mean, quality over nationality, lets hope thise 3 are the forst of many quality english players to come through under your management,

I see him as one of those excellent squad rotation players. i don't think he's
got more than 40 games a season (all competitions) in him though. He's only had
one proper injury, which he got in his last season at Schalke, so his fitness has held up.

I tend to allow my academe to produce my English players, I don't like buying them.
Just my own style of playing.

Fantastic story mate, loving the details! Could you show Gerrard's staff attributes?

Cheers my friend. I warn you, his stats are woeful but he's got the entire
coaching ladder to climb so he'll only get better.

The sign of a great team is one that can win even when they're not playing well.

This was one of the worst performances I've ever seen yet will still scraped a win.
Romero missed a penalty but we still put 3 past a West Ham team that was playing well.
I'm quite proud of the boys, even if I'm still furious with the quality of play.

View attachment 317279Big disappointment. They equalized with their only shot on goal. But I'm proud of our on loan
striker who grabbed them the equalizer. I sent him there for Champions League football, I reep
what I sow!

Sterling made the difference here. Two great goals to cap of a decent outing.

31 shots: 2 goals. We could have, and probably should have scored more but off
target shots cost us a comfortable score line. We did hit the post 4 times though!

ANother clean sheet for Scuffet! He's done well taking over from Mignolet
with 4 Clean sheets in his first 9 games as the new #1.

Defensively we've looked really good. Only the 3-1 defeat at Old Trafford
is the only blemish to an otherwise sensational start to the season.
We sit top with a promising goal difference but I'm going to wait until
after Christmas before I set this seasons league target. But the longer
I stay top, the longer I intend to stay there.

Next 5 fixtures
