Not a bad idea, Blackpool got relegated to League 1 and now they're looking at dropping to League 2. I'll probably raid them in January for their players that wont sign new contracts.

Or to be honest, I'm hoping for a takeover where a Chairman will provide a massive cash injection haha

It was going great up until Christmas, I was 19 points clear at the top and Blackpool were around 17th if I recall correctly. Then my team decided to give up, loads of losses and draws. I regained 1st towards the end of the season until my team then decided they didn't want to turn up to the last 5 games and I just managed to scrape promotion to the Championship.

Now unless I get some money to spend or I can capture some free players, I'm going to seriously struggle in the Championship.

I haven't really played the game itself much, just tactic creation mostly :) So, others will have to help you with that :)
 
Just finished 10th place in 1st season in Skrill South with Gosport using V3 (media prediction 22nd). All Games started with Counter and changed to Attack either in halftime, if draw or loosing, or in 1st half right after 2nd conceded goal. And sometimes changed to Gung Ho if loosing with 2 goals difference after 60-70 minutes of the match. Must say: Gung Ho almost never works.
Not sure that this is te best tactics that can be in 14.3. Got a feeling that there's still room for improvement.
 
Taking a wee break from FM13 and trying MR L tactics.

Tweaked it slightly (shoot less often on some players, offside trap and/or dline change.. can't remember)

When I settled on this version I was mid season with Norwich and went 8 clean sheets in a row which with Norwich AND this **** ME is pretty good.

So started a first season game with Everton...

The counter V3 are doing quite a good job for me (Ajax) in Europe as well
 
On my Andorra save I have finally got two teams into the Champions League and both qualified for knock out rounds despite very tough groups.

Tactic at the bottom is the same tweak I posted earlier just with the MCs with shoot less often. Found them quite wasteful. If your MCs have good long shots then leave it.

No, home and away. Was just the name I gave it as I orginally only wanted a tweak for away games but it works just as well as home imo.

Hey W4NKER! Good to see you here again :) Seems like your tweak worked well for you. Gotta try it myself some day :) Your tweaks in fm13 were top notch :)
 
I can't seem to see where I'm going wrong with Blackpool, I was top of the league and had only lost 1 game up until Christmas, not won since then and I've dropped down to 13th.

It seems to happen on every save, any idea what the reason is?
