struggle to beat arsenal, man u, man city, chelsea and tottenham away RE-POSTED

Hi Mr Langvatn could you please assist.

I am playing with Liverpool and keep finishing 4th year after year purely because I can not beat the big boys away from home.

I am playing with a tweaked version of the 4-4-2 gung ho tactic (screen shots attached) which is pretty unbeatable home and away except when coming up against the big four or five in the Premiership AWAY. I get thrashed 5 or 6 - 0 usually. I need to at least draw with the big boys away so I can win my first premeirship.

How could I tweak this tactic for these important games against the big teams away from home? Basic tried and tested settings when approaching tough away games? This would help me in the champions league also.

Can you suggest one of your tactics I could use instead. I have tried the ROCK tactic with little success. I was thinking of the 442 angels v2 or a complete change of shape using the 2-5-3.

I think most of his tactics are as an alternative to the rock for people who want a change. If you can't get success out of the rock classic with Liverpool then I think you are going to struggle no matter what tactic you try, you should walk the league with a squad like Liverpool using the rock classic. You need to look at your squad motivation or what players you are choosing because I doubt very much it is the tactic that is at fault if you failed with the rock classic.

CM's should be strong workhorses (Lucas Leiva/Sandro etc...) Wingers can be regular wingers, but it's a bonus if they have good tackling/marking. And they aren't supporting the forward, it's the forward that's supporting them :P

Check out Lucas Leiva and Sandro. Try to get players similar to these. Strong workhorses really.

Sorry to say mate, but there are other issues to worry about if you can't make it work with the Rock. The 4-4-2 Gung Ho is not stable at all, that's why I removed it from the front page. You can try the 4-4-2 angels v2 of course, it's better than the old gung ho, but far from as good as the rock. the 2-5-3 is really good, but could take a while adjusting to new positions. Anyways, good luck, whatever choice you make :)
 
In the Queen's Gambit tactic, I have used the outer strikers from the 2-5-3 angels v2, with hug touchline, to make room for all three CM's attacking :) It really is beautiful in play :) Can't wait until this one is ready for release! I have a new tactic test method I'm using too, in order to control all the small details.
 
After having success with swansea I started a new save with Hyde in conference league. Tipped for the drop however made the playoffs and got promoted. 2nd season League 2 tipped for the drop survived on goal difference 3rd season won League 2 when again being tipped for the drop. May I say that you need a good striker that will guarantee u the goals as its solid from the back and goals win you games! Brilliant tactic have to say, the best ive used in fm13.
 
Am giving your 3-6-1 a go in the championship,using your rock classic as back up.

I wouldn't say one is the best one really. But the Rock Classic is the most approved one. However, I think I now have four tactics that are all extremely good. 4-1-4-1 Rock Classic, 2-5-3 Angels V2, 3-6-1 Sicilian Defense and now the 4-1-3-2 Queen's Gambit!

Sorry, but I'm always working in classic. Usually after a while, someone uploads a TC version though, and I can upload it to the front page. TC will not be as good as the classic one though, but pretty close, usually.
