I would not recommend using it domesticlly with atop team though as its an early beta of my older tactics. It grinds out resuts with underdogs and gets them to Europe but its not a tactic for a top team domesticlly ( but its works in CL )

Why not read the whole thread as see what tactics has got the best results. Like one tactic having won all 4 leagues using a X-formation, and that another tactic has won 2 and was runner up once using Y-formation etc etc

extremely done! I have been doing this since 2005, I never ran a tactic winning 4 different leagues IN A ROW! I was expecting (and hoping ) that steve's tactic would make yours sweat.. not that I really surprise though, you had some successes in my testing before, I forgot which FM version that was..

now sit aside, and let me check other tactics.. I will get back to you in the winners league.. ^^)

I don't know if this is greedy but my new tactic "XeNoN's 4-1-2-2-1 Barcelona" is in my opinion much better and more effective than my 4-2-3-1 Manchester United tactic that has been tested on this thread. If you've not decided which tactics you want to test in the next round, is it possible for you to put my other one in?

unfortunately, I have decided the tactics for the next round.. however, if you are sure that its better than the one I already tested feel free to give me the link.. you are qualified for the winners league, so I will run it there latter..

make sure its better though, because I'm really impressed with your first one.. its definitely in the top three in this testing.. your tactic lost when in played on chelsea, so far only Laffles' can make Chelsea won the league..

really? which tactic will you recommend for the big teams then? the one that I tested was not bad, check it; you win ALL trophies except the league.. one strange thing though, I think your tactic is making the squad injured.. in all the rounds, I never seen a team had longer injury list.. in some occasions, I dont even have enough subs.. I'm actually surprise you beat Xenon's chelsea (in champ lge semis) with that squad..

neway, I will run yours again in the winners league, so link me your big team tactic before I start ok..

while running this round, I'm currently planning to make some changes for the winners league.. after witnessing all these great tactics having no problem winning the leagues and the champ league, therefore I'm planning to run them on (only) slightly weaker teams.. still, I'm insist on not running them on weak/small teams.. it simply wont benefit me..

so, I was thinking plugging them on:
ENG: arsenal, man city, liverpool, tottenham
ITA: juventus, roma, palermo, fiorentina
SPA: atl.madrid, sevilla, villareal, valencia

atleast we will see how will they compete against the league's TOP TWO teams..

now, I just need you guys checking if these teams are the strongest (after excluding the top two teams).. I never play most of these teams.. e.g. wondering if I should choose udinese instead of palermo or fiorentina..

will appreciate any input..

A though: The player using Arsenal will have a huge advantage over those managing Spurs or Pool. In my opinion, The Gunners have the best team in the league as the times I have played as an underdog ( about 20 saves), Arsenal have fininshed higher then Utd and Chelsea in all my saves so far. Here, I would simply not use them at all

mate, I hope you dont use khedira as a dmc, as hes crucial, due to his ppm "runs forward whenever possible". with him, the tactic will never work!

I just wish this is what they do in real life.. will consider it.. I just dunno which team to replace them.. others may a bit too far from city, pool, and spurs..

sorry mate, just to make things un-biased, I always ask my ast.mngr to pick the team.. others may blame me of affecting the formation if I decide who play or not..
that is why I called it plug n play, to see if the tactic will adapt to any set of top players.. but I do register the 25 best players of each team to avoid my ast.mngr picking up weak players.. I also make sure they are not benching the team stars when they are fit.. or placing players on wrong positions..

your tactic is not doing bad, only lost againts raikan's barca and sahar's chelsea though..
but, i will inform you latter how many times khedira plays in that position..

I've really enjoyed this thread and I'm obviously delighted that my tactic has done so well.

What you could do though is Name the actual tactic you are using as i know a few of these guys have various tactics out and it would be simplier to search and try them if we knew what tactic was can as well as who created it.

not supprised about mr hough tactic i went full season only loosing 2 games once against arsenal 5-3 and one against madrid in champsleague group stage 2-1 still won everything, cant wait for his tactics in FM12!

I've been following this from the start, and congrats to Mr Hough, I haven't tried his tactic, but this just goes to show how solid it is.

I would like to mention Sahar's tactic though, he has won the last 2 rounds now, going for a third! It could be a real contender for Mr Hough's tactic.

I've been keenly following this and really impressed! Credit to a_ilfandy. I was wondering if it was possible to post Home/Away records. I've tried a couple of these tactics and it's away games that I fall down on, especially against big teams. I understand this may be an issue with my teamtalks and match prep. Maybe a home tactic and an away tactic would get success while maybe not being so predictable for the AI to pick up on.

I've checked it, khedira played 4 games so far (out of 19 games). results: 3-0-1. my ast.mgr prefers alonso and diarra on that position. your team is catching up well with Raikan's barca. you now leading by 3 points. now I know where all that confidence come from..

even though I now know this is crucial for your tactic, I still cant do anything about it. It wouldnt be fair if I particularly do specific instructions for your tactic, bcoz i dont do any for others'. again, this is why I call it plug n play, I leave almost everything in default. which is why several famous tactics have fallen. and I always remind the readers of this thread about this. I dont want to ruin their reputation.

earlier, I renamed the tactic as simple as possible (or in one word) to avoid me getting confused. most tactics (like yours ) got a very looooooooooong name. so thats why I rename them to its creator (e.g. raikan, steve) or its popular name (e.g. il devasto)

anyway, I'm always prepared to link the tactic to any reader who wants to know.

bcoz it really is great, it won SPA and ITA leagues before, now running like crazy with chelsea.. 13-1-1.. so far only Laffles managed to win the league with chelsea..
if it continue like this it will get its third league win.. and hunt Mr Awesome..

I thought you would read the startin posts and then use the terms, the creators of the tactics tell, like which match prep., team talks, opposition instructions and player types and so on... well, then its a bit up to luck, since you can never know whether there are going to be injury problems, or having a bad *** manager who cant motivate the team properly and so on. but usually, the more games I play, the better the results. this shows, that especially in this years fm, tactic doesnt really do the job on its own, but you also need to consider other aspects like motivation, morale, team talks, whether the team gels well and so on.

well, if I'm going to do the specific instructions of each tactic then I might be still in the 1st round..
I'm always be one of those who believe that the game can still be played lazily.. and I'm sure the previous rounds have proven so.. like I said, if these tactics give such result in plug n play, just imagine what kind of result we'll get by following their key instructions..
I'm more into finding the most independent and flexible tactics out there.. adapt to any big team in any big league and with minimum interference.. anyway, I give them huge advantage by plugging them into big teams with capable players.. if the tactic is good enough, it will do well with these teams..

Thoroughly enjoy looking over this thread.
Its a shame I lost out to Mr Hough but its not a bad complaint to lose out to a creator as good as him. Was a pity that my team lost ground in the second half of the season as I was doing well at the 22 game stage.
Theres always next year. Would have preferred my 4-2-3-1 being tested instead but happy with my performance
