Neymar 4 - 2 Aston Villa
Wigan were still continuing their good form, they slipped up against Birmingham but still managed to grab a point! They now faced Aston Villa for the first time this month, they were set to play another two times after this in the Carling Cup semi final. Wigan had Neymar and Rodallega in good form so far! This was set to be a good game as Villa look to still climb up the table!
Wigan 4 - 2 Aston Villa
Neymar (29, 31, 37, 65) - Gibson (24, 45)
What a fantastic game, Neymar the super star scored all four goals for Wigan as they dominated a poorly set Aston Villa side! Darron Gibson opened the scoreline as he scored in the 24th minute but Neymar only took 5 minutes after too put Wigan back on track! Then straight from kick off he nicked the ball and rounded Friedel to net the third goal of the game! And just 6minutes later he netted a superb 8minute hatrick to give Wigan a 3-1 lead! Darron Gibson on loan netted his second of the game just on the stroke of half time to put the scores to 3-2! Neymar came out blazing though as N'Zogbia assisted him for the second goal of the game to wrap up a comfortable 4-2 win after 65 minutes!

Wigan Beat Oldham In FA Cup Third Round!
After their brilliant run in the League of late Wigan will be keen on playing in the FA Cup as they welcomed Oldham to the DW Stadium! This should be an easy win on paper, but paper has never won a football match so anything could happen, and anything usually does happen!
Wigan 3 - 0 Oldham
Diame (13) Rodallega (24) Neymar (68)
Routine win for Wigan as they saw off Oldham. Wigan took the lead of Oldham after just 13 minutes when Diame returned to the action to net the first goal from within the 18yard box! Then just 11minutes later Wigan took full control as inform striker Rodallega found the net with a wonderful dipping shot! Oldham were in trouble early on! The third and final goal of the game came from the other inform young striker Neymar as his impressive Wigan form continued and he found the net outside the 18yard box from a free kick! Some Wigan fans would of been expecting a higher score but they are through to the next round and thats the main thing for Gary Neville's Men!

I don't like Aston Villa... especially because Young, Delfouneso and Agbonlahor... they are always everywhere! Hate them sooooo much!
Ah i don't mind Villa! good side but play them three times this month cant wait for the LC games!

Wigan were excited for their game! Carling Cup Semi Final against the Villa side they just put four past! Well the odds were on for Wigan to reach the final! But this was only the first leg as they still had to play the home leg! No one could expect what was going to happen!
Aston Villa 1 - 5 Wigan
Clark (19) - Neymar (12, 16, 57) S.Caldwell (66, 86)
Wigan were truley awesome and showed why they should be in the final! Their fine form really credited them as they took an astounding 5-1 victory into the second leg at home! Wigan were off to a flyer as Neymar opened the scored after 12 minutes and doubled the score after just 16 minutes! Clark pulled one back after a fury of 7minutes! so it was 2-1 after 19minutes! Half time approached and as second half began Neymar netted his hatrick in the 57th minute! And then there was a shocking double for Steven Caldwell as he netted in the 66th and 86th both from headers from corners! Wigan now looked set for the Carling Cup Final!

In the wake of their cup efforts just three days ago Wigan were set to face Chelsea in what was to be their hardest game in months! Following their excellent form as of late, Wigan would of thought they may be able to get a draw, Neville set his team up along the same lines he has for the past few weeks. But was it to work...
Chelsea 3 - 0 Wigan
G.Caldwell (Og.9) Alex (72) Drogba (76)
Wigan were undone by an incisive Chelsea who were one up after just 9minutes when Gary Caldwell put the ball past his own keeper in bizarre circumstances! Wigan tried to fight back and made some good attacking options before half time! Wigan hosted Wigan today following their slip up at Stamford Bridge, obviously they were always expected to lose their and Neville didn't seem to fussed when it happened. But he was eager to get his team back on track. Neville wanted a win so they could keep competing for the European spot as his side faced Fulham back at the DW Stadium.

An emphatic second leg saw seven different scorers in the seven goal thriller which Wigan lost but still managed to progress to the final! Wigan started the brighter side when Neymar found the net after 13minutes! But Agbonlahor leveled the scores just before the break and then in injury time Gary Caldwell put the ball past Al Habsi to give Villa the lead at half time! Steven Caldwell made up for his brothers mistake as he became the top scorer of the competition with another header after 57minuets. Faurlin then leveled the scores once more in the 77th minute from a corner before N'Zogbia's twisting run turned the Villa defence and found the net just one minute later! it was 3-3! But Cuellar netted from a header from a corner to give Wigans leaky defence yet another shock! But Wigan didn't mind the defeat too much, they were through as the aggregate score ended:

Start of the second half saw Drogba put Chelsea 1 up! But Kamara scored late on with 5minutes to go to send the game to extra time! Where Danny Murphy found the net with just 2minutes to go! Fulham were in the carling cup final!
