Right, I started it up, and made a few signings, and a large number of fringe players were allowed to leave, with everyone out of contract not having it renewed, as the only one I felt could still add something to the side, Sebastien Kehl, refused any negotiations. So here goes:
Gylfi Sigurdsson: AMC - £4.2m
Provides backup for Gotze in the AMC position in the 4-2-3-1 I like to play, as well as adding versatility, being able to play in MC and ST. I also felt £4.2m was a decent price.

Nathaniel Clyne: DRL - £1.2m
Provides cover in both full back positions, which I felt was important due to Omoyowela, or however you spell it, leaving. He still has plenty of improving to do, but coach reports indicate he can reach the level of a leading full back.

Ekain Eizmendi: DC - Loan, with £2m future fee
Felt we needed more cover at the back with only 3 recognised centre backs in the first team squad. He has the potential to be as good as Hummels and Subotic, but it is up to the next manager whether e becomes a permanent signing.

Robbie Cotton: MC - Free Transfer
Good youngster with lots of potential, who I feel could be sold on for a profit, even if he doesn't make the grade, although with 4* potential, he probably should.

Michael Ballack: MC - Free Transfer
Yes, I know, another centre midfielder, but the coaches rate him as the best at the club, and on £11.5k per week, I feel it is relatively risk free. I feel he replaces Kehl well, and is on considerably less wages.

These are in addition to Danny's signings (Reus, Bittencourt) and so left us with a large squad. Blaszczykowski joined Southampton for £2m, as well as a few others.

Ah right, fair enough, he was on £50k a week and I was never giving him that, so Ballack is a decent replacement I think
Just though I'd give a quick update on this. I've not been able to get on FM a huge amount over the last few days, so have only played 5 league games. In this, we've won both our home games, and drawn all three of our away games, which I've been a bit disappointed with. I also couldn't get us into the group stage of the CL, although we did get drawn against Inter Milan in the Play Off, but still, it was disappointing.
So yeah, sorry about that, still struggling to work out a tactic to fit Gylfi, Gotze and Reus as well

Can't wait to see how you got on, upload the save to a site like Mediafire. Send the file to smithc71 as I havent heard back from the guy who was supposed to take the spare place, and then parsfan can go last before the rotation
Alright mate, I've got one game to go so I'll finish it tonight, and drop an update to how I've done on here.
I have now PM'd the file to smithc71, so it is up to him when he starts it. I also apologise for the delays in finishing my stage.

That's about all I can think that you'd want to know, although I have made an £8.5m bid for Pastore, the asking price, and so it is up to smithc71 whether he wants to offer a contract etc. although that is a position we are quite well stocked in.

Jamo who have you signed, I noticed Gunter scored one of your goals, so assuming that is Chris Gunter you must have signed him.

I always like giving young players a chance to impress on Football Manager, experience with a mixture of youth is the way to do well on Football Manager in my opinion. Wow he must be pretty good then! Set his price to £10million to ward off interest!
