How do I know? Because I raised the bug issue myself. When you post in a constructive manner, you tend to get a good reply from them. If you are rude, you'll probably get ignored.

Well if you accuse SI of sabotage, you're highly likely to have your posts removed, and thats no real surprise. You couldnt get away with that in a shop, what makes you think you could do it just because you're on the internet?. Dunc on here works for SI. If you were to say that to him, he'd probably kick you from this forum, because frankly its incredibly rude, and attacks his integrity.

The funny thing is. They have repeatedly said they are fixing it in fact they are working on an update, but it wont be ready for the next few days at least, because he is getting it prepped for their internal testers to stress.

They have done about 6 or 7 clear updates on where the game is. They have an entire feedback thread on this. You cant miss it, its about 25 pages long.

Learn to play isn't mutually exclusive to having bugs tbh, I could say that to about 40% of the complaints on here.

There will always be bugs in games. Total war 2 has has 7 patches. SEVEN. Still got issues. Battlefield 4 is just a lolfest at launch. If things like that annoy, don't buy them at release.

Firstly, I wasnt rude, I simply raised the question and removing an entire thread because of my post, seems weird. You said you raised the issue yourself, so what was their answer? Because, honestly I still think they intentionally changed it, trying to temporary balance the game out. Hence me asking about it. Else its some coincidence. But nwm, lets not fight about it, im just looking forward to a game update. Ill keep my theory though :)

Not true. In fact one of the big difficulties was teaching the AI to pick the right roles and positions. People overplay the AI angle too much. This year its pretty good, but its no human.

There is no inherent ME knowledge by the AI. People need to get away from this angle. Now we can talk about bugs till kingdom come. But there is no super all knowing AI for us to blame our losses and hammerings on, sorry :D

It's never had an advantage, only thing that happens is each year they manage to close the gap vs humans a little more.

Where did I say the AI had any ME knowledge? Where did I blame the AI for any losses? All the moaning on here is about the state of the ME and it's admitted bugs. It's the ME, if I'm not mistaken, that processes the tactical input of both the human and AI team and therefore it's the ME to blame for the crazy matches we're seeing.
All I said was that I thought the AI would have a more complete understanding on how the tactics, player roles, instructions work as it is part of the game itself. I bow to your superior knowledge on that one!

I was talking in general! Everyone seems really tetchy of late. Starting to sound like real managers! But nah the AI doesn't have a more complete understand, well it has a good understand that will be better than some users, but not better than pretty competent ones. It's not going to constantly throw up some of the awful set ups we see posted some times, for example

If you question someone's integrity, you are being rude. And I very much doubt an entire thread was removed. Your post maybe, but not the thread. The answer was the one I gave you, shooting accuracy and choice is being looked at (among other issues I raised). Again no they didn't change it, that's not how they work they don't go round randomly nerfing things, the knocks on for doing that are huge. You can keep your theory, but its still wrong if I'm honest.

It seems like I'm hitting the woodwork 2 or 3 times in most matches, anybody else having this problem?

Hitting the posts is slightly high, but its not really a priority atm.

Not really a frustration, but long shoots and free kicks seem to work... against me!

Shooting from the line of the box as given some goals, the 1x1s are still bad, but playable, but getting Tevez scoring a goal from 30 meters its hard to get.

But i have to say that the defensive bugs work in both ways, just need to know how to take advantage of it :D

Just because I am curious: Is the full-backs weird defending and strikers not ever taking their chances considered a bug? Even though I agree that games will always have bugs etc. it seems weird to me that the before mentioned issues did not get picked up by any of the beta testers/internal stress testers etc. If it did it should have been fixed before release. Also, from those of you that have put into a lot more hours into this years edition than I have: does inside forwards tend to cut a lot less inside this year or is it just me?

With Regards and no offence meant.

Yeah, have been since day 1.

On fm13 I once hit the woodwork 6 times in one game and drew 0-0, I don't think I've hit it more than 3 times in a game in fm14 but it does seem to be most games the woodwork gets hit on more than one occasion.

Being picked up isn't the same as being fixed, beta testers don't fix bugs nor do they decide what gets fixed. So the issues might well have been seen before release, but require more time to be fixed.

I understand that the beta testers don't fix the issues, I am not an idiot. But if was the case that these problems were spotted before the game was released then I do think some of the moderators here should be more understanding of the frustrations of those who have paid money for a game that is somewhat broken at release. The argument that this has also been the case for other games is in my opinion a TERRIBLE argument and it is also ignoring the major reactions it got from the respective buyers/fanbases of those games. If the ambition is to release games who are not finished "because other games also had their flaws at release" I find that extremely disrespectful against the people who buy the game at release day or even worse: those that choose to pay even before the game is released believing they would actually be getting a finished game. If the faults were small bugs that would be hard to pick up even for a large group of testers I would be more understanding, but if the errors were well known before release I think SI are being unfair towards their customers.

Even though I do NOT support some of the more extreme reactions, being it personal attacks on moderators or statements like "SI ONLY WANTS TO MAKE MONEY, THEY ARE HORRIBLE" etc. , I am surprised over the lack of respect some of the moderators give the complaints on the forums and I fully understand why people don't find "they are working on it, no one has any idea of when it will be released" is not acceptable answer for the question "when will I get a functioning game?".

These are just some thoughts of mine. Finally I have to say that I like the game, and I do think you guys are doing your best. It just sucks that you have to wait two-three months before you can play a game that actually delivers on the promises from SI @ release.

This whole "strikers can't score" stuff isn't entirely accurate. My striker has put away 4 in 7 so far, and he's Marouane Chamakh.

Moderators here don't work for SI (on the whole), they're fans like you or I. It's not their job to justify SI's actions to you. Frankly, if you find it that 'disrespectful', then just don't buy the game. It's not like any of us didn't see this coming; it has happened with every FM game in the past half decade to varying degrees. It always happens. FM comes out flawed, gets fixed through patches, and ends up very good. Cycle starts again. And yeah, that doesn't make it okay, but it's not worth crying about it.

That large group of testers picked up countless more game-breaking bugs than the current ones. Just because these ones haven't been fixed yet doesn't mean they didn't pick up on them either.

Um... why?

None of us ******' know, do we?! What do you want the mods to say on here? They can't just lie and tell you a date to placate you. Nobody knows, so frankly I feel that's the ONLY acceptable answer.

Got instructions set to "Allow Wide Players To Swap", but I've never seen it happen. It was so simple in FM13!

Well, some of the moderators actually have connections with SI or work there, don' they? Dunc etc.? I am not saying its their job to justify it, but saying that people who complain are whiners is overstepping the mark in my opinion. There is a difference between being fans and fanboys, but maybe thats just me. Well, Target Men seem able to head the ball in the goal. But technical poachers seem unable to score atm. So it is at least somewhat accurate. I actually bought last years edition a couple of months after release and did not know that this happens each year. So next time I will spare my money for a couple of months at least. Not crying about it, but worth complaining? I think it is.

My biggest gripe is midfielders/strikers trying to score from 30+ yards when they have plenty of room to take a touch.

Second gripe is players waiting to receive a ball standing still only for a pressing opponent to nip in front of them. If only I could shout 'MAN ON' from the touchline to move them.

It seems like it's only some of the striker roles that have this compulsive long shot thing. I was using a false 9 and he would shoot almost as soon as he crossed the half-way line! I changed the false 9 to a DLF and hey presto, he can actually resist the urge to blast the ball (vaguely) goalwards! Seems like the false 9 role needs a bit of work.
