Needed Barcelona to at least draw with Juventus to have a chance of qualifying from the group stage, I beat Zenit 3-0 away with Celtic but Barca got beat 2-1 and Messi missed a penalty. :S
 
Now I'm not saying there's anything wrong with FM14 in general, or the ME in particular, but this is the first warm up match of my new save with the full release version. Come to your own conclusions!

That happens to me as well, live with that! Or, change tackle to hard. It also depends on the player, so if you want them to tackle, PPM them to dive to tackle or something like that.

You will get a lot more cards btw
 
hahaha... same **** different day? man this is quite f&*ked.. but then again, I think at least 50% of the guys here are reiterating this exact same thing.. hopefully this is fixed soon.

one new thing is.. I just Won the Capital One Cup.. and suddenly my ENTIRE list of player on Search Screen goes blank when I check "Unrealistic Transfers" .... my day has just gone from bad to worse ... lol
 
The Finishing on this game is just a joke. It's hilarious how the AI players can score, but my players miss glaring chances.

The first Beta was nearly there.. Why oh why did they feel the need to just mess up the game?
 
It dumbfounds me that a game is more playable in its BETA version than it is in the official release. A game should be good to go from the release date, but that's never the case with SI.

They release a broken game, which requires constant updates. The update will solve some problems, but it will create others, so the player is always left in limbo because some aspect of the game will always be broken.
 
I'd like to retract my earlier statement somewhat. After some tinkering last night I managed to get my season back on track.

The game does still seem to be quite borked when it comes to defending often allowing oppo players to waltz into the area but I'm sure this will be patched out.
 
Why the **** are the transfers and contracts still so broken?

-I'll have a player valued at 20m. A club will bid 6m and think it's acceptable.

-I'll bid 25m for an AI player valued at 18m and it'll be negotiated so I'm paying 80m up front with about 20m worth of add ons. Oh, and a 50% profit from his next fee.

- I'll have a bid accepted for a player who's on, say, 30k a week. He'll enter contract negotiations with me and will demand 250k and a 50k appearance fee along with a hefty goal bonus, loyalty fee, agent fee and unused sub fee. Oh, and lest we forget, the holy grail of greedy ******* contract negotiations; a nice, juicy 15% yearly wage rise.

Let's not even get into the defence parting like the Red Sea.

Typical SI. The useless dicks.
 
Possible (guessed) explanation: only three players have scored (Maher, Locadia, Matavz), yet the game ended 4-1. Feyenoords keeper with two own goals then?

/edit wait that makes no sense. So who's scored for Feyenoord then?
 
Josue scored an own goal for them and Bruma scored the own goal for me. Not sure why the Josue OG isn't showing on the timeline, weird one that.

i have put distribution to Daniel Agger and no matter what he just boots it out, it cost me a few matches in pre seasonb and just want him to obey my instructions!!!

is this a bug?

he has NO PPI's at all, the same thing happens when i play my sub goalie Antonio Adan

Problems I'm having, which I'm sure are echoed by others:

- No matter what team I am, I either can't get anyone interested in players I want to sell (even when I offer them for below their value) or I get joke bids of 1-2m for players that are worth much more.

- Defenders are unrealistically awful & always the worst rated after every match, especially fullbacks.

- Players seem to get unhappy way too easily. For example, I was trying out Juve and before I'd even played a single match, Pogba put in a transfer request because I wouldn't let him hold talks with PSG.
 
Just a quick question, which players can score from a penalty?

I think my Sunderland fellas need someone..... 5 penalties and, guess what, no goals
Craig Gardner and Ki Sung-Yeung should practice on that (19 and 18 rating)

I agree with the defenders, they are awful however what I done was set team to mark tightly and hassle opponents that seem to help a bit more.

The whole Pogba thing i can understand because its PSG, the french capital who have a **** loada money.

Jordan Henderson got unhappy because i said we could Qualify for Champions league lol so i undertstand

dont suppose you could help with my post just before can ya? about goalkeeper distribution?

i have the same issue, my gks (Keiren Westwood and Vito Mannone) are set to short passes and distribute to defender, but they just kick out wide to the opposite gk. No chance to get for my forwards. Even worse if they distribute to a opposite forward -.-
 
i have a really big problem with the game my nose hairs have gotten to long from playin fm13 i cant seem to reach my keyboard to play fm14 if anyone has a lawn mower they could lend me it would b much appreciated

I like the way my team keeps possession and creat chances, but how many they miss and that they can't score from penalties. The worst part are my GKs as posted above, the distribution doesn't work.

I am a little frustrate right now -.-
