Upset should happen in FM. However, it should look like these matches, not like the matches that we have 30-50 shots but the players shoot like amateurs.

I love Football Manager and I really don't rage at all, upsets happen and I can honestly laugh at most of them.

Worst is when I win vs Arsenal (away) with a clean sheet and 4 goals (they have been dominating the BPL for the last 2 seasons in my save). But then I would run into Bournemouth (away) use the same tactic, same lineup and I end up with 8 clear cut chances 5 of which end up on the bar/post and Sergio Asenjo (mediocre GK bought by Bournemouth in the first season) would make insane saves. Game would be 0-0 untill 75-80 minutes, Bournemouth turns on Overload get a single shot on target from 20+ meters out and it would be a goal. It just happens :D
Cost me the league aswell that game :D
 
Just needed 1 positive result from the last 3 games to finish 3rd. Drew against relegated everton, lost against fulham and arsenal...an improvement on any of those results would secure 3rd,maybe even second. Well I finished 4th and am now waiting to see whos gonna **** me over in the CL playoffs:(

Do anyone else's players just seem to head the ball straight to the opposition when under no pressure at all? My CMs do it constantly from opp goal kicks and balls from their defence, even when they have teammates in the open. It's something I'd be angry at a Sunday league player for, never mind premier league players. In many instances they could either bring the ball down or cushion it to a teammate, yet they feel the need to head it straight to an opposition player. So frustrating

2-0 win away, then lost the lead in under 30mins at home, typical. Some kid Zach Clough scored an extra time winner for us.

The team went on steroids in the CL, even beating Barca. Then you can see I'm 14th in the league in December. I really don't know what to make of it.
 
I play in the icelandic top division and find it frustration that at the end of every season almost all of my first team players have like 100 different clubs eager to sign them. The player wants to move, obviously, because they rather want to play for Mechelen or russian side Tom etc etc. I think that, because teams in other countries don't have real players they want to buy everything they can, even if that is a lot of icelandic players. i have to try find new players every season and thats bullshit! the club gets rich, but what good is money if you don't have players
 
Haven't read any earlier posts, but the amount of blocked shots in this game is just unreal, my god, I get like 20 a game.
 
I bought Zivkovic in the first season for Newcastle and part way through the season he asked for a new contract, I told him we would sort it out at the end of the season. End of the season I go to offer him a new contract and his agent tells me he won't enter into contract negotiations as he feels the squad doesn't match his potential, so I walk away.

Next thing he kicks up a stink about me walking away from the contract negotiations oO) ad now the rest of the squad are unhappy with me.

Stupid game.
 
Just lost a game 0-3, every goal came from a simple cross when I had a minimum of 3 men in the box compared to their lone striker. Honestly seems like my defenders can't deal with any sort of crosses that even League 2 defenders should deal with easily. I've tried all sorts to try and fix it (Having my wingers mark their wingers, playing narrower to have more bodies in the box) and nothing is working. I'm enjoying the game but this particular aspect is getting ridiculous now
 
I tried to let my director of football to handle the contract negotiations for the new players and holy **** was it a ******* mess. Signed a few young players all on super high wages and key player status. Can they improve this ******* aspect of the game because if not I don't really see the point of letting my staffs handle their ****. How am I supposed to delegate responsibilities when they are all so ******* incompetent?

This basically happens almost every ****** match. I got more than 30 shots yet the opponent only has 7 shots and look how many goals. I'm dominating the league so while I'm ****** it does not affect the position in the league but in the cup matches this happens and I lost. I would feel so much better if I lost without creating many chances.

EDIT: Freakin hate Bournemouth in this FM lol For some reason my Liverpool team have bad records against them

I meant the high amount of shots vs opponent scoring with almost every chance they got and in some cases, the only chance they got. I'm winning yes but it ****** me off because I'm trying to be the team with the best defense in the league and wanting to break records for the amount of goals scored. And annoyed me even more when I got knocked out of the cup by matches like this.
 
My main frustration is that trying to get the English regional leagues to work properly is taking so long that I still haven't had a chance to actually start the main game yet. And I'm still nowhere done either.
