You have such a spotless memory, mate. :D

It's so rare when it happens it burns as happy memories forever. I won't forget Emiliano Sala ever. Actually, there was another instance I didn't count in FM12 of Artem Dzyuba heading it backwards to a team mate. So make it four before Sala.

And there's where one PPM comes to be important to deal with that situation and get the striker who receives such balls not to lose it as much: plays with the back to goal. That is the solution to stop that thing. So yeah, call my frustration against my unwillingness to have that PPM for my strikers as when I had a striker I knew had it missed some good positions and through balls and I blamed it on that, though it could as well be his mediocre mental attributes. I should look to have some striker with that PPM with better mentals to remove that idea and stop getting annoyed at that.

Things like this can happen when your players become complacent. Handed the title to Bayern in my Dortmund save in the same fashion...

Aye, complacency is a thing, but it isn't an on/off switch that would cause you to suddenly not to even get a shot on target after a string of adverse performances. Plus his side is sitting mid-table, likely no big leading to complacency runs prior.

I'm more inclined to think that it was a combination of several things, but also the thing that will haunt these forums forever: Download tactics. 10 out 10 aren't even close to being balanced, they're trying to aggressively overload defenses (and in parts rely on the fact that contrary to myth, the AI isn't able to spot anything). This is the download recommended by yvek very briefly ago:

That's 3 players sitting up top for a start pretty much always. If he's in possession they do so. If he's without they do so too, which means he has but 7 players behind the ball whilst three of them pretty much park at the half way line eventually waiting for a clearance (and an opportunity to counter, something AI managers aren't able to "spot" either).

It's a very specialist thing that may face issues when facing certain formations, such as when the three forwards are actually marked out of the game rather than in this shot (overloading but two cbs) and can be overloaded on the flanks too if an AI manager aggressively pushes all his wide players up as it is a narrow formation with but the wide backs being wide players. Unless people finally wrap their head around the fact that AI managers have different preferences and line up differently, they will never be able to tell. It would take minutes to figure the most obvious and basic things out. Therefore I'm never going to recommend anybody to just download&plug&play ever.

Just lost the CL final to a 120th minute Toni Kroos 30 yarder. Raging isn't the word, honestly. Nearly broke the laptop.

You'll still quit the game if you weren't winning. For me, it's hard enough as it is

I haven't quit the game yet. I do tend to post less on fm base because the tactics section sint what it used to be and that's the main thing I enjoy about the game. The game is as hard as you make it.

31 matches into an EPL season, my club was sitting in 2nd place, just 3 points back of Man City. Match 32 against Man City: We conceded 4 goals in the first 10 minutes, all a bit flukey, with two deflections and one of those fantastically slow motion rebounds where every opponent reacts while your own goalkeeper and defenders stand still stunned. Then one of my players received a second yellow card for "ungentlemanly conduct" (he complained about a penalty appeal being turned down), and Man City added two more goals. 6-0 down at half time in the most important match of the year.

This game takes pride in kicking you when you're down.

Swanseas super keeper

So Lukas fabianski had the game of his life and they score 2 from 3. I thought being FM'd was an urban myth... but now............. now I believe

So, I was the coach of Southampton, first season finished 8th. Then second season, I got sacked 8 matches before the end of the season and I was 1st with 2 points ahead Chelsea. I also won the Capital One Cup and was in semi final of FA cup. Got sacked after a rich man bought a club and wanted to put another coach. I am disgusted, I am gonna join another BPL Club and destroy Southampton I think.

why oh why oh why do my players attempt rabona crosses instead of just cutting onto their strong foot (in my case IF so L on R and R on L) it just gives the defender a chance to close them. I have looked for an attempt less Rabona crosses button but alas I cannot find one. Is it a flair attribute thing? (also I may have spelt the type of cross wrong if so I apologise)

Flair does influence it, yes.

*mutters to himself* ****** flair players..... doing fancy creative stuff.. who do they think they are..

cheers

also how does a player with 9 pace and 10 acc beat a player with 14 acc 15 pace in a flat foot race for the ball?

Who knows? Without seeing what's going on, who can say?

I'm having enough difficulty signing foreign players in an FM world where Britain is still in the EU. How ****** difficult is it going to be in FM18?! Better start scouting the lower leagues.

Yes, me too - 8th with Saints in season one, sacked in season two when I had them 5th. And then the same thing happened at Everton when I had them top of the Championship in January with £44 million still in the transfer kitty! Hopefully, nobody wants to buy Sheffield Wednesday.

Top of the league clash? Piece of ******* mate..
Game against cannon fodder? Nahhh fam you ain't gettin it

Playing with cash strapped Mallorca, managed to get them back to the Liga BBVA after 2 seasons! Have Emenike, Leroy Fer and Jesus Navas on trial but can't offer them the 40k+ wages they want (Emenike was 78k). So I terminate their trials and they sign for average clubs for about 4-5k a week!!!!

Me too, I'm with Atletico, Koke is 34 and his contract (325K a week) just expired. I really like him and want to make him one-club man, so I offer him a new contract with 200K a week. He keeps refusing and asks for 325K a week, which I can't handle.

In July, he ends up signing for Vitesse with 75K a week. (H)
