Sorry, I didn't mean to come off as an ***. I just was trying to say that there's not much you can change tactics-wise to combat that. If your strikers have the keeper 1 on 1 and miss, what tactical setting could change that?

cheers pal n tactics wish god knows its just that this game is freakin addictive ive had every version and play everyday but no formation seems to really work? and i hate the formations where people are saying change it x amount of times per game? just when i fink a formation is the dogs balls the next season it falls to pieces?i like to try blend some youngster into my team but its impossible cos you have to always play full team or they eat you alive! cheers anyway all comments are usefull 1 way or the other

Still need someone to try this with middlesbrough ? was thinking of a new save havnt played for a bit now.

Hey Raikan, this tactic is great...I'm absolutely destroying weaker teams with this, but struggling against equal/better teams. I find I have to revert to a 4-3-3 when I play decent teams, otherwise my defence just gets torn apart - do you have any suggestions/adaptations to counter this?

Hey Raikan, first I must admit you did a very good job, this tactic is just awesome. I played with Shakhtar and Roma. Always dominating and scoring lots of goals. But now I decided to start a new game with Porto. I've been playing with Porto some time ago, with your Perfect 4-4-2 tactic and I was winning almost every game with 3 or 4 goals difference, most of them were scored by Hulk who was just awesome as a poacher, but now I am playing with your new 4-2-3-1 tactic and he is Inside forward and really underperforming. In 7 games just 2 goals and 1 assist with an average rating 7,26.

Here is SS of player instructions:

I don't know where is the problem, he should score goals and assist for fun. Any ideas?
hey mate, thank you and well done :) that is a bit strange as he is killing that position for me and everyone else who is using it :) try take long shots down halfway and try and make him target man ball to feet and see if that gets him involved more :) also, it takes a while for the team to gel to the new tactic, so hopefully it wont be long until he is banging them in :)

Thanks for this tactic.

Six seasons on I've managed to win the title with Boro. I think it might be possible to win the league with a europa league quality squad using this tactic.

well done mate, really glad it is working for you :)

Who is the playmaker and targetman set to?
no one in this tactic :)

Made a few tweaks (ticked off "play offside", ticked "counter attack" and move the slider for defensive line to Deep) and I have to say this tactic is working brilliantly in my PSG save. I was undefeated but getting a lot of draws 1-1, 2-2 or 1-0, 2-1 type wins. After having this tactic in my match prep for a couple weeks (still not fluid) I am dominating teams, 5-0, 4-0, 5-0 so far and Pastore is lighting it up in the AMC role along with Hazard in the AML position. Thanks a lot for this tactic, it is getting the best out of my team, something I was unable to do with the one I was working on.

Another thing I have to complement this tactic on is the output of tackles per game by my MC and back. I have never had anyone in the top 5 in tackles in my many saves, now I have 3 in both France and Europe.
congrats mate, good/clever tweaks you made there and glad to see they are working :)

keep us updated :)
really really like this tactics as it allows you to play wingers and a forward but the problem is my players miss loads of chances, i just played a cup tie against a lesser team and had 30-odd chances only 2 ccc and won 1 0 to a cheat header from a corner? and no i dunt want to win every game 5 0 but when ur star man as 10 chances and blasts the ball out of the ground then gets a 5.6 rating ? any ideas???????????????
change your striker mate. who is playing upfront? are you using the touchline shout work ball into box? this tactic has never produced wasteful long shots for me at all and I have/had Guarin,Hulk, James Rodriguez etc etc.. who love shooting from range.. try edit the PI's of the striker to suit your strikers attributes.. :)

MUFC used it with Borough and won the EPL :)

awesome mate, not sure why, I always have no problem against equal/better teams for some reason! beat Arsenal, Napoli, Atletico, Inter etc using it exactly as is..

who are you and who are you struggling against? what I can suggest is reverting to this tactic (set it up on Match prep as your 2nd tactic)

English Lower League

Hi all,

newby here, haven't played the game yet, first time back to Football/Champ Manager in about 8yrs... Have been reading the forum pages to try and adapt to the new styles/gameplay etc... I have downloaded this tactic and eagerly looking forward to using it. I read the entire thread, but found that majority of you are commenting on big name 'high cost' players like Hulk, Rooney etc... Was wondering what/who has had success with lesser known teams and players and what players you would recommend to use in the positions for these lower teams and importantly which players would be willing to go..... I'm looking to start off at Notts Forest, whom start with a mere pittance in 250k... but hope to raise funds in a 'fire sale'.

Raikan your like a god of the football underworld... i've just finished reading your 'staff picks thread' top stuff mate.

thanks in advance
Cheers
Pete

My situation would be more similar to yours. I am Cesena, started off in Serie B (this is FM10, btw) & after 3 seasons (IRL they did it in just 1, so I'd better not quit my day job ;) ) I got to Serie A. I'm currently in the off-season, but for the 2nd consecutive season I am one of the favorites for relegation. Also, some of my best young hot-shots were noticed & enticed by bigger clubs after last season, so they demanded to be sold. So - lots of new faces & a very tough situation. This type of scenario is a far better best of tactics than someone using Man U, Barca, etc. I'm almost ready to start Season 5 for me, so I'll advise how things go...

for lower league teams I suggest the following:

1) use this tactic instead of this one...
http://www.fm-base.co.uk/forum/foot...ng/65421-raikan007s-perfect-4-3-3-tactic.html

2) drop the Amc to Dm and set as defensive mid - defend or anchor man and change the PI's or set his entire PI's to default

3) play deeper and play on the counter and set strategy to Defend or counter

4) set philosphy to balanced instead of fluid for the 1st season of playing in the top levels

Im with Lille (3rd season) - as i said, against weaker teams I dominate and i have by far the best goal difference in the league. But against Bordeaux (weaker) i struggled to a 1-1 draw, against Bayern Munich in the CL i struggled for a 0-0 at home, and I got owned 3-0 by Lyon, where Lisandro cut me apart. I know i could revert to a 4-3-3 in these games but it seems stupid as I shouldn't go all defensive but playing a challenging team. It just feels my defence gets carved open far to easily by fast strikers/wingers, and my defenders aren't slow (Theophile-Catherine/Chedjou/Rami/Debuchy)

that is so strange, I have played against Messi, Ronaldo, Lavezzi, Aguero, Van Persie, Eto'o, Walcott etc with this tactic and I have beaten them all! 3:1 or 1:0 etc...

why not change some of the tactical sliders instead of the tactic itself? play on the counter, play deeper and quicker etc?

I found in France especially where their is a lot of quick wingers and strikers that setting your dline to deep works wonders. Dont go all the way on the slider but just to the first notch off of "Normal" to "Deep". This allows your dline to still play somewhat high but you will notice that players will not be getting behind them. Ticking off the "Play Offside" will help this as well and maybe have your ball winning DMC set to play a bit more defensively so you have someone in that gap. If you still have Hazard kicking around then have him set playing forward on defending corners and have "counter attacking" ticked, he is brilliant here. Not only for setting up your striker who should also be set as "Forward" but for taking the ball the whole way and scoring.

For me anyways, dominating in France. Ganso set as an Advanced Playmaker in the AMC role has outshone Javier Pastore as an Attacking Mid in that role. Hazard is averaging over an 8 in the league and is my best player on the left. Menez/Nene are doing well splitting time on the right. I am conceding quite a bit on corners and set pieces. My defense is not elite but I am trying to figure out how to fix that. Also tweaking some things to start scoring more on corners as I only have about 5 goals on corners after 28 games. Other then that the tactic is still working brilliant with a few changes to fit my team.

I won the Championship with Ipswich Town using this tactic, it is brilliant in attack but a little dodgy at the back but that might be because of my awful defense lol.

hhaha, nice bigjim, not sure why some are having troubles at the back though. as you said, must be the quality of your defenders that are letting you down, definately try and rectify that come EPL kickoff and I suggest taking the AMC and putting him as a DM instead and play on the counter and balanced philosophy, even defend or standard...

you need to change it a bit :) or you can go balls to the wall with it and see how you come up against the bigger teams :)
good luck and well done mate!

Just played my opening game away at Everton, left it attacking and left the AMC in & picked up a 2-0 win with the AMC (Emmanuel-Thomas) playing a starring role lol. This has got to be the best tactic for the 11.3 update around.
