I've managed the contracts reasonably well. Put my entire transfer budget into wages and have still fallen into the red.
 
How big was your transfer budget? Because I got only like 40k after promotion.

Goalkeepers

Much like last year, young Adan will play understudy to Quintana and will likely only be call upon when needed. He's a good prospect for the future but doesn't really have the quality for us at the moment.




Defence

The only change in our back four this year will be new signing Satrustegui coming in for the now departed Sergio Diaz. Hector Ladero and Jose Pardo will continue their fine partnership in the centre with David Fernandez on the right.



Midfield

We're well covered in midfield. Hector Simon, when fit, and Jon Erice keep their places as our two central midfielders. Salva and Ivan Rubio have proven more than adequate cover. Further forward our first choice three will remain as Susaeta, Josep Sene and Eneko. Annunziata had a really poor season but has shown glimpses of his true quality in pre-season. Youssef El Amrani has been promoted from the youth squad and will provide cover for Josep Sene.



Attack

We're a bit short here. The two youngsters were promoted to the first team this summer and will provide cover for the main man, Diego Cervero. It's a bit of a gamble going into the season like this but I have to hope Diego stays fit. Some of our midfielders can also play up front so I think we'll be okay.





Season Preview

A deliberately difficult pre-season as yielded some decent performances but some poor results. The squad had less than a month off as our play-off adventure went well into late June. We start this season with basically the same squad that got us promoted last year. I didn't exactly strengthen as much as I wanted to but after extending contracts for the current players, I didn't have the funding to do it.
The targets for this season are very simple, to stay in the division. It's a massive step up in quality and we'll face the likes of Espanyol, Osasuna and Valladolid who were relegated from La Liga last year.
I think we have what it takes but we'll have to see how it goes. We start the season with a very tough away trip to Espanyol.​

August Review

After two defeats, the brilliant win away to Mallorca was much needed. We played very well against Espanyol and deserved far more. The Eibar performance was very poor but we made up for it against Mallorca. Every point we can get is important so I'm pleased to have three on the board already.​

September Review

A decent month with only one league defeat. We finish the month in 13th place which I am very happy with. We welcome two new players to the club after the board agreed to extend our wage budget. Inigo Diaz de Cerio has come in to provide experienced cover for Diego Cervero. I felt we were lacking a bit of quality in the middle and Victor Andres, someone we looked at in the summer, was available for free. He can play in a number of roles through the middle and I will assess his performances to see if he merits a starting place.​

October Review

A poor month in terms of results but our performances have been pretty good generally. We were unlucky not to win away to Recreativo and the Valladolid defeat was practically robbery. We dominated for 75 minutes and somehow lost the game. We are in an okay position in the league and have every chance of building on our decent start to the season.

November Review

A pretty decent month after our little slump. We really should have kept the lead against Real Union but these things happen. We've had some decent results recently that we can build on heading towards the second half of the season.

December Review

A good month with two games won out of three. The late defeat against Numancia was disappointing but we cannot complain about our league position at the moment. We are performing well beyond expectation and I hope we can keep it up heading into the new year.​

I am pleased to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Cristian Ceballos on a free transfer. We've been tracking Cristian for some time now and didn't plan to make a move until the summer. We heard of interest from Tenerife and decided to act swiftly. Cristian began his career at Barcelona before moving at a young age to Tottenham.

January Review

A disappointing month without a win but we've played some very good teams so it was half expected. We were very unlucky not to win away at Eibar after a brilliant performance. We're just a few decent results away from moving up the table and just need to keep playing how we are. I didn't expect to make any signings this month but couldn't afford to miss out on Ceballos. Biel Ribas was a real bargain on the free transfer list and has been thrown straight into the starting lineup. He's done well so far and could very well be our goalkeeper for a few more seasons yet. Josep Sene will likely miss the next month after picking up an injury against Eibar.​

February Review

A slightly better month but we really need to be finding ways to win when we are drawing. The late dropped points to Gimnastic were completely ridiculous. They probably deserved it on the balance of the whole 90 minutes but to be 2-0 up in the 89th minute and draw is truly awful. We're heading back in the right direction though so that's encouraging.​

March Review

After a worrying start to the month, the players have responded brilliantly with two excellent wins. We may be in 16th place but we are as close to the play-offs as we are relegation. A big congratulations to Inigo Diaz de Cerio who replaced the suspended Diego Cervero against Deportivo and performed magnificently. He then rounded off the month with the late winner against Recreativo. Inigo is, unfortunately, hoping to leave in the summer. We won't stand in his way as he is someone who deserves more playing time than he is getting with us.​

April Review

A pretty poor month overall. Morale is low after the poor performances against Barca B and Hercules. I think we're pretty safe from relegation with just six games to go. That was our target at the start of the season so I'm pretty pleased. The main aim now is to try and finish as high as possible and to try and get some decent results as the season draws to a close.​

May Review

A month that had everything. Two great wins, two poor defeats and a crazy draw at the end. We thought we'd won it late with Cristian Ceballos' first goal for the club but it wasn't to be. The overall second half performance in that match was superb, though. We head into June with just the one game remaining and our status as a Liga Adelante club secured for another year.​

End of Season Review

A solid season in Liga Adelante as we finish up in 14th place. We were never really in danger of relegation but also never really threatened the teams above us. It's set a good foundation for next season in which I am keen to improve in any way possible. We suffered a few injuries towards the end of the season which unsettled our rhythm slightly. Overall, I'm pleased.

Player of the Season



Nestor Susaeta

No doubt about this one. Nestor has contributed 15 goals and 9 assists and, much like last season, was key to our attacking play. Even when having a bad day by his own standards, he's a player I am always reluctant to substitute.



Hector Simon

An understated link between our defence and attack. Was unlucky to miss a large chunk of the season due to injury was was very much missed.



Diego Cervero

It was impossible to improve on his season last time around but did well at this higher level. Had a bad patch a few months back but still notched up 15 goals and 8 assists.

Outgoing Transfers

Young goalkeeper Adan was released after failing to get anywhere near the first team. Centre-back Javi Hernandez was also released after seeing his first team opportunities limited. Left-back Sergio Rodriguez has joined Murcia. Ivan Rubio has joined Real Union following a frustrating season. Inigo Diaz de Cerio has joined Numancia after expressing a desire to move. Winger Xavier Annunziata is our highest profile departure. Xavier has joined Zaragoza after failing to impress in my two seasons so far. Juan Steven, Salvador Nunez and Julio will all spend the season out on loan.

Biel Ribas will continue as our number one. Biel has impressed since joining us in January. Quintana is a very able back-up but will most likely be playing his last season for us.


Defence

Our back four will most likely remain as it was. Jose Pardo and Hector Ladero will continue their excellent partnership in the middle. David Fernandez will continue at right-back and, after an impressive first season, Eneko Satrustegui will play on the left. New signing Roger Riera is seen as a future first team player and impressed during pre-season. Javi Ramos has joined us with a bit more experience and can cover at left-back.


Midfield

Attack

Diego Cervero will retain his starting position but will need to up his game if he is to keep Diego Suarez out of the team. Suarez has impressed me greatly in pre-season and has all the attributes to be a fine successor to Cervero's throne. This may come sooner rather than later.





Season Preview

Pre-Season went as expected. Some tough games against strong opposition and some dominating performances against the weaker sides. The whole squad are fully fit and look ready for the new season. At this point, my targets are simply for any improvement on last year. A top-half finish would be excellent, anything more would be a serious over-achievement. We know the difficulties of this league now and this year is no different. I'm pleased with the squad we have and feel we can achieve our goals.​

brilliant read mate keep it up I did the same with Racing Sanatander. Got them to LA Liga then it went horribly wrong
