Wigan 1-1 Tranmere

A very good way to start the season. A valuable point against a good Wigan side. We did well to take the lead and played fairly well from there. A few mistakes in the back eventually led to a Wigan equaliser with 16minutes left. I'm very happy with the performance.
Brighton 1-1 Tranmere

A match we fairly dominated and should of won , but we weren't able to hold onto our half time led , which we got through a screamer from Zeca. A lapse in concentration in defence let Ronald Huth through to score a tap in and we didn't really pick it up after that.
Huddersfield 2-1 Tranmere

I was really looking forward to this game. All i wanted was a good performance and that's exactly what i got. Of course we lost , but i'm not really bothered about that , Huddersfield are a good side. We took the game by the throat in the first half , going in level thanks too Fraser McCarthy who has improved quite alot this season. Unfortunately we couldn't hold out for long and they took the lead early in the second half.

What a brilliant way to bounce back! Tremendous performance against a much bigger Middlesbrough side. We were scraping for possession at times , but once we got hold of it , we punished the oppoition! A hattrick for Thomas Reilly makes him the the cream of the crop. Fans were jubilant after this victory!

In truth it was a poor performance , we created quite a few chances but lacked composure in front of goal , something we worked hard at over the pre-season. Hull were too powerful too break down , althought their league position doesn't reflect on their performance , could mean the turn of form for them.

A fairly good start to the Championship 1 win , a fantastic one at that. 2 decent draws and 2 loses. I'm happy with this start and we're sitting comfortably away from the bottom 4 for now. No doubt the fans will be delighted with it!

Not a great start to this month. We were a bit complacent and weren't concentrating in defence. We managed to create a good handful of chances but couldn't make them count , missing McCarthy in front of goal through injury.

We totally dominated this match against a really good Newcastle team. Only the one goal seperated us , quite a nice goal too beating two of my defenders and slamming a 20 yarder to the bottom corner. Again, we had our fair share of chances , but couldn't make them count.

A very good performance , overall i'm pleased with the way the team played. Kept possession well and most importantly looked dangerous in front of goal. McCarthy marks his return to the first team with a nice goal on the last minute of Normal time.

Barnsley , we were unlucky and didn't deserve to lose by that many goals. We're sitting in a nice position not too far off the play-offs , but lets not get ahead of ourselves

Seventh heaven for the boys in this fixture. Totally outclassed the opposition in their own homeground and adds to our good start to the WC Qualifiers. Hope to see more of this in the games to come!

Jamaica proved to be a tough opposition in this fixture. Strong at the back and very hard to break down. Junior Hoilett picked up and injury and didn't feature but will be back for the next international fixture i hope! He's been the focal point of the team this year!

A really good result against promotion favourites Southampton. It was a very even match and kind of cancelled each other out , that was until young McCarthy tapped one in just before half time and then against 25 minutes into the second half.
Sheff Utd 1-1 Tranmere

A match where we were unlucky not to win. an early red card made it a very difficult task for us , and if we had that extra man it could of meant all 3 points. We did well to take the lead and we piled the pressure on The Blades but they got us back with a nice counter-attack.

A really entertaining match. I was slightly annoyed at losing yet another 2 goal lead and eventually drawing the match , we get a bit complacent in the second half of matches like this. Still i'm happy as long as we play well and look competitive , and that we did.

A tremendous attacking performance. We looked really dangerous in the opposition's half and it was like a training session for us , we were clearly the dominating force. Curacao only managed to challenge our keeper once and that led to the goal. Hoilett makes his return to Internation duty we a goal and two assists!

A respectable result against a superior team and the performance wasn't too bad either. Not much too note here. We played well against Sunderland and showed glimpses of class but couldn't managed to upstage the Black Cats.

Really really annoyed at the last minute goal which ensured Norwich a point. This is the first time we played our former parent club in a competitive game for quite a few years and was looking forward to a win. McCarthy and Watt linked up well on a few occasions and got the goals for us today.

Wow , just wow. The scoreline didn't reflect on our performance at all. Our defence looked a bit shakey and our goalkeeper had a woeful day but still i'm not happy with a heavy scoreline like that against a team we should be competing with.

A fairly decent performance. It was an even match , the difference being we took our chances and Peterborough didn’t. I didn’t want to field a full strength team incase a few got injured. We can look forward to the next round against Aston Villa now. Debutant Oriol Fernández scored a screamer from 30yards , not a bad way to start his Career at Tranmere.

Although a heavy scoreline , we played fairly well to say the least. The midfield caused a lot of problems for The Villains and were unluck not to have hit the net a few times. A red card didn’t help our cause either and really effected the outcome of the game.

Due to the midweek game at Villa Park i had no choice but to send out the second string team again. A good result , Barnsley are atough side and i’m glad to steal 2 points of them. We didn’t really deserve it to be fair , Barnsley played a lot better and caused us a lot of problems for us.

A thumping from Middlesbrough was really dissappoint but i’m not too bothered about the result at Villa Park.
Transfers:
I only signed one player in the Transfer window and that was a Loan from Tottenham on Explosive young Striker Oril Fernandez who is providing good cover for Fraser McCarthy who is injured at the minute. It was a fee-less transfer thanks to the affiliation with the club.

I only signed one player in the Transfer window and that was a Loan from Tottenham on Explosive young Striker Oril Fernandez who is providing good cover for Fraser McCarthy who is injured at the minute. It was a fee-less transfer thanks to the affiliation with the club.
