It was a very memorable day for Rushden's fans as their team recorded a 3-0 deserved win over Everton at Rushden Stadium. Rushden & Diamonds were unable to notch a 2nd straight win after they could only managed a draw against bottom of the table side, Bolton. Aston Villa became Rushden's latest victim as they were beaten 3-0 by Rossi's side. The final fixture of the month was against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light but Rushden & Diamonds were unable to maintain their unbeaten record as they eventually lost 2-3 to the Black Cats.

Rushden & Diamonds were dumped out of the league cup quarterfinals after losing 1-2 at Stoke. There was something to cheer about in the next match as a double strike by Larrivey handed Rushden a 3-1 win over Hull City.

The most shocking moment came when a resilient Rushden side beat Chelsea 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. It was one of the best result ever recorded for Valentino Rossi's side. Following that, The Diamonds could only managed a draw against West Ham at home.

A solitary Ruben Rochina strike gave Rushden & Diamonds a narrow win over Tottenham at White Hart Lane. The home side dominated throughout the match but The Diamonds managed to hold on to their lead till the final whistle was blown. Leeds United were powerless to prevent a superior Rushden team from beating them comfortably 5-2 at Elland Road. Last but not least, Rossi's side had to travel to Man City but they eventually lost the match 2-0.

Richard Smallwood, Bartosz Salamon and Vagner Love all decided to join The Diamonds revolution and a late bid made by Valentino Rossi for Mattia Destro was successfully accepted and the former Levante striker arrived just a few days before the transfer window closed.

Erton Fejzullahu did not get many chances to prove himself and so was sold to Newcastle United. Injury prone Victor Anichebe also left the club for Catania Calcio. The last player to leave the Rushden Stadium during this transfer window was Joaquin Larrivey who made a switch to Villa Park.

A lot of signings mate!

They are good though. Rushden world domination? :D

Love it. Keep up the amazing work. (K)

Plymouth travelled to Rushden for the FA Cup 4th round replay knowing that they had a slim chance of going through the next round. The Diamonds did not disappoint their home crowd as they came out victorious by a scoreline of 3-1. Back to the league, Rossi's side had to play Leicester in the next match and a double by Vagner Love and a strike by Destro did the damage to the home team.

Rushden & Diamonds notched another comfortable win as they beat Southampton by 2-0 in the league match. Next up, Rushden had to face Sunderland in the 5th round of the FA Cup but both sides could only settled with a draw and had to meet once again at the Rushden Stadium.

A superior Arsenal side welcomed Rushden & Diamonds to Emirates Stadium and the home team could only record a narrow 2-1 win over their opponents. In the 5th round replay of the FA Cup, Rossi's side needed a late equaliser by Snodgrass to bring the match to penalty shootouts. It's the home side who came out top eventually and will face West Brom in the 6th round. In the last fixture of the month, The Diamonds welcomed The Red Devils in the league match but both sides could not find the net till the final whistle.
