Site Improvements Suggestions

Hey Sean, will there be a way to see if blogs have been updated like a recent blog list maybe or would you have to go to the person's profile?

We really need to approve kit request threads becuse people are making 1-2 kits and deciding there ready to make kits for them also we should have a special colour of the best GFX makers so they can teach newbies how to do as they do.

Have you thought of making an FM-Base app? Extra source of income for the site, and you could become a premium member with you ITunes credit. I'd buy it at 59p, and I'm pretty sure quite a few people would,

I am sure this would never be implemented, mainly because we are not a massive 'graphics' site, although its a section we do cater for, and have a pair of specific moderators for that section, who should be able to help people out and point them towards the better people to help them.

If you want a different coloured name, donate.

I don't see the problem with the amount of kit request threads, I mean, looking at it, I haven't seen one in my recent threads in ages.

Also, props on the new design Sean, looks really swish.

It might have already been suggested but, I think a public kit request thread would be good. So anyone can request kits and anyone can make them. It might reduce the number of threads being opened in that section.

Still very expensive though...£11 for a mug is far too much to ask anyone to pay for 1 mug in my opinion.

the shirts and tshirts on that site look pretty good value, not sure if anyone would wear them mind. ive seen a forum that had a well run 'shop' on the cafepress website, and it looked to run ok.

That kind of happened with the logos, and I was the only person who ended up doing them, which to be honest, wasn't the point of the thread.

I mean, not to be rude, but why do you want to reduce the amount of threads in that section? surely there can't be many more types of threads in the 'kits' section?

Well, to be fair, logo creation is a bit more specialised than kit making since we have templates. I think it would do quite well since knocking up a good looking kit doesn't take that long.

I meant in terms of activity. There must only be a dozen or so kit request threads that are active, the rest just sit there. People open a thread without knowing how much time it will actually take them to make all of those requests.

What's the problem with them sitting there? Maybe someone will come back to them after a break or something? I think that thread would be a good idea, but to stop other people posting their own specialist threads would be wrong, as sometimes I guess ****** people would make people ****** kits on the public thread, so people should be able to ask for the person they want to make it, rather than get it made for them by someone with no eyes and who uses paint.

Lol. Yeah I guess so. They can always request someone else make it if they don't like it. Especially if it was made by the chap with no eyes. Or as you say, request they be made by someone specifically.
