League Game 21 (@ Deportivo 0-3): It looks as if the bench players are angry they are not getting more playing time or something, cause they are not doing much of anything when they are out there. Second straight game where they lost by three. At least this game wasn’t at home. Coach Ryan was resting up starters so they could be fully ready for Real Madrid, but maybe they should just be starting now every game despite resting for big games on the schedule.

View attachment 125581

League Game 22 (vs. Real Madrid 4-3): “Another penalty we missed?” a puzzled Ryan said after the game. He doesn’t know what is going on with his team, but at least this time it didn’t cost his team any points as they were still able to win. While ex-Madird Vera missed a PK shot another ex-Madrid player would take over. Benzema (5, 6) coming back from injury found the next twice which his second one would be off of a crossing header to give us the lead. Galarza (5) decided not to try to set up a goal for someone on a free kick as he just blasted it around the wall and into the net. Last was Simao (1) had all the time from the top of the box with those two strikers up front so when he got it had time to settle it and just pick his poison for the shot.

View attachment 125582

League Game 23 (@ Villarreal 4-1): Looks like those huge losses to underdogs has gotten the players to focus and fast. They beat Real Madrid twice and by four last game and now we score another four goals this game against a struggling Villarreal team. Benzema (7) would open up the scoring in the six minute. We would go up another goal before they scored by Vera. Second half it was all Vera (12, 13, 14) has he would score two more goals for his hat trick.

View attachment 125583

Champions Cup 1st Knockout Round Leg 1 (@ FC Bayern 3-2): We would give up two quick goals in the first ten minutes of this game even if one was a penalty shot. We would be down before and this team has relesence so we would tie it up before half time with goals from Vela (2) and Benzema (5). Second half we went into a shell to try to keep it tied to go home, but they would get rebound shot which Eduardo would block again, but the second rebound shot fell right to a player and he couldn’t get up to block the third shot as we fell in this game. “We are only down by one, and we have to play at home. We score more at home than away so I if we just play our game we should do fine.” said coach Ryan.

View attachment 125584

League Game 24 (vs. Getafe 1-1): So much for scoring goals at home. Coach Ryan would leave the majority of his starters in and they were tired from the Champs game. It shown as they couldn’t get started until the second half we were would finally score by Vela (1) in where he finally got a cross to him to head home. Still that goal would tie up the game since we gave up a goal in the first half and that is how it would end. Now the question becomes, “Who to start after a Champs Game or before an important League Game?

Another four million loss. Hopefully we can get out of the group stages to clear the losses for next month. Plus we are back in fourth place which is good and hopefully can move up to three, but if not we should be fine with fourth place this year.

League Game 25 (vs. Espanyol 4-1): Again against a better team at home the goals come out and we get the win. “This was huge for our team. First the win and getting three points. After failing to get the three last game we needed this to stay in fourth place. Secondly Sanogo broke his scoreless streak and finally got some players morale up since the beginning of the season like Eduardo.” a happy coach Ryan as he responded in the press conference. Sanogo (7, 8) and Vera (15, 16) both had two goals today and are showing dominance.

View attachment 125588

League Game 26 (@ Celta 4-2): This was a very weird game for us. First we finally got some scoring from our defense as Georges (2, 3) scored twice, and both off corners and it wasn’t headers. The first corner was headed and blocked and the rebound hit in right in the feet for the put back. Next he tried to head it and it was blocked, but he was right there for the tap in as the goalie already dove. Still scoring he would pick up a red card for trying to jump over someone’s back on another corner. They would find two goals and it was the first goal for one of those players. Still O’Brien (7, 8) would score two himself on counters to give us the win in a nervous fashion.

View attachment 125589

League Game 27 (@ Mallorca 4-3): A scare on the road for us. Traveling to take on the worst team in the league and they almost came out with a point. We would be leading at half with a 3-2 lead on goals from Ream (1), Benzema (8), and a penalty shot by Vera (17, 18). After they would tie it up Vera would score his second goal in the game to give us the narrow win. “I think a loss here and the season would have been over for us. I think morale would of dipped we wouldn’t have any fire anymore.” said a thankful coach Ryan after the game.

View attachment 125590

Champions Cup 1st Knockout Round Leg 2 (vs. FC Bayern 3-0): All we needed was one goal. We would get that from an own goal by them for the win and advancement into the quarter finals. Still we wouldn’t settle for just the one goal as Song (1) and Sanogo (4) would score to make sure we go into the next round.

View attachment 125591

League Game 28 (@ Real Sociedad 1-1): Nothing seemed to go right in this game. We would dominate the whole game, but they would score first. Luckily Benzema (8) took advantage of them celebrating the goal and ran through the whole defense on the kick-off and scored a goal to tie the game up. That would be the only bright spot in a horrible game that keeps us in fourth place.

View attachment 125592

League Game 29 (v Athletic 2-1): This looked as if it was going to be a tie, but a penalty shot would be the one that decided it and it would be the first goal of the game. Vera (19) getting so close to another 20 goals in the league. Georges (4) would get another goal from a set piece, but it wouldn’t be from a corner.

We lost all the money we got from Champs league cause of the contract extension. Its fine cause it is worth it.

CONTRACT EXTENSIONS

View attachment 125594

It would be the first time that a player would get a extension in the middle of a season under coach Ryan. Can’t really go wrong with someone like Vera who is the clubs leading scoring and is dominating this season as well. At least both sides will be happy. He did get 1.7 million bonus for making team of the year, but for being so high his salary went from 175K a week to just 80K so in the end we save some money.

League Game 30 (vs. Valladolid 1-2): “This lost might of cost us third place. Its fine since we still holding on to fourth place, but would like to finish in the top three.” said a disappointed coach Ryan in a lost that saw them outplay their opponents and picked up a red card. We had a bunch of good looks, but only one goal and it was by Georges (5) who would finally score from a header on a corner.

View attachment 125734

Champions Cup Quarter Final Leg 1 (@ A.C. Milan 0-0): We would go back to our defensive formation and basically was being hounded by shots left and right. Most of course weren’t on target and we tried to attack on the counter, but they knew what was coming. From that we only got one shot, although it almost went in too. Still they couldn’t score either so we will take the tie on the road.

View attachment 125735

League Game 31 (@ Almeria 4-0): This was going to be a trap game. On the road between Champs league and coach Ryan would think is team would be looking ahead like they been doing all year. Still they were heavy favorites and would play like it as they would put up another four goals with one coming from the PK spot. Sanogo (9, 10) is regaining his form as he hit double digits this year for the second player on the team to do so, and Vera (20) got his second year of twenty goals from the penalty kick. Simao (2) would add in a garbage goal for the team right before stoppage time.

View attachment 125736

Champions Cup Quarter Final Leg 1 (vs. A.C. Milan 0-0): Again another scoreless game. Actually Milan would score in stoppage time, but they were clearly offsides to keep it knotted up. So we went into extra time. “I was worried about going into a penalty shootout with them. We don’t have the best record in it, and lately we haven’t been able to make our shots. So I was really hoping to score a goal in extra time.” said coach Ryan after the game. He wouldn’t get his wish as it would end in a draw to push them into a shootout. Vera would start things off as he would actually make one. Vela would miss, but that would be the only miss we would have as Simoa made his we would win on 4-2 in a shootout.

View attachment 125737

League Game 32 (@ Sevilla 1-4): “I am not worried about this loss. We beat a very tough Milan team and our team was tired. We had to give some starters a rest and this is what happened. I told the team not to worry about this loss since we are out of contention for the title and just get ready for the Semi Finals and against the next two league games.” an enthusiastic Ryan said. There would only been a lot of postives in a game where a bunch of backups were playing. Simao (3) had the only bright spot with a goal late in the second half.

View attachment 125738

League Game 33 (vs. Barcelona 1-1): We needed a win, but did manage to end up with one point. Vera missed this game with a suspension and Benzema is still injured. We looked for a spark and O’Brien (9) give it to us, but it was a little too late as it was right before stoppage time. Still in fourth place by one point, but they have one game on us.

View attachment 125739

Champions Cup Semi Final (vs. Olympique Lyonnais 2-2): Second time we faced off against this team this year. Last time it was for the final of the Euro Super Cup where we won 3-2. We would look to get off on the right foot by dominating them at home, but like the quarter finals we would end the match in a draw. We did score goals, and the second one was huge since it was in stoppage time. Sanogo (5) had the first goal in the second half to tie it back at 1-1 on a frozen rope shot from outside the box. Vera (7) would tie the game back up with a tap in where he rounded the keeper after knocking down a defender.

View attachment 125740

League Game 34 (vs. Atletico Madrid 1-0): “The biggest game of the year. Glad we could pull it off.” said coach Ryan. While it was a big game they still need to finish strong. Before the game we were just one point ahead of them for fourth place while they had a game on us. They still have a game, but at least we got four points now.

Players wages are so high we are losing money despite winning in Champs league. Board wants something done and so it looks as if some people will be gone. They already stated that people with contracts up will most likely be off the team unless they take the same pay or pay cut for next year.

View attachment 125742

Champions Cup Semi Final (@ Olympique Lyonnais 3-2): “They would come out with all their fire power, but they couldn’t seem to break our defense. Sure we bend until the breaking point, but we never broke.” a very happy Ryan said after seeing his team making it back to the finals of the Champs League Final. We would get all three of our goals from everyone who wasn’t a striker and would come up huge. Aragon (1) and Song (2) helped us to a 2-1 lead at half. After they tied it up we didn’t want to go into another shootout so Galarza (2) who take matters into his own hands on a free kick and bend it around the wall for the game winner.

View attachment 125743

League Game 35 (@ Valencia 2-1): A huge win for us. They were in third so it inches it closer to third place while still keeping us firmly in third place. They even had the lead at half which looked worrisome with our team coming off of a huge win in the Champs league. Galarza ( 6) would keep his hot form going and just three minutes later Sanogo (11) would close out the game with his winning goal with a blast just inside the box.

View attachment 125744

League Game 36 (@ Sporting 2-0): We got a little break with a team that is struggling and we are favorites on the road. We got to rest some players as we cruised to a shutout victory and didn’t even pick up a yellow card this game. Monti (2) and Benzema (10) were scorers in this game for us as we climb into third place. Benzema is the third person this year to break the double digit mark in goals.

View attachment 125745

League Game 37 (vs. Hercules 3-0): Some of the starters got a rest while the fans were worried that coach Ryan was conceding third place. It didn’t look like it since Benzema (11, 12, 13) looked to be back to his form of last year as he bagged a hat trick and that was all that was needed in this game. We have at least locked up a spot in the EC depending on the last game.

View attachment 125746

League Game 38 (@ Osasuna 3-1): A win and we would clinch third place. A tie and it would be left up to Valencia and their result. We would go up early on a Vela (2) goal in the first half. It looked as if we would be happy with a 1-0 win, but they would score on what looked to be a foul as they threw down a defender to steal the ball for the goal. Still our team didn’t complain or argue with the ref and responded with two more goals as we clinch third place. Aragon (3) and Benzema (14) would lead the way as we also grab a spot in the Champs league without a play-in game for the second straight year.

View attachment 125747

Champions Cup Final (Barcelona 2-1): We would have our full squad back and they would only be missing Pique. It looked like a tough game as both teams had their chances, but nothing was going in. It would be the first time that we would actually out shoot Barcelona in a game. Still as the regulation expired no goals were found. Extra time here we come like last years game against Real Madrid for the finals. Again goals would come in full bloom as we would get it started as Georges (1) scored as the ball was being bounced around in the box on a set piece and he scooped it up knocked it in the net. Four minutes later Song (3) would get an insurance goal on a shot that looked like it deflected off of a defender for a goal. Da Silva would score right before halfway, but that would be all they would get as we lift the trophy for the second straight time, but had a lot harder road to travel to this trophy than last year.

Nope. Well the current year I finished it was at 99 % which is why the stadium upgrade was approved cause I won the League and Champs League the year prior. Although the year where I did win League and Champs it was still selling only 2/3's of the stadium. I am selling out now every game though.

Players Released

There was one player who was released. I can’t remember cause I didn’t take a picture and only played in like 12 games the previous two years. He was basically a last resort option for me and only got to see when we were winning the league two years ago, and when injures crept up on us this year.

Players Bought

Signed two more strikers this years. We did go for some defensive help as well. The strikers are only covers for our first team and we are thinking about moving Sanogo to Attacking left center for us which is why they will be covers for first. The defenders look like first team already, but we shall see. We are still trying to find great defenders, but they don’t want to come to our club yet.

Players SOLD

View attachment 125794View attachment 125798View attachment 125795View attachment 125796View attachment 125797View attachment 125821

Kostas was angry that he wasn’t getting any playing time since he was the fifth striker on the depth chart. He got to play in the last six games of the year, and as the last home game ended coach Ryan offered him up and he was the first to go. He also sold three regular starters. Still it was very hard to let go of Esteban and Fabiano but bigger teams came calling.

COACHING SIGNINGS

RETIREMENTS

David Villa who was a great cover for first team last year called it quits. At least we save 80K a week for wages for him. Still was decent and was able to create goals for other players this year as he had 11 assists.

Sponsors

Most of our money is coming from merchandising, but have to wait another two years to get a new shirt deal. Most people think it will be around 5 million, but at least there is one thing for certain. This club makes money without sponsors so its not that big of a deal.

Fans Voting and Best XI

Necid who was the fan favorite last year was a bench player. With that the new one is and probably will be for a long time Gonzalo Vera. He has his position locked and won’t ever lose it unless injured or sold. Plus we broke the highest average rating in a season which was lead by DeMerit.

TV Rights and Expectations

Still predicted to finish third again. Our team has gotten younger and better. So far no loans in the pre-season, but that might change depending on what happens. Although coach Ryan said he would like to loan a goalie for backup in case Eduardo gets injured or at the beginning of the year when he gets called for international duty. Still things are looking up and hope all the young players can grow up fast and keep our team in the top four. Also first time that we have paid out normal bonus to our players.

RICHEST TEAMS

Moving up, but it might slow down since now we are actually spending money to buy players since we already spend 29 million so far.

European club and Nation Ranking

Really don’t know why La Liga is still second behind the EPL. Sure they have great teams, but the last two years the finals for Champs league have been between La Liga teams. Still we stay at four stars and in second place. As for our team Alcorcon just keeps rising in the ranks, but we are looking to slam on the breaks here shortly.

UPGRADES and TEAM LINKS

Again asked for the board to expand the stadium. They would reject it again, but at the end of the year would announce to upgrade the stadium. Looking for 3,000 seats again, but would only get close to half of that. Even with that upgrade we are again upgrading training facilities (to 3 stars again) and now to youth facilities as well.

RECORDS

First two pictures were of course going to happen since we actually started to spend money. We broke the records for most money spend in a year and once under Ryan was when we did spend it was for Necid and Vera in the same year. We saw how that turned out for at least one season, and then Necid got lost in the depth chart. The new guys seem to be starters so hopefully that will work out. Third picture is good news since we are selling more than 5,000 tickets a game so we are making money that way instead its not as good as anyone else in the league since we have the smallest stadium.

great story :P

Thanks, although I think this might be the final year for this story. I actually have the year finished (finished last night), but heading into the new year I basically have a bunch of regens and really not anyone in the game anymore so I feel that people won't like to follow a story with just regens. I am not sure yet just assuming that people won't. We will see when we come up on that bridge, but that is my thoughts right now.

Euro Super Cup (Liverpool 0-1): Players were trying to find their form and this time it wasn’t going to be as we loss in the Super Cup. Still it would be a tight game as no one would score in regular time. A shootout looked very possible, but a goal by Hansen for Liverpool off of a counter. We also don’t give up many counter goals anymore. Still they would score and then pick up a red card afterwards, but our team was too tired in extra time to amount any attack as that would be the score to end the game.

View attachment 126001

League Game 1 (@ Deportivo 2-0): O’Brien wouldn’t waste anytime getting his first goal for the club in the new year. As he now moves into the starting lineup it took him just fifteen seconds to score a game to give us the lead as he took it straight up field before hitting a laser to the top right corner. Teixeira (1) would seem to be able to play anywhere on the pitch as he got a start at central midfield this game. This game wasn’t even close as we easily had our way with them.

View attachment 126002

League Game 2 (vs. Real Sociedad 2-1): Aragon (1) starting to know his role on this team and actually hasn’t be an outspoken firecracker like his old team. Maybe its cause Vera is also an Argentinian as well and is keeping him in check. He wouldn’t score as fast as O’Brien, but would be the second minute. Fans got to see Teixeira (2) score again and looks to have a big part on this team. Hopefully though they can keep him instead of a bigger club coming in and stealing him away.

View attachment 126003

Champs Cup Group F Leg 1 (vs. FC Timisoara 5-2): Vera and O’Brien (1) would only play a half of this game. Again O’Brien seems to only score in the first minute of play. Still it would be a good rest for both of them as goals from Aragon (1) and Sanogo (1) would give us a nice 3-0 lead at half. They would manage to score two goals in the second half, but wouldn’t matter since Simao (1) and sub Bagnoli (1) would both bag goals as we would cruise to an easy win to keep us in first place after the first game. One of their goals was from a PK kick that happened right before stoppage time.

View attachment 126004

League Game 3 (vs. Sporting 2-1): Vera (1,2) would finally end his scoreless streak for the new year. We didn’t look the best out there in front of our home fans, but two nice touch finishes by Vera showed we don’t always need power to score. They would cut the lead back to one just two minutes after we scored our goal, but then our defense tighten down and we flexed our muscles to show we are a top team in the league as they only had one shot for the rest of the game.

View attachment 126005

League Game 4 (@ Barcelona 3-4): What an exciting game. They would take a quick goal, the first goal we would allow in the first half all year. An own goal would tie up the game in before the first twenty minutes. We would get on track and take the lead by a nice move by Vera (3, 4) who would score by hitting one off the post Still they would manage to tie the game up heading into half. Vera’s second goal would again give us the lead in the second half, but we wouldn’t be able to hang on this time as they would score in the 75th minute. On a corner it looked as if Simao was taken down in the box, but no foul was called as Perotti would be free to tap the ball in the back of the net to give them the win and snap out of their losing streak in the league.

View attachment 126006

League Game 5 (vs. Celta 0-1): Looks like the loss to Barcelona threw off our rhythm on offense and the goals didn’t show up today in a game we were suppose to dominate. “In a game like this the worst loss we accept is tie. Losing is just unacceptable and we need to work on focus throughout the game.” said coach Ryan as his team could only manage to pick up yellow cards (3) and a red.

Champions Cup Ground F Leg 1
(@ Arsenal 1-1): “We did what we had to do in this game. Yes a win would have been nice, but a tie still keeps us in first for our group and on our way to meet our goal.” said coach Ryan. They would play a shell game with Arsenal after O’Brien (2) scored in the first half. Second half we would allow a couple more shots, but most weren’t on target. They would only have two and the goal they scored was on a nearly impossible angle. Only reason why it wasn’t impossible cause then it wouldn’t of went in.

View attachment 126021

League Game 6 (vs. Atletico Madrid 2-1): We are climbing back up the ranks as we finally get back on track. Its good too cause some people were getting tired so we had to switch to your shell-counter formation and it paid off huge as we had some strikers resting. Aragon (2) would give us the lead before they tied it up before half. Still Vera (9) is continuing his good form as he scored again to give us the lead and that is all we needed for the win. We were favorites coming in, but with the fitness concerns from Champs league we decided to take it easy this game.

View attachment 126022

League Game 7 (vs. Tenerife 3-0): Vera got the start again cause of his form. We would let Sanogo and O’Brien get a rest for the Champs league next. Still Dzagoev (1) would get us started with a goal as he finally is healthy from his injury to contribute to his new team. Vera (10, 11) wouldn’t slow down despite the options up top with him as he gave two more goals, third time this season he has scored twice in a game, to give us the rout and as we climb up the ranks. Also would only take seven games to hit double digit marks for him.

View attachment 126023

Champions Cup Group F Leg 1 (vs. Fenerbahce 2-1): “This is exactly what we wanted. This is the outcome we wanted and the position in the group stages as well.” said coach Ryan. It is the start they wanted cause they are in first and have all but clinched a spot to move on to the Knockout stages. All the goals would be scored in the first half and again it was the Argentineans who scored them. Aragon (2) and Vera (1) would score within three minutes of each other and that is all that we needed for the three points.

View attachment 126024

League Game 8 (@ Real Madrid 1-4): “At least we scored first. We can take that home with us.” said coach Ryan as Vera (8) was the only scorer in the game. Vera (12) would be the only scorer inside of ten minutes for our club and it came on a PK. They would just have a deeper bench than us as our fitness wasn’t that high and showed late in the first half and all of the second. While we sit in eight place in the league its still not as bad to start the year.

Spanish Cup 4th Round Leg 1 (@ U.D. Merida 0-1): Again for the second straight year he has bench all of his starters and let his youth and backups start this game. Still it was a little rocky as nothing could be done and we are now down. Still fine since we have to play in front of our home fans and we might use some starters next game.

View attachment 126859

League Game 9 (@ Athletic 3-4): “This was my fault. All of our first team was healthy and I put them all out there for this game. That included a new center back who got his first game for us and attacking midfilder for his third game. Chemistry wasn’t there fully and you could tell on the back line.” said Ryan who was kicking himself this game. At least Aragon (3) and Vera (13) are beginning to score together and often. Simao (3) is still holding down the midfield for us, but we are on a slid and while its not time to jump ship some are questioning if we should of let go of some people last year.

View attachment 126860

Champions Cup Group F Leg 2 (@ Fenerbahce 0-3): This was not the result we were looking for. That throws a wrench into our plans of how this would play out. If we got the tie it would of gotten us to advance, but now we have to at least tie or beat Arsenal now to make sure. Champs group stage just got that much harder and now we hope that morale doesn’t kill us for the league games coming up.

View attachment 126861

League Game 10 (vs. Valencia 4-2): Apparently Vera (14, 15, 16, 17) wouldn’t let this losing streak continue. His four goals are a new team record. If he keeps this pace up he will be setting a new record for most goals in a season as well. A scary moment though in the game is when he did have to come out due to an injury, but would only miss a day due to it.

View attachment 126862

Spanish Cup 4th Round Leg 2 (vs. U.D. Merida 4-3): “At least we won the game. I don’t really care about the Spanish Cup since we have a lot more important things coming up to this club than that. Maybe when we actually have a bench we will be able to get further in this cup.” said Ryan when asked about another early exit in the Cup. Coach Ryan would bench all of his starters this game and would only let O’Brien who is coming back from an injury get some playing time. Giovannelli and Bernardo scored goals while Iruretagoiena scored two for us. They advance cause of away goals.

View attachment 126866

League Game 11 (@ Almeria 2-2): We would dominate this game and like when we were the little team we would manage to end up with a tie against the bigger clubs. Vera (14) and Aragon (4) seem to be the only people who can score for our club in league games and we are seeing that we don’t have a bench at all. Still with the tie we remain in fifth place, but are falling behind Real Madrid for the title. Again top three is all we are looking for this year.

View attachment 126867

Champions Cup Group F Leg 2 (@ FC Timisoara 3-0): O’Brien (3) would make his way back into the starting role even if it was to let Vera rest. With Vera resting Galarza (1) would get his first crack at being the PK taker. Iago (1) who has moved into the starting role for how well he has played this year finally got to see his name on the score sheet. “I was a little worried to tell you the truth. Not about their team, but how our team is coping with the lack of focus we have show lately. Hopefully we can snap out of it soon and actually put together strings of wins instead of just one or two.

Getting closer to that 3 million mark of losses again. At leas the stadium is getting sold out for every home game, but things need to be done. Also it looks as if me might be losing some money as coach Ryan is looking to buy a defender in the transfer window.

Won first place in the group stages which was a little harder than we expected it to be. Still on the rise in the league so everything is looking good for us. Hopefully we don’t have too many injuries (only one this month) for the rest of the year to keep the run going.

Games

View attachment 126877

League Game 12 (vs. Malaga 4-0): Welcome back to scoring Sanogo! Vera (18) would again come up with a goal. After the game he would want to re-do his contract, but coach Ryan said we just did that last year so no need to do it again. Still Dzagoev (2) would score right before half to give us a cushion. Second half it would be the Sanogo show (1, 2) as he would finally score all year.

View attachment 126878

Champions Group Cup F Leg 2 (vs. Arsenal 3-2): All we were looking for was for a tie and at halftime we were sitting at a 3-1 lead from goals of Sanogo (2), Aragon (3), and Galarza (2). At half coach would let Vera and Sanogo rest for the league games. They would inch closer as they would score a second half goal, but nothing else could happen as we would seal the first place for our group and again make it out of the group stages for the third straight year.

View attachment 126879

League Game 13 (@ Espanyol 4-0): The rest would do wonders for the strikers in this game as Vera (19) would continue to dominate the league. Galarza (1) would add a goal from a free kick right after halftime for us. Sanogo (3, 4) again would turn it on in the second half as he continues to find his form now. They would only have one shot on target and it was a slow roller to the keeper while everything else wasn’t even close to goal.

View attachment 126880

Club World Ch’ship Semi Final (Okayama FC 2-2): We would lose on penalty shots in this game as we would be down twice in regular time as Simao scored both of our goals. In the shootout we didn’t have the best start. Vera would beat the keeper, but it would hit off the post. Sanogo would of looked to score, but somehow the goalie got a finger on it to push it wide. Vertonghen would kick it straight at the keeper, but would sail over the goal post. They would also miss their first shot, but then would hit the next three to advance them to the finals.

View attachment 126884

Club World Championship 3rd Place Playoff (Corinthians 2-1): Dzagoev would score a quick goal, but they would answer right back with a goal of their own. Of the 23 players we had registered most were tired and we gave them a rest to get back into the league so we needed some help and would get it as we would get an own goal to give us the win.

View attachment 126885

League Game 14 (@ Valladolid 5-2): Things were going well in the first half for us. We looked horrible and seemed to get out played everywhere on the pitch by them in a game we were suppose to dominate early. Luckily at half it was tied only cause of a PK by Vera. Second half we would finally start to hit on all cylinders as Vera (20, 21) would score again and be the first person to twenty goals in a season, and Sanogo (5, 6, 7) would score a hat trick. The last one coming on a penalty shot in which he was about to score and was tripped up. He would get a crack at the spot instead of Vera who already hit on today and already has enough goals to his name on the year.

League Standings

We are fighting for second right now, but the prize is on first. Still might be a little to out of reach without a deep bench, but with the way we been scoring we might not need a bench. Still halfway through the year and we are top 3 looks to be a good year for us.

Games

View attachment 127366

League Game 15 (vs. Getafe 3-0): We are back to form and back to winning ways as we continue to cruise through games and up the standings we go. Vera wouldn’t score in this game only cause he was suspended from yellow cards. His replacement O’Brien (2) got back on his scoring track within ten minutes again. Georges (1) would find the net on a header from a corner kick while Sanogo (8) is trying his best to catch Vera for the scoring title this year.

View attachment 127367

League Game 16 (@ Sevilla 3-2): We wouldn’t get a shutout here, but no one was expecting that as we were taking on the #2 team in the standings. Still we would get production out of our two hottest guys on the team who luckily are our strikers. Sanogo (9, 10) would finally break double digit scoring mark this year in league play as he would actually show some creativity out there for a score. He did a cross over, step over to deke the goalie out for one of his goals. Vera (22) would be the other person to score and picked up where he left off from his suspension. Still wouldn’t move up in the standings but are getting closer to jumping into second.

View attachment 127368

League Game 17
(vs. Osasuna 4-1): Huge favorites at home. The fans were a little upset when we gave up a goal to be tied heading into half. The second half we would turn it on though and put on the rout as Vera’s (23, 24, 25) hat trick would be the talk of the city. He would also break the record for most league goals in a season which he was the previous record holder as well. Sanogo (11) is trying to catch up, but the slow start to the year looks like he has a lot of ground if he wants to do so.

View attachment 127369

League Game 18
(@ Elche 5-1): No surprises in this game. Our team is playing loose and fast and looks like the team two years ago when we strolled through the league. Problem is Real Madrid and Sevilla are on a hot streak so its not going to be as easy. Still goals just keep piling up and Galarza (2) would get things started in the first half for us. Unlike last game we would score three times in the first half to give us a comfortable lead. The shutout would be snapped in the 75th minute by a goal, but by that time all of our scoring was done. Vera (26, 27, 28) hat trick, third this season, would be the highlights , but Sanogo (12) would also score in this game.

View attachment 127370

League Game 19 (vs. Villarreal 2-1): Sanogo and Vera would go cold this game. They had plenty of shots, but nothing went in as they were both held scoreless. It looked as if it would be a bad game, but Dzagoev (3, 4) would finally find the back of the net for us to keep us on our winning streak.

So we lost 10 million. We should easily win the knockout stage for the champs league to keep us in a positive. Plus its mostly cause of the player we bought that got us in double figures for losses this month.

Players BOUGHT

View attachment 127373View attachment 127374

Coach Ryan would see that one of his links, Columbus Crew, sold a midfielder. We have first option so he looked and did a scouting report and saw that it was a good investment for under 6 million dollars. “His fee’s is basically paid for by winning the knockout stage and the third place in the World Cup.” he said. Most fans are curious though since he won’t be able to play for the rest of the year since he doesn’t have his EU card.

League Game 20
(vs. Deportivo 1-2): “It’s the biggest loss for us this year. It’s unacceptable. Its worst than the loss in the Spanish Cup cause this game we actually had our first team in and they were fit.” said coach Ryan as we loss to the worst team in the league. Again strikers couldn’t seem to find the back of the net until stoppage time and by that time it was too late as Vera (29) was the only scorer this game for us. Loss knocks us back down into third place now.

View attachment 127377

League Game 21
(@ Real Sociedad 3-0): We would get back on track with scoring in the fist half as Galarza (3) would score a goal coming back in his first game from injury. Vera (30) would be the first person ever to score thirty goals in a season for us. With still almost a half of a season left to play so fans are very excited about him. Second half it would be Aragon (5) to score and would post a shutout. “Maybe last game was a wake up call for us. I do like how we responded to the loss. I am proud of the lads.

View attachment 127380

League Game 22 (vs. Valladolid 3-0): Fans would see our team climb back up into second place with this win, although we do have two games on Sevilla right now. Fans were a little worried when we went into half with a 1-0 lead and had only 3 shots and we didn’t even score the goal since it was an own goal. Still the second half we would get a goal on a free kick by Giovannelli (1) header and then Vera (31) would continue his dominance in the league.

View attachment 127381

Champions Cup 1st Knockout Round Leg 1 (@ Shakhtar 4-4): “We will take it. We don’t lose at home when we need a win and our team knows what pressure is like. Although I would of liked to take the win since the two games before it are against the best teams in the league.” said coach Ryan as his team would be in a shootout. Aragon (4) would get us started to tie the game up on a run that would hardly see him get inside the box. Sanogo (2) would give us the lead just ten minutes later. Iago (2) showed that despite his age and a star player can still contribute as he bagged a goal for himself to give us the lead. After they tied it up it would be Vera (2) who would give us the lead for another eight minutes before they tied it up again. Still Vera would break his own record for having the most total goals in a season.

View attachment 127382

League Game 23 (@ Sporting 3-2): Vera and Sanogo would get a rest for the next three games coming out. “They weren’t happy about not playing this game. I told them that they will be getting a lot of playing time here coming up for the next three games.” They knew it was more important for the team. Even though we were on the road we were heavy favorites and we still managed to have a comeback win. Down at half 2-nil our team would rally as we would score three times in the second half and all where from crosses inside the box to the opposite attacking winger. Aragon (6, 7) would score the first two and then Iago (1) would give us the winning goal.

Just Went Through All Of It. Great Story, i dont mind about regens. KIU!

Thanks. Yeah I am getting worried. Well at least in the new year. Its just that I am in 2018 and everyone I know and like is getting up in age and they want like 40+ for them. I mean there are some top regens that want that much as well and I pass cause I just don't have the money. Just most people that want to come to my team for cheap are regens and their salaries are mostly low. Although I will say I finally decided to spend the cash as one guy on the new year is getting over 200K a week for salaries.

League Game 24 (vs. Barcelona 4-3): “What a game. This looked like it was going to be a tie from the beginning. We would trade goals like two prize fighters in a ring. Each goal was like a landed haymaker and both men looked to be standing at the end and would have to be by decision.” said a very tired Adam Ryan said. Still right before the bell would ring one more haymaker would land we that would be it. A quick goal by them would give them the lead by Aragon (8) in the 15th minute to cut it by one. After they would push the lead back to two Vera would score just two minutes later as that would be the score heading into half. A goal within the first minute of the second half by Sanogo (13) would tie it back up. It would stay that way until stoppage time when Vera (32, 33) would ice the game with a goal that he struck 25 yards out.

View attachment 127538

League Game 25 (vs. Real Madrid 4-3): Maybe it was cause we play Barcelona at home and they are in a slump is the reason we snuck out with a win. The same couldn’t be say for the best team in the league right now at home after a big game like that? Could it? It would be almost the exact same game. This time we wouldn’t let them have two goals on us to start the game. We actually traded goals as we went into half tied 2-2. Aragon didn’t score first for us, but another midfielder did in Iago (2). Next Vera would tie up the game before half. Sanogo (14) would give us the lead this time after halftime, but would lose it just a couple minutes later. It didn’t take stoppage time, but Vera (34, 35) got his second goal to win the game for us.

View attachment 127539

Champions Cup 1st Knockout Round Leg 2 (vs. Shakhtar 2-1): We did exactly what we needed to do in this game. It was a little scary when they scored in the third minute, but Aragon (5) would tie it up before too long. Vera (3) could of give us more of a cushion by hitting a PK, but still it wouldn’t matter as that is how the game would end.

View attachment 127540

League Game 26 (@ Celta 7-2): Fans were a little unhappy that we couldn’t have an scoring clinic in front of our home fans. Still this would be an exciting game to watch. Ryan wasn’t pleased that we didn’t start scoring until they went down a man, but still a win is a win especially when it breaks the record for most goals in a game. For the first two goals in the game were by them with the first one being an own goal. That’s what the score looked like in half. After halftime the talk really inspired the boys since Vera (36, 37, 38, 39) got his second four goal game this year. Teixeira (3) and Sanogo (15) would round out the scoring.

View attachment 127541

League Game 27 (@ Atletico Madrid 4-3): After taking a 2-0 lead to start the game we would go into half with a 2-1 lead. It soon became a 2-2 game quickly after the second half and then down 3-2 in the 71st minute. Things were looking bad for us, but we would dig deep and find two goals in the finally ten minutes to come away with the win. Vera (40) would be the first person ever to not just break thirty goals, but now forty. Sanogo (16, 17, 18) did pick up a hat trick and is now the leading assist leader as well for the club.

View attachment 127546

League Game 28 (@ Tenerife 3-1): Sanogo (19, 20) would be the second person this year to score twenty goals. We would take a 3-nil lead at half as there would be an own goal. For the second straight game we gave up a goal early in the second half. Still it was no ones fault as it would take a deflection and Eduardo was already going the other way so he watched from the ground as it went it. would have been nice for a shutout, but the three points is all we care about.

With the win in the Champs league we actually made more than a million dollars. Rumor has it that coach Ryan wants to spend the rest of the transfer budget (26 million) on one player. Rumors have it, but we think that is all it is since we only have 43 million in our balance right now.

League Game 29 (vs. Athletic 2-1): There would be two goals and by two different goal scorers. The question is who would of scored them? If you guessed Vera (41) and Sanogo (21) you were right. They would score both in the second half and after an own goal by Eduardo late in the second half. “Yes I was actually scared for the last six minutes. We had three of our starting defenders missing from injury or international duty so we had to start two new guys. So yes the last six minutes was a little nervous for me.

View attachment 127554

Champions Cup Quarter Final Leg 1 (@ Fenerbahce 2-2): “Are fans are a little down cause Vera missed a penalty shot that would of given us the win. I don’t care really, although it would have been nice, but this was the result we were looking for. Our back line is in shambles right now with injuries so again we had to start some inexperience guys and the other two starters were lacking in fitness. Honestly I though we would have to win at home by a couple goals to advance so a draw is the best thing for us.” said coach Ryan. Vera (4, 5) did have both goals for us though.

View attachment 127555

League Game 30 (@ Valencia 3-0): We would get all but one of our defense line back this game. Not fully rested, but at least we were stronger than we been back there. It would show as he posted a shutout on the fourth team in the division. Vera (42, 43, 44) did hit an hat trick and did convert on the penalty shot this game.

View attachment 127556

Champions Cup Quarter Final Leg 2 (vs. Fenerbahce 5-4): We would jump out to a 2-0 lead in the first twelve minutes as it looked as if we would cruise to the next round. “It looked as if our boys just took it for granted and that we were playing at home as they would cut the lead by one at half. We were never in contention of ending the game with a tie until we gave away a penalty kick and then I was worried we would give them another one or they would find the game winning tying goal.” said coach Ryan who was happy we is going to the Semi-Finals again. Vera ( 6) would keep up his scoring as he started the game. Sanogo (4, 5) would have the second and last goal for our team. Galarza (3) and Vertonghen (1) had the rest of the scoring.

View attachment 127557

League Game 31 (vs. Almeria 3-1): Vera wouldn’t score in this game to snap his four game scoring streak due to an injury. While it was scary when it happen it looks as if he will only miss the next game. With him out we found a goal by Bernardo (1) who came in for him since Sanogo was getting a rest as well. Galarza (4) and Giovannelli (2) would hook up on a header off of a set piece. We would give us an early goal, but we were just too strong for the whole 90 minutes in this game as we would pounce on them in the second half.

View attachment 127558

League Game 32
(@ Malaga 5-0): We are inching closer too 100 goals in a year. Team looked like it didn’t miss Vera in this game as the shutout was on and we would score five goals. All would be by different players. Sanogo (22) got a goal in the first half and would get a rest after halftime when we were winning by four. O’Brien (3), Giovannelli (3), and Aragon (9) were the rest of the scorers in the first half. Bagnoli (1) would be the sub for Sanogo at half and would end the scoring for us.

View attachment 127559

League Game 33
(vs. Sevilla 0-2): “This game will hurt more tomorrow than it does right now.” said coach Ryan after a humble defeat. It would be true since they were in third place and now we dropped from two points behind first to five. As we had Vera resting again, since semi-finals next, Sanogo and O’Brien couldn’t find the back of the net. Ex-player Granero got his second goal against his old team.

View attachment 127561

Champions Cup Semi Final Leg 1 (@ Porto 2-5): “Maybe the loss to Sevilla was too much about this game. I don’t know. We didn’t play like our normal self’s and never seemed to stop any of their advancements and couldn’t sustain any offense prowess.” said coach Ryan after what looks to be too much of a hole to climb out of this time. Sanogo ( 6) and Dzagoev (2) both scored in this game within four minutes, but we would allowed two more goals after that to crush our hopes.

View attachment 127562

League Game 34
(vs. Espanyol 4-1): Sure we won since we were heavy favorites, but that wasn’t the more important things. We broke the 100 goal mark, actually have 103, and that still wasn’t the big news. With the new we have at least clinched a second or third place in the league and again make the Champs league for next season. Sanogo (23), O’Brien (4), Galarza (5), and Georges (2) all scored in this game as Vera is resting for the second leg against Porto.

Champions Cup Semi Final Leg 2 (vs. Porto 2-0): “Fans are disappointed, I am upset. The odds were heavily stacked against us and we came out determined and almost won. Usually we always seal the games we need, and this is the first time it didn’t turn out in our favor.” replied coach Ryan at the press conference. We would lose by one, but the miss PK by Vera would of tied it. He looked to have faked out the goalie and would kick it straight down the middle but the goalie would catch himself and would be able to block it to save the game. Vera (7) did have a goal with Sanogo (7) in the first half.

View attachment 128412

League Game 35 (@ Getafe 1-3): Our team was heartbroken for not making the finals and they couldn’t get that out of their heads in this game as we would fall for the second straight league game. All we need to do though is win one more game and we should of clinched second place. O’Brien (5) would be the only scorer in this game for us as we couldn’t seem to do anything on the pitch today.

View attachment 128413

League Game 36
(@ Osasuna 1-1): Vera (45) would find the net to get back on scoring in the league. The tie wouldn’t do us any good as we still need a win to clinch second. A goal in the second half by them has us struggling at the end of the year which I guess is a good thing we are not in the finals for the Champs league.

View attachment 128414

League Game 37
(vs. Elche 4-1): Vera wouldn’t score, but did have four assists. O’Brien (6, 7, 8, 9) would be the third time this year that one player scored four goals in a game. Both other times was by Vera. The win would give us second place, and now the question is who will be bought next year to play defense as we gave up over 50 goals this year.

View attachment 128415

League Game 38 (@ Villarreal 1-2): With nothing to play for coach Ryan would let his backups play. It looked good early on as O’Brien (10) would score to give us the lead at half and also was the third person to break double digits for the league. Sadly though the second half we couldn’t hold on and faltered again to end the year with a loss.

Players Released

We didn't have anyone who had a contract expiring which was a great thing since we didn't have to spend any extra money for signing bonuses or agent bonuses.

Players Bought

With most of our signings coming at the beginning of the year we ended up the year just buying one person. Of course it was a huge fee, but we hope that he can lead us to glory for both league and champs for years to come to make us a lot of money.

Players SOLD

The first two guys we let go cause they were not getting any playing time and we are getting younger at that position to where they have been having breakout years. Also needed the money to help keep us above the red for running the team. Billy who was good never seemed to crack the starting XI. If he did though he didn't stay there long due to injuries. With the new striker he will never see any playing time so we had to let him go to at least get some money from him.

Sponsors

Still stayed the same, whatever that is, but its not near Real Madrid though as they hold the league. Also the league went down in sponsorships money as well from last year which isn’t a good sign.

Fans Voting and Best XI

Who didn’t see this coming. While he dominated the league now the question is whats going to happen when someone better than Vera is now on the team? Still he is good and won it for the second straight year. Real question now is can he repeat for the third straight time which the leader who has done that was DeMerit.

TV Rights and Expectations

While the Sponsors for the league has dropped at least the TV rights haven’t. They actually rose this year which is always a good thing. With the influx of young players we are not given the crown of being the best team in the league, but we are getting there with the salary of just around 1.1 million. Since the bank is gone don’t expect any people in, but like we seen before some people might be out to get some money. Payouts are getting expensive too for bonuses as well for the team.

RICHEST TEAMS

We moved up this year, but we spend a ton of money so we will be dropping next year for sure. At least we broke into the Top-25 richest clubs.

European club and Nation Ranking

We are staying in second place and that’s where we will be probably for the next couple of years. As for the club we keep rising up there and now have broken into the top five. With the signings we did this off-season we should be able to push too the top since we have a bunch of young guys on our team.

UPGRADES and TEAM LINKS

We got another addition of a little over 1,000 seats to the stadium. Better news is that we finally convinced the board that a youth academy would actually benefit the club so they are starting to build one. While our senior team is getting to the point of being one of the best the club is starting to improve on the facilities so we can actually be one of the top teams in the world.

RECORDS

Vera was amazing and showed the world who dominate he could be since he is the Worlds top marksman by one of the biggest margins ever. Despite his scoring the team decided to go out and get another top marksman, actually was third last year, to give us now the best striker tandem in the league. With that comes the highest fee we ever spend as it was the first time over 20 million. With no contracts up this year we decided to spend in the market to bolster our team and make the push for the double next year. Still all the money takes a bunch of money out of our balance so we are close to being bankrupted.

Last two is just showing that we finally have 10K people at least coming to our games. We need a new stadium now since our new team is over one million in wages. With all the scoring Vera did he is now have the highest rating for the year.

NEWS CONFERENCE

Coach Ryan has been quiet of late when it came to actually have a press conference. He would actually sit down and the questions would be coming hard and fast at him and there is finally an excitement in the air that this could actually be the start to one of the top teams in the league on paper.

PRESS 1: “You had a good season last year. Got rid of some older guys who were coming down with injuries and now have replace them with younger guys on the team. You have succeeded expectations every year and now you again for to finish third. So have now climbed to be one of the top three teams in the league when do you feel that you will become the best?

ADAM RYAN: “Wow. A lot of questions there. See if I can remember it all. First thanks for saying we had a good season. We were a little sad not to win anything, but we are striving to do better this year, and yes I think we have heavy expectations but should be able to manage at least third. If Vera can score like he did last year, keep key players healthy, and have Careca not miss a beat I think we have the best team in the league. Yes we got rid of some older guys, but the younger guys did do well for us so I don’t see why not to let them have more of a role on this team.”

PRESS 2: “You spend a lot last year for players throughout the year. With not a lot of money left laying around for the club are you looking to buy someone later in the transfer period or are you going to try to work on the facilities?”

ADAM RYAN: “I don’t know why we can’t do both. Still the team we have is great and the only way we would ever look to buy someone is if injuries hit us. I don’t see many holes on our team and we are finally getting depth for our team. The only place we might need some depth is at the back line and that’s still if people only get injured. Still we did spend a lot and I think we might of went overboard last year so we are going to slow down on our spending and build back up our bank. I will though always look to strive to building our facilities.”

PRESS 4: “First time in your coach regime that you spend over 20 million dollars on a player. With Sanogo and Vera doing so well do you feel that you could of saved some of that money to build up the facilities and then got him if one of them got injured?”

ADAM RYAN: “Yes Sanogo and Vera both had fantastic years for us. I really didn’t want to buy him either since they did do very well. Still his value was around 48 million and the buy out clause was only 24 million. Real Madrid and Barcelona were looking at him and rather go to a rival club, and lets face it they don’t need him and already took people that I wanted before, that I felt we had too. Plus we now have cover at striker and while it means Sanogo has to sit we can still move him to attacking mid if we really wanted too.”

PRESS 3: “Are you going to sell or loan out Sanogo? Or for that matter any of the other strikers on your team?”

ADAM RYAN: “Not at the moment. Maybe loans will be best, but Sanogo is not going anywhere for sure. Maybe some of the other guys, but still if a freak accident happens and one of those three (Vera, Careca, Sanogo) we will be hurting. Right now we are not looking into loaning anyone out, but if teams are interested in either buying or asking for a loan we will look into it like we do with anyone on our team.”

PRESS 5: “Does that mean that you could sell Vera or someone else on your team if a caller comes knocking?”

ADAM RYAN: “We sold our starting goalie before and let Eduardo start for the rest of the year in the middle of the season. Yes if the right offer comes in and depending on the player if he wants to leave we would allow it to happen. I don’t see Vera, Eduardo, or either our center backs Giovannelli or Georges leaving though. They would have to offer us a huge payout to get them since they are so young still and the building blocks to our team. If someone wanted Sanogo it would still have to be for a good price, but we would sit down and let him decide. If he wanted to go then he would go, if he wanted to stay still if the price was right we would decline it. Anyways everyone on our team loves it here so I don’t see why they would want to leave if they had the option.”

PRESS 3:
“You didn’t win the champs league last year. Was the Careca buy to help out with that since Vera and Sanogo did miss some games due to injury and/or suspensions?”

ADAM RYAN: “Well it gives us the ability to rest players now so that Vera and Sanogo didn’t have to play every game. Sanogo might find more time playing in the bigger games like that than in the league so who knows. I don’t know if we bough him exactly for that, but it does give us a different look and a lot more options to play with this year.”

PRESS 1:“What about salaries? This is the first time you actually have over a million dollars for the whole year and the first player (Careca) making over 150K for wages with his actually being 205K. With the stadium only holding 12,000 seats do you feel more pressure if people don’t perform to sell them out to keep the wages low?”

ADAM RYAN:
“It does put a strain on our team financially when we do go over the one million for wages. We lose a lot of money a month, but I think the better players you get the more its going to go up. We actually have 2 million wage budget we can use, but there is no way I will get it up to that for the heck of it. If we had a stadium of like 80K then yes I would be buying people and making sure we had the depth everywhere to complete for all titles and every game to win. Still we don’t so we have to pick what games we can rest some people and what games aren’t that important for us. Although this year we do have the most depth we ever had so those games are becoming less and less. Thanks everyone, but I do need to get back to the team for the new year.”

Yaya and Cristian both can play striker and Yaya will most likely will be the sub striker. First look for Cristian will be attacking midfielder, but if we need him he will be a striker.

Also we do have more people on the team, but they came up through the youth facilities so they aren't that good and won't be looked at for most games. These will be the only people who will mostly be used.
