A Massive upset in Paris has left us with a great chance to make it to the last 16. PSG had the best of the match but we made the best chances and could have scored more even though 1 was enough tonight.

94% attendance and 7 sell outs by December suggest we are! Stewart Milne has always said they cant afford a new stadium however that may be one obstical i'll be able to overcome if we get a new chairman.

A New stadium is all we can do to increase income at the club. Not sure if the SPL moving up the Euro rankings helps it get more money or if thats possible at all?

SPL increasing in rep will help increase attendances that aren't already sell-outs and increase TV and prize money.

Moving up the Euro ranking will mainly affect price tickets which means more money :) It won't increase attendance much, but winning games will.
 

December

Defeat Zaragoza with an unlikely hero leading us to a last 16 clash with Man Utd
Increase the gap to Celtic by beating them at Parkhead
Finish the year off with two 5 goal wins





Takeover at Pittodrie


New chairman Lee Burns has taken over At Pittodrie and with his Greenock based consortium. He immediately invested money to improve the training ground and youth training facility's while investing £6m into the club, Not quite the £52m i was told but nevermind. Also after asking for a new stadium we apparently don't need one as the financial benefits wouldn't warrant building a new stadium.

A high action, high pace game which included Salmonsson scoring with his 1st touch off the bench, not bad for a wing back. Amazingly Craig Crawford only made his 50th appearance for Aberdeen in the league. Seems like he's been here forever

Darren Hughes is a Very unlikely hero but his two goals were the difference between being in and out. Zaragoza put up a late fightback but thankfully we held on to win and end the group in 2nd place.

A Match ruined by the ref. After taking a early lead we lost left back Mjomen to injury at the half hour point then 7 minutes later Loeffen got sent off for a second yellow card, two of the 11 handed out. Man Utd were later reduced to 10 men which led to our champions league hero Darren Hughes coming off the bench to score a 2nd and put us in a great position for the 2nd leg

After total domination by the Dons Celtic took there only shot on target and with it the lead. With no signs of a come back we had to go gungho and Loeffen managed two goals in 7 minutes to turn the match around and open the gap to 21 points

Archer played almost every game this month with Cabestany being injured and resting players through other matches meant he got his fair share of appearances. Good enough to start but the competition for the two winger positions is very stiff.

Despite being two of the most recognizable teams in Scotland this is only the 2nd time they will compete a final after Dundee Utd won the 1980 Skol Cup

Aberdeen make it a hattrick of League cup wins, my 4th overall. We were always comfortable after getting a few goals in Dundee Utd had a mountain to climb.

Doing really well and great news on the takeover. Is pittodrie expanded to the maximum. On the stadium I am with the board, your average attendance isn't good enough to rake in much more income from a new, bigger stadium however it may increase attendances.q
 
No more advances in the stadium. I'm looking every week to see if there is the option to ask for a new stadium. Not interested in an expansion as it would just be a waste of cash. Never had it over 28,0000 in other games and with Pittodrie being pretty run down and in need of replacing and Aberdeen becoming to top team in Scotland they need to get a stadium worthy of our position.

AGGAberdeen 4-4 Fulham - Aberdeen win on Away Goals


What a game! We had to attack to get the minimum of 2 goals to get us through. So 1-0 up at half time then the second goal put the ball in our court however Fulham were not to lay down and loose and scored 2 goals in 3 minutes to retake the advantage. A Quick attacking change and the gungho philosophy was acquired and in the 91st minute the man who scored at Pittodrie to give us hope Elias nodded home the winner on the night and the tie. Semi finals here we go!

What a night to get your 150th appearance Daniel Monnard. Shame he couldn't keep a clean sheet in Europe. Liverpool took the lead very early on and we had a chance to equalize almost immediately but Elias missed a penalty after his heroics in the quarter finals. We did eventually get a equalizer from sub Brett Archer but we'll probably need 2 goals at Anfield where we were dismantled only 6 months ago

Unbelievable! Aberdeen have made the champions league final! Was delighted to get a early goal from Elias but was waiting for the Liverpool onslaught which never arrived. Into the second half and Loeffen turned the tie on its head with a second goal giving us in effect a 3 goal lead. Liverpool pulled one of them back but had left it far to late and we have made it to the final.

Unbelievable making the final. I would advise expanding, it'll increase income temporarily, increase the chances of a new stadium being approved, increase the capacity and expansion potential of the new stadium, and provide a little more funding when selling Pittodrie to build the new stadium, leaving less long term debt. There's also a bug causing some new stadiums to end up with a capacity of one which should be fixed in the next patch.
