A thorn in my side for years and years joins the force. The financial gain in replacing Bill Thomas with Fierro was significant and with his contract up in 6 months at the Etihad and a lack of football he'll be a brilliant teacher for McCulloch. Shame that he doesn't want a career after football but never mind. The worlds not perfect.

Made just over 100 appearances but was like the perfect son who raised himself into a world class player. Beats me having to play him every week but when i did he was class.




Bill Thomas - Stoke £5m


Not bad for 6 months work. Never looked top drawer so was looking to get rid. Replacing him with Fierro is just extra boost.

Somehow i forgot about this during January when he hit 500 games. Alex Butler was a player i chased for 2 summers before finally getting a deal together to bring him over from the merry old land of Oz. Until a injury this time last year Butler had been a permanent fix at Right Back when Age and the emerging Luis Carrera seen Alex become a back up. This was not all bad as Butler is the only player of mine so far to have agreed to spend there post playing career as a coach at Aberdeen.

WERE IN THE FINAL AGAIN!
We were a different team from the 1st leg dominating the tie but only finding 1 goal and McCulloch missing chance after chance to put us ahead. That all changed in the 88th minute when he struck his 2nd goal of the night close enough to the end to shut up shop and hold out for 4 minutes and put Barcelona out again.


Man City made absolutely sure of a repeat of the 2027 final where both side will look for there 4th title in 10 seasons showing the dominance of these two teams.
