Plan was to pick as strong a U23 team as possible then the best forward not in my Dutch squad and the other over 23's would be the 2 best players i could find for the 2 weakest positions but thanks to 4 injury's im relying on Henk Artoumian to lead me to the Gold Medal

The future has arrived at Aberdeen. New wing back Scott O'Neil will slowly take over from Blaha while Deng Nan, Petr Filip & Stuart Callaghan will share Jovic position. I still think we need another center midfielder which Scotland is not producing just now. Up front Parker takes over from Novosel as the end of last season was enough to convince me he's ready.

Denis Jovic - Man Utd - £50m
Was always going to leave this summer and we got 3 bids of £50m but since man Utd was one of them they got priority


Antonio Novosel - Liverpool - £37m
Was only getting bids of £23m as the summer began but Liverpool finally came in with a £37m bid like last winter. Nobody else came close.


Nailton - Aston Villa - £13.7m
I've been trying to sell him for the past 2 seasons. Turned out good but we have too many good Scottish forwards for Nailton to get chances.


Stef Luys - Benfica - £11.25m
He was going to be my starting midfielder with Jovic leaving but after rejecting the £7m bid from Benfica they returned with a better bid which for a relatively unproven u19 player who wouldn't be with me long term was good enough for me.




Youngster Charlie MacRae leaves for Reading


Marco Friedrichs disappointing time at the clubs ends as he leaves on a free. Golabek, Redford & Marcelo leave on loan.
